I have mixed a couple of Christmas sets and a very simple technique for a cute Christmas card. Trees are always a good option for Christmas cards and so simple to create.
Stamps and Dies
The main stamp set used is a Bundle available from the Online Exclusives. It is the Frosted Forest Bundle. And the trees from my card are from this Bundled set. The trees are stamped using Mossy Meadow Ink and then Die cut using matching Dies. The smaller tree was stamped twice with the second one “stamped Off” first. And the adorable little bird flying above is also from the set with a matching Die. There are actually two of the bird dies to make things a bit quicker for you.
The sentiment layer is a separate Stamp and Die Bundle. It is from the Peaceful Season Bundle. This one is a sentiment stamp set with great shapes for layering the sentiments. I love the one I have used here. The ribbon slots are handy but the little perforated design next to the slots is really pretty and a touch of fancy.
Papers
The brown shades I used here are not my normal Christmas colors. My thought was for a little more rustic than usual. I had the trees in the forest sort of idea and needed a DSP that would work with that. This piece from the Country Woods Designer Series Paper is what I decided on. And the touch of Pecan Pie in the wood grain led to the card base being Pecan Pie. The other color option was going to be Crumb Cake. They both look good against the DSP. So I decided to use both colors and made the Crumb Cake the layer.
These layers are a little smaller than usual to allow the Pecan Pie to help the colors of the DSP to stand out more. The Crumb Cake layer is 3 3/4 X 5 and the DSP is 3 5/8 X 4 7/8.
Technique
The technique may not really be a technique. However it gave the trees the finished look I wanted. I used Blending Brushes to add Mossy Meadow Ink to the stamped trees. They are stamped on Basic White using Mossy Meadow. So I made sure to keep the ink on the Blending Brush light. This could be accomplished using sponges or sponge daubers if you prefer. Those are definitely older techniques.
Finishes
There are not a lot of extras really added to this card. The sentiment layer, with having the ribbon slots, had to have some ribbon. I chose the Pecan Pie Center Stripe Ribbon. It does not show very much, but it is noticeable. Of course there must be Bling! I added the Pecan PIe from the Pecan Pie & Clear Ribbon Dots. They are not very shiny, but fit my theme perfectly.

This is the second version of this “view” card I have made. You can see the other version HERE. It is such a great way to make a quick card, but to also show off gorgeous DSP paper and scenes.
Paper
As with the previous card using this layout, the paper is the star really. For this card I have pulled out the beautiful Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper. I loved this paper last Holiday catalog and was so thrilled that it was carrying over. Of course I had to grab another pack of it with the DSP Sale earlier. This card is great to make multiples of as it only takes a small piece of DSP. I cut the DSP to 3 X 2 3/4. And then cut it into 1″ strips. The hardest part is keeping the strips in the proper order when cutting for multiples. Ask me how I know that!!!
To compliment the DSP, I chose the gorgeous Misty Moonlight as the card base. I love the blue gray and how it really pulls the color from the DSP. For the scene layer I went with Shaded Spruce to stand out a little bit. Even though it is another darker color, it does stand out. And in my figuring out the sentiment part, I cut the background from Misty Moonlight, when it should also have been Shaded Spruce. Duh! I did correct it for my Club ladies.
Stamps
There are two stamp sets used on the front of the card. The first is the background stamp on Misty Moonlight. It is a texture look that is stamped tone on tone with Misty Moonlight Ink. That stamp is from the Lovely & Sweet stamp set. Small background stamps are great to have on hand for adding small touches like this.
The second stamp used is the Unbounded Love stamp set for the sentiment. It is a sentiment only stamp set. This is actually a Bundled set with Dies that fit all of the sentiments. The small sentiment is bold and with a jaunty font as well. It is a tad large for the Die, but it works. The Die cuts the outside ruffled edge as well as the inside in one cutting. So I layered the White and Blue and cut it one time. With the Basic White being a thinner paper it was not a problem at all. I have a little tip for adhering these together. Place the White inside the scalloped outer section. And place them face down on your table. Add Stampin’ Dimensionals in each corner so it overlaps the center and the outer section. Very easy and it holds well.
Finishes
To add bling to a darker card can be a little tricky. For the bling portion of the finish I added a single Iridescent Pearl. Then I had to use the new Natural Tones Linen Thread as the add on to the paper view. I chose the dark blue, probably a Night of Navy. This is a bit thicker than the regular Linen Thread but not so thick that it is difficult to work with.

I generally do not make a lot of Halloween cards. However, you know how much I love the animal stamps from Stampin’ Up!. So today I have a Ghost to share. It may not fall in the “animal” category, but I think you get my idea. Fun and whimsy makes for a happy card.
Stamps
This fun ghost is from the Playful Ghost stamp set in the last new drop of Online Exclusives. The set contains a ghost dracula, one popping out of a pumpkin, and this one on the broom. There are also some small additional images and simple sentiments.
The ghost on the broom is my favorite so I had to start with her. Her because that just seems right!! And I gave her some pink cheeks. The coloring is minimal and was done with Stampin’ Blends. To add a bit more to the front of the card, I added the simple BOO to the corner. This is a fairly clean and simple card for me.
Layout and Papers
This simple layout can be used with so many options with the stripes. It is one of the sketches in the Annual Catalog. They are at the bottom of page 22 in the Annual Catalog. This one is on the bottom row about in the center. And you can see others of these layouts spread out in the catalog. Additionally SU added sketches to the Mini Catalog. They are on page 16 of that catalog. Sketches are such a great way to give you a starting point. At least it works for me.
The papers for my flying ghost are very simple. I went for a softer color pallet than bright like I normally do. Peach Pie is my card base with a layer of Basic White. The fabulous glimmer strips are from the Annual Catalog and are the 2024-2026 Glimmer Paper. I cut each strip 1/2″ X 3 1/4″ Peach Pie also layers the ghost. And for the added sentiment I stamped on a little piece of Peach Pie. The card just needed a little something extra and the small BOO was the answer.
Finishes
The glimmer paper added a good bit of my normal Bling to the card. And the addition of the stand out BOO, could have been enough. But you know me. I added a single Faux Glass Dot to the bottom right of the ghost layer. These are new in the Mini Catalog and are somewhat muted like old glass. I chose the light green as I had added a touch of green into the ghost’s hat. It doesn’t stand out a lot but does show more in person.
Thank you for stopping in today!! I hope you have a relaxing weekend.

I have another fairly tone on tone card to share with you. Yesterday’s card was a masculine one using Mossy Meadow. Today I have a fun generic one that stars Misty Moonlight.
Stamp set
This stamp set is one of the Fun ones in the Mini Catalog. I tend to gravitate towards whimsy and animals. So of course this one had to come to my house. It truly is a generic stamp set that is fun. I opted for the Hugs and Kisses but there is a Birthday that fits as well. And I love that it fits the 2 3/8 Circle Punch. Punches are a favorite of mine and I love when sets fit punches and Dies that we already have.
The tone on tone made color choices easy here. I stamped everything using Misty Moonlight Ink. I punched the circle first to get placement. Then I layed the top words, which are one stamp, and the bottom words, which are another stamp, on the circle. I could pick it up with the clear block and have my spacing perfect. Easy peasy!! The pup is stamped on scrap and fussy cut to pop up in the center.
Papers and Colors
The card base is Misty Moonlight, as was the ink used. And the DSP is from the Country Lace Designer Series Paper. Actually this Misty Moonlight sheet is the opposite side of what I stamped the trees on for yesterday’s card. This paper is very versatile!!
To keep this in the tone on tone, more or less…..I only added a thin white layer behind the DSP. But I did not want only the white focal layer. A quick and simple fix was to punch the same circle from Misty Moonlight card stock. It gives a sort of shadow look. The layers are 3 3/4 X 5 for the white and 3 5/8 X 4 7/8 of the DSP.
Finishes
To complete this card did not require very much. I looked at a variety of embellishments to even include ribbon. But nothing seemed just right. So I added a trio of the New Regal Foiled Adhesive Back Dots from the Mini Catalog. And I couldn’t be happier. The bit of gold fleck in the blue really shows off.
Thanks for stopping by today!!

The card I am sharing today is a case of one I received for my birthday. The layout is simple and the focal area could not be easier.
Papers
The focal layer is the DSP part of this card so I am beginning with paper. As I said above, this part is a quick one. I chose to use the Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper for my starring role. You could use any pretty paper and that in itself could be a hard to make decision because they are all so pretty. Anyway…..The background layer of Highland Heather measures 3 1/4 X 3. And the DSP equals 3 X 2 3/4. It is then cut into 1″ strips. I layed them on the Highland Heather and eyeballed the distance I needed to leave. But it does not have to be exact by any means. So how simple is that!!! And you get a striking focal layer so easily.
The other paper colors were pulled from the DSP. I went with Shaded Spruce for the card base and the embossed layer is Crumb Cake. The sentiment is on Basic White to help it stand out a bit more.
Stamps and Dies
There is only one stamp used on the front of the card and that is the sentiment. This beautiful font makes the Happy Birthday seem really fancy. The sentiment and the Die used to cut it are from the Unbounded Love Bundle. This is a sentiment only set and the Dies are shapes to hold all of the sentiments. Plus they are a great mix of sentiments.
Extras
The most noticeable Extra is the embossed layer. This is the new in the Mini Catalog Forever Plaid Embossing Folder. You can easily see the detail of this folder. It really stands out. The next Extra is the ribbon holding the sentiment layer. Again, this is a new in the Mini item. It is the Shaded Spruce Satin & Sheer Ribbon. I simply folded it and stapled it to the embossed layer. Such an easy addition and no bow tying! And last but not least is bling. These are from the Adhesive Backed Sequins Trio from the Annual Catalog. They bring color and a little shine with them.

I hope you are enjoying the new Mini Catalog. Please reach out if you have any questions that I can assist you with.
Today’s card is a quick masculine birthday card. I believe it would be a sweet sympathy / thinking of you card as well. Quick and versatile, that is always a winner in my book.
Stamps
The main stamp set used is the Delicate Forest stamps. The tree and the leaves are both from this set. I love that tree! It is a single tree that I stamped twice at full strength and then the center tree was stamped off first. It stands out more in person. And the leaves were stamped down the side to fill in that area. Plus it is almost time for that to begin happening around here. Some of you may already see leaves falling.
The sentiment is the only stamp not included in the Delicate Forest set. This small birthday is from the Loveliest Tree stamp set. I kept it in the tree family today!
Papers and Ink
The card base and the Ink are both Mossy Meadow. It is very rare for me to only have one color like this. Although I did add Very Vanilla for the sentiment layer as well as on the inside. I wanted this to be a quick and easy one to duplicate.
The paper the trees are stamped on may be a bit difficult to really see. It is from the Country Lace Designer Series Paper. It has almost a linen look to it. But is very soft. It provides some added texture I believe.
Extras
The simple part of the card does include a few extras. However they are items you may already have in your stash and are easy to grab. First is the Die for the sentiment layer. I used the smallest rectangle from the Nested Essentials Dies. These are such handy Dies that I highly recommend them. With rounded rectangles, banners and a long, slim, stretched diamond shape these dies fit about any stamp you would want to use.
The next addition is the green Baker’s Twine at the top. This is a new in the Mini Catalog three color Natural Tones Linen Thread. And the final extra is the bling. Except there are two! I used the , also new in the Mini Catalog, Woven Golden Leaves. These are so pretty. They are almost see through they are so light. And finally the Regal Foiled Adhesive Back Dots that are also from the Mini. These are in a few different colors. Of course I went with the green for this pretty monotone card.

The Changing Leaves Bundle is my favorite of the current OnLine Exclusives. I have made a previous card using this bundle, but could not resist another one. The muted tones seem to help the leaves stand out very well.
Bundle
To say that these leaves are wonderful is an understatement. The details of the embossed image is so clear and interesting. This Embossing Folder is also a Hybrid. That means it is able to have a Die placed inside and cut out the largest mix of leaves. I did not use that feature, I simply love the embossing.
The Wild Wheat leaves are two Dies in the set also. Plus the sentiment layer with the stitching and rounded ends is great. The sentiment is a simple one that I love and is part of the stamp set. I think the card would bring a smile to anyone.
Papers
The card base is Wild Wheat, as are the extra leaves. I added the layer in Copper Clay and the banner behind the sentiment is too. To keep that simple I took a strip and simply flagged one end. For the main layer and sentiment Basic Beige was my choice. This new addition to our colors is quickly becoming a favorite. It pairs with almost any color.
Finishes
The embossed layer with the added 3D leaves are stand out enough really. But I wanted to give it a little more texture. My bling for this card is the Pecan Pie & Clear Ribbon Adhesive Dots. That is a mouth full for sure! But these embellishments are wonderful and add a little extra with the sparkle strips you can see inside of them.
Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

I shared the Joy Fold card with you a couple of weeks ago. Today is another version. This is such a fabulously simple card to make. As well as a way to share both sides of the designer paper.
Papers
The beautiful Unbounded Beauty Designer Series paper is the star of the card today. This sheet has the bright Petunia Pop as well as the Summer Splash floral side. And that is the reason I love this Fun Fold. Sometimes I hate having to choose between the sides of a sheet of DSP. I love both sides and want to use both sides. This Fun Fold is the answer to that dilemma.
The extra colors are all pulled from the floral piece of DSP. I chose Summer Splash as the card base, which is 4 1/4 X 5 1/2. The Basic White Layer is a little brighter than the lightest color in the paper that is the stems. But it helps everything else pop. That layer is 4 X 5 1/4. And the DSP is 6 X 5, with the score at 2 1/4. Be sure and score with the side you want on the flap face down. Also, if you are using directional paper, as I did, that it needs to be at the top.
The little card is Basic White to partner with the layer. It measures 4 X 5 1/2 and is scored at 2 3/4. I used a scrap of another piece from the DSP as the layer here. It is 2 1/4 X 3 1/2 with the White 2 X 3 1/4.
Here is the open card.
Stamps and Dies
The Flowers of Beauty Bundle is the stamp set used. The flowers partner well with the DSP. It is part of the Suite! I stamped the leaves with Summer Splash and then the flowers with Petunia Pop. Plus I used a scrap of Petunia Pop card stock and a die from the set to cut the extra flowers. This die cuts 5 or 6 flowers at one time. I only used these few.
For the inside of the card I stamped the plant again, but I stamped off first for a lighter image. That allows for your message and signature to show through. All of the sentiments are from the Unbounded Love stamp. This is another set available in the Suite of Products.
Finishes
This card did not really need extras! The DSP is bright and cheery enough on it’s own. But you know me. Plus, the added flowers have a hole in the center. I added them to the card with a glue dot. And the glue dot is in the center. So I filled that center with my bling. I used the 2024-2026 Resin Dots in Pretty In Pink. That is the lighter pink in the floral DSP.
