Welcome to InKing Royalty’s May Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are having fun with our stamping favorites – our favorite themes for seasonal cards and projects. This month’s projects are centered around Travel & Transportation, so prepare yourself for a fun journey. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Last week I was “chillin’ on the beach”. So I decided that would become the theme for my card. For me at least there are two relaxing places, the mountains and the beach. I hope you get the Relaxing feeling from this card.
Visualize
Can you see the water in this fabulous paper? This piece is from the Expressions In Ink Designer Series Paper. The patterns and colors truly are beautiful. This is a back side, you know how I love to use the opposite sides, of one with gold highlighting a similar pattern as this. The swirly colors of the Gulf water is what I see here.
To create the sandy beach, I tore a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock in a rough and rounded direction. The palm trees and other stamps are from the Timeless Tropical stamp set. I used Markers to Red Rubber technique to color the palm trees. After stamping, I did touch up the bark area with a Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blend. There are three different greens used for the leaves. They are Just Jade, Soft Succulent, and Evening Evergreen Stampin’ Write Markers. Sadly the Stampin’ Write Markers are not sold individually. They are available in Color Families however.
Highlights
To finish off the beachy scene, I die cut everything using the matching dies named In The Tropics Dies. The flowers are one die that cuts three different flowers. The tiny pieces you see on the beach are the centers of the flowers. They look like miniature flowers and were too cute to discard.
The sentiment is from the Timeless Tropical, as well as all of the stamped images. The tag is from the stand alone dies called Tailor Made Tags Dies. I love these tags. Please check them out if you have not noticed them before. They are so handy!
The finishing touches are the flowers on the beach and the tag. I added the new 2021-2023 In Color Jewels for the flower centers. The ribbon pull on the “luggage tag” is the shimmery Flirty Flamingo Metallic Ribbon. Sometimes having the metallic threads makes the ribbon a bit stiff. This one is very soft and pliable.

I have a sneak peek of new products to share today. This Suite is going to Wow everyone. Especially if you love to travel, as I do! It is the World Of Good Suite of products.
I know we are all on hold for our travel plans, as well as most plans, right now. However, I can still plan the next trip and remember fondly those I have already made. This stamp set is so pretty and I am only using a portion. The Designer Series Paper is World Of Good DSP. The map piece is GORGEOUS! It is in the new In Color Cinnamon Cider with Bronze Highlights. Oh My!! The map is of Europe and is very easy to see the locations. I really hated to cover it up.
The compass is another of the sheets from the DSP. And you can really see the awesome color of the second new In Color of Misty Moonlight. That is by far my favorite of the new colors. The base of the card is from that color as well. As is the ribbon! Love, Love, Love it!!!
I used probably the lesser of the stamps in the stamp set, but they fit the idea I had in my head. I stamped the feather in Gray Granite Ink and then the ink well and sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black. The additional little details are three of the 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots. I have always loves using the various enamel dots Stampin’ Up! has carried and these are in the best colors ever.
I have a tip for cutting the angle of the sentiment layer. I have the written directions and then two photos.
The piece of Whisper White is cut to 2 7/8 X 3 1/4
With the 2 7/8 across the top, place the top left corner on the 3/4″ mark on your paper trimmer.
Place the bottom right corner on the 1″ mark of your trimmer.
Cut off the angle that has.
Thank you for stopping by today. Please let me know what you think of my project and odd shapes.

Below are links to the two Retiring or Last Chance Lists. Keep in mind, a Bundle may retire, but the stamp set and dies or punch can still carry over. So look for the individual item. Also, all of the Stampin’ Blends are not retiring. It is only that in the new catalog, they will be sold in the combo pack only. The only ones retiring are the 2018-2020 In Color ones.
You may also click on the Shop Now on my Menu bar and be taken to my online store. There you can see all of the Retiring / Last Chance items as well as all other products.

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s June Blog Hop! This year’s Blog Hop themes are inspired by a single word – and this month our projects are centered around NEW. With the launch of Stampin’ Up!’s 2019 Annual Catalog, NEW gives us the opportunity to showcase new products and play with new colors. There are also new occasions (babies, weddings, graduations) to celebrate, so you are going to see a variety of projects in this hop. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
My card reflects two of the NEW theme ideas. I am showcasing a NEW stamp set, Winds of Change. I looked at this set when I received my catalog and it was a must have. As you know, I love to color with the Stampin’ Blends, and this set is perfect for coloring. I also LOVE to travel. Next month I am going on another Viking River Boat Cruise. And we begin in Amsterdam! I have never been to Amsterdam before, so this is my second NEW for the theme. I am so excited about the trip, and am equally excited to share my card idea with you.
Even the sentiment on the card goes along with the theme! I googled Amsterdam and looked at all of the windmills for some color inspiration. They are typically brownish, but the blades can be different colors. I added just a touch of the Granny Apple Green to my blades to match the bottom section of the windmill building.
All of the pictures I saw were in vibrant colors, so that is what I went with. I always prefer a mix of colors in flowers, so I mixed my tulips and then added a whimsical touch with the butterfly. The butterfly is from the Hold On To Hope stamp set and the Cross of Hope Framelits. I colored it with Granny Apple and Daffodil Delight markers then die cut it.
The sentiment is done with my favorite new technique. I used the Rectangle Stitched Framelits and cut to fit the size I needed. (As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, there are several videos out there on how to do this little trick).

I am running around like crazy these last couple of days. So I have the Ultimate Quick and Easy card to share with you. It really cannot get any easier than this.
This really sweet card is just perfect for a fellow traveling friend. The best part, there is NO Stamping on it. Well, there is on the inside. I know…..It’s shocking that I would share a No Stamping card. Well, sometimes they are just called for. This is made with the Fabulous Come Sail Away Memories and More Card Pack. These are double sided cards in two sizes. You get a lot of them. There are also stickers, some with place for writing if you are using it for scrapbooking. But they are all gorgeous.
This one is 4 X 6 and I cut it down to 4 X 5 1/4. The only thing I did to the front is to add the gold Metallic Pearl to the center of the compass. I debated on using the silver one, but decided the old time compass would have been brass, so gold fit better.
Please don’t overlook products like this in the new catalog! They are those hidden gems that you come to love. Tomorrow I will have another of the Hidden Gems to share, so I hope you will return.
