Today’s card is one I made for a very special person. A friend’s son is in the military and was injured pretty severely. He is back in the U.S. and has already undergone several surgeries, with more to come. There is not much I can do for him or the family. But sending a card is right up my alley. Even if I am a bit late in doing so. Please put this young man in your prayers if you would.
So here is the card.
Waterfront, 146386
I love this font on the Wishing You Well. It is from the Wishing You Well stamp set. Although I should have left a white space for it. The Shaded Spruce is sort of covering it. Also, I failed to mention the main set I used is the Waterfront stamp set.
Here is the inside piece.
This gorgeous sentiment is from the More Than Words stamp set. It is on the retiring list, but I think it will be hanging around my house a bit longer!
Thank you for stopping by today! I have listed all of the products at the bottom of the post.

I have a very simple and quick card to share today. I have fallen back to the annual catalog for the Rooted In Nature stamp set. I wanted to showcase some of the retiring colors and thought the nature set would be perfect.
Rooted In Nature, 146482
I used the Tranquil Tide and Lemon Lime Twist retiring ink colors as well as Granny Apple Green. The leaf that looks sort of Blue is the Tranquil Tide. It is really amazing how colors sort of change when next to other colors.
The sentiment is a favorite of mine. I love the look it gives. I flanked it with the Lemon Lime Twist smaller leaves and then made a tag from the Banner Triple Punch. Of course I had to add something else. So I decided on the Linen Thread. You can never go wrong with that thread!!
Thank you for stopping by today. I appreciate it and as always have listed all of the products used at the bottom of the post.

The retiring list of Stampin’ Up! products was published yesterday afternoon. I have a link to it in my Online Store after this post. Or you can simply click on the Shop tab at the top of the page and go there anytime. REMINDER: There are quite a lot of products that are carrying over. But if they are part of a bundle currently, they will show that retiring!!! That is just you can no longer get it in a bundle with the 10% discount after the new catalog goes live.
I am sharing one of the retiring stamp sets from the Occasions catalog. So do not panic, it is still available now. It is the Easter Set, His Grace. I love this set for the sentiments and the images. I do not think it has been given near enough love by folks. So I am sharing it today for a non-Easter card. I hope it will inspire you to try it.
His Grace, 148676
This was really a pretty quick card to make. It is stamped and then colored with Stampin’ Blends. If you follow my blog you know already how much I love coloring with these guys. This was very simple and I like that.
The corners are punched using one end of the Trio Corner Punch just to give it a little attention other than adding ribbon or other embellishments.
The sentiment is from Accented Blooms, a sweet set from the Annual Catalog. I love the look of stamping the sentiment across a focal point.
Thank you for visiting today. I do have the link to the Retiring Lists and hope you will grab anything you are interested in right away so as not to be disappointed. The retiring In Colors will be among the first items to sell out. I also have a HOST CODE listed below if you would like to place an order.
If you place an order with me, please use the April Host Code of 3KNKXJFH. If your order is $75.00 (of product) or more, I will send you a small gift. I have a cute cup of tea to share with you today! All I need to go with it is a lovely scone. I have traveled across England and Scotland eating my way in scones! So anytime I see the lovely Tea Together stamp set I want a scone to go with the tea. Alas, no scones for today’s card but there is a sweet rose instead.
Tea Together, 148779
I love the unexpected of the rose inside the tea cup. I die cut it with the Tea Time Framelits. They were part of Sale-A-Bration and is supposed to carry over to the next annual catalog. The rose is the only part of the card that is die cut. I wanted a simpler look for today. When I adhered the rose, I straight cut across the bottom of the rose to match the cup edge. Also, I did not put adhesive on the leaves, only the rose. I sort of lifted up on the leaves to give them the 3D look.
The sentiment is from the same stamp set. I stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and punched it out with the 1 1/8″ scallop circle punch. The heart is the Heart Epoxy Droplets that I colored with the Dark Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blend. I love these hearts, and the ability to make them any color you want.
Thank you for stopping by today. I very much appreciate you looking at my projects. I also, love to read your comments.
As always, the complete supply list is at the bottom of the post.
I have found myself looking over the stamp sets I have from the Annual Catalog. As I look at them, I am wondering which will carry over and which will I be sad to see go if they do not. Unfortunately we must say goodbye to some in order to add new.
Ones that we know will not carry over are the Host Rewards Stamp Sets. So I have used my favorite one for today’s card. It is the Just Because set.
Just Because, 148786
I love the stamps from this set. They are all flowers with a sweet and very useful sentiment. I consider this card a Clean and Simple card. And any of the stamps in this set, Just Because, would make a beautiful similar card.
The only thing I added from just Ink and Paper is the Embossing Folder. This one is the Tin Tiles Embossing Folder which was a carryover from the Holiday Catalog. I have my fingers crossed that it carries on into the next Annual Catalog! I love the texture it gives to a card. I have not been using my embossing folders lately. I have been more focused on the beautiful designer series paper that Stampin’ Up! carries. When I made yesterday’s card which used the Dot to Dot Embossing Folder, I realized I had missed the folders. So of course I used another one today.
Thank you for stopping in today. Please return tomorrow for another new project. All of the supplies are listed at the bottom of the post. And it is a pretty short list today!
I am back to my bright colors with a quick but dimensionally card. (I’m not really sure that is a word!) I used the Dot To Dot Embossing Folder and it really adds a punch to the card. Here is is:
Dot To Dot Textured Embossing Folder, 148533
I paired the DOTS with my favorite dot designer series paper from the Share What You Love Designer Paper. And added a few more dots in the Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins.
This is one of those very versatile cards. You can really change it up just by adding a different sentiment. I used the Wonderful Romance stamp set for the flowers and sentiment in the circle. I wanted to cover the center of the doily and needed a large circle. So I had to do the background stamping to justify the size of the white circle. I like having the soft leaves in the background there.
Thank you for visiting today. I hope you will return tomorrow for another quick card. All of the supplies I used are at the bottom of the post. Have a great day!!
