Today for me means Fall!! I always think of October as the change into Fall with leaves becoming the gorgeous Fall colors and a relief from the heat of Summer. It also makes me think of Paper Crafting and Stampin’ Up! of course! World Card Making Day is October 3rd this year. And what a great way to start the month than making cards. Stampin’ Up! has added to that fun with a Designer Series Paper Sale! 15% OFF of select papers. I have them all listed below. I love that it is simply the 15% off and not buy a certain amount to get a free one.
I am sharing a card today that has one of these sale papers as the main design. It is the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper. This paper was in last year’s Holiday catalog and was a Returning Favorite this year.
The Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper is two sided as all of Stampin’ Up!’s DSP, but this one is a bit different. The patterns are the same on both sides. The only difference is that one side is Garden Green and the other is Real Red. I love this!
This is a super quick card to make. I simply layered a strip of the Toile Tidings onto a strip of Real Red and adhered it to the front. The tag is made using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch along with the Rectangle Postage Stamp Punch. I believe they layered wonderfully together. The sentiment is from the Rustic Christmas stamp set. It is in the Annual Catalog and a favorite of mine. The images are all a bit on the smaller side and pair very well with this DSP. I finished it off with the 3/8″ Embroidered Ribbon from the Mini Catalog.
Here is a look at the inside of the card.
The little sprig is from the Rustic Christmas stamp set as well. And the DSP is another of the Toile Tidings patterns. You may not have really noticed from the front view of the card, but the front is cut shorter than the back. I wanted the striped DSP to show with the card closed. Plus it gives a bit of a different look, and I love different folds and cuts to cards. I have all of the measurements listed just below.
The card base is 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4. Cut 1 1/4″ off of the front piece.
The striped DSP is cut to 5 1/2 x 1 1/2″ . This ensures there will not be a gap when the card is closed.
The front DSP is cut to 5 1/2 X 2
The Real Red beneath the DSP is cut to 5 1/2 X 2 1/4
The Real Red Tag is 2 X 2 1/2 prior to being punched
Thank you for stopping by today. Please return tomorrow for another new project!

My Pocket Flap Card, I think I need a better name, is one I have done previously. I will add links to those later on. Today’s version is a quick Christmas Card. And one thing I love about this fold is that you can easily slip a gift card inside as well.
I paired the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper with the Gold Foil for a very classy look. The DSP is one of the Returning Favorites from last Holiday Catalog and is in the current Mini Catalog. The small ornament punch is also part of the Returning Favorites. It is a pair of punches, this one and a larger ornament, named Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack.
The sentiment across the top and the image on the inside are from the Tag Buffet Stamp set. This can be purchased with a Kit of tags or the stamp set alone. I love the stamp set and especially this Merry Christmas. Speaking of the Merry Christmas, I have stated previously that I dislike the Metallic Inks due to the messy and time consuming clean up. I have discovered the Cinnamon Cider Ink seems to have the same color and metallic look without the mess. When I stamped here and placed it against the foil, I was extremely pleased!!! I believe it is a perfect match and no messy clean up!
Here is a look at the inside of the card:
The white card pulls out for plenty of writing space. And since the bottom section is secured along each side, you have a secure spot to add a gift card if you wish.
NOTE: I used Tear & Tape to secure the sides here. I also put the inside white card in place when I secure the sides. And if adding a gift card, you would definitely want to place the gift card as you are securing it. This ensures you have enough room and it is not too tight and does not try to bend your card.
You can click HERE (this one has a video attached ) and HERE to see previous cards with this type fold.
Measurements:
Base card is 5 1/2 X 8 1/2, scored at 2 1/4 and 6 1/4 , or 2 1/4 from each end. (The folded card ends up as 5 1/2 X 4 instead of 4 1/4)
NOTE: The two “flaps” are the same measurements, it does not matter which you choose as the top.
Front flap Foil bases are 5 1/4 X 2 ( you need 2)
Front DSP is 5 X 1 3/4
Front White is 5 X 1 3/4
Inside card is 3 1/2 X 4 3/4
When securing bottom flap to hold inside card, lay the card in place before peeling off the Tear & Tape to secure the flap. This ensures you have room to easily slide the card in and out. If you are adding a gift card, lay it down there as well prior to securing.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you have a good rest of your day!

Today I have a twist to an old technique. Do you remember the “spotlighting” technique of many years ago? We would stamp a large image and then draw a circle, or stamp again on scrap and punch a circle. Then you only colored the image inside that circle. So today’s card began with that idea.
My idea of the “spotlight” didn’t quite work out. I planned to spotlight the wreath, but that looked odd because of the light just above it. It would have been a long oval instead of a circle. So I finally decided just to do the light pole and wreath. I am happy with how it turned out. I would still call this “spotlighting”, just a different version!
All of the stamps are from the Light Me Home stamp set. I love this image. It seems to be the Old Fashioned Christmas card look. I wanted Rich colors for the card and chose Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce. The colors I used in the wreath are all the Light color of each of the Stampin’ Blends. They are all listed in my supply list at the bottom of the post.
The sentiment is from the stamp set and is cut using the Layering Circles Dies. To give it a grounded look, I cut a strip of Shaded Spruce 1/2″ X 2 1/2″ and used the Banner Pick A Punch to make the banner end.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you will return tomorrow for another new project. Also, there are only two more days to take advantage of the Starter Kit Promotion I have listed below. Check it out before it is gone.

I am sharing almost the entire suite of the Heartwarming Hugs Suite of products in today’s project. I have 3D, stamping, wrapping, tag making and cuteness!
Not only are these products adorable, but they are very quick to make. I see these as great Hostess, Neighbor, Teacher, Co-worker, or just a Friend gift. The carrier comes in a pack of 8, as do the coffee cups and lids. The cups are the equivalent of a small coffee at a coffee shop or drive thru. So they hold quite a bit of goodness. Here is a view of one I filled with fun items.
I filled it with things I had on hand. I added a gift card, a hand sanitizer from Bath and Body (so you know the size), and 3 Merci Chocolates. I envision having one hold these type items and the other maybe coffee or hot chocolate. I believe that would be a great pairing. Or they both could hold drink materials.
Here is a picture of the two cups. I sacrificed one cup to get the band measurements and it worked with some minor trimming after being secured around the cup. The little “wrap” is a die in the Bundle, as are the decorations.
All of the round sentiments are from the Warm Hugs stamp set. There are a couple of different dies to cut them. I added the tag to the carrier by using the Fancy Tag Punch and the Real Red Braided Trim. The little added bow is the Mossy Meadow Diagonal Striped Ribbon. And since you have seen it several times lately since I LOVE it!!!!!, the DSP is the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper.
Thank you for visiting with me today. I hope this gives you some great gift ideas to fill these cute cups with.

I love the stamp set Don’t Stop Believin’ and have used two of the three images previously. You can see those HERE and HERE. So today I am sharing the third image. They are all adorable and it is hard to choose a favorite. Maybe you can help me with which one you think is the best one.
The hot chocolate was Frosty’s downfall! I wanted Frosty to be the focal point so he is backed with some Foil. I backed the sentiment the same.
This is a really quick card to put together. The Whisper White layer is embossed with the Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder. I really LOVE this folder!! The strip of DSP is from Brightly Gleaming and was a leftover from another card. So that was a perfect find. I tend to have a lot of layers, and even though there are layers here, this card seems a bit more “clean” looking. Maybe it is all of the whisper white.
For inishing touches I added the bow, which is the Misty Moonlight ribbon. And the Bronze Star that is a carryover from last year. Or Returning may be a better word.
Thank you for stopping in today! Please come back tomorrow for another new project. Also, we are about half way through September, where has the time gone?????, but that also means we are halfway through the time you have to consider the Starter Kit Promotion. The Light Me Home set is such a classic winter scene that I knew I had to have it. Then trying to design the card was a bit more troublesome. When I saw the current Global Design Project Color Challenge, it made me immediately think of this set. And I had been asked about a Skinny card for a class I have coming up. My idea for using the color challenge on the sky fit perfectly for a tall and skinny card. This way I have a lot more sky to play with.
The Global Design Project Challenge is a Color Challenge. #GDP267
I really love these colors and they fit perfectly for the sky with my Light Me Home stamp. I sponged all three colors beginning with the Balmy Blue at the top. I overlapped each one just a bit. I also stamped the image in Misty Moonlight.
I could have added more color to the stamped area, but decided I liked the “snowy” look with the beautiful sky above. It did need a bit of Something else. So I added a few snowflakes in Balmy Blue to the night sky. The snowflakes are from the Flight of Fancy stamp set.
The sentiment is from the stamp Light Me Home set also. I stamped it with Highland Heather on the Balmy Blue card stock. The layers are die cut using the Layering Circles. I added a single Pearl for a touch of glimmer and as an acknowledgement of the snow.
Thank you for stopping in today. Please return tomorrow for Pals September Blog Hop.
