Anyone that knows me well at all is familiar with my love of purses and shoes. My shoes are more on the comfortable side (Birkenstocks and Hoka tennis shoes). When I saw the sentiment in the Dress To Impress stamp set regarding buy the shoes, I was sold! The humor along with a favorite thing was just perfect.
Does this sentiment speak to you like it did me? I am a firm believer in life is short and to enjoy the things you love. Those high heels would not be going home with me, but I can still admire the look of them. One thing I do love is the Best Dressed Suite of products.
The Best Dressed 6X6 Designer Series Paper is as beautiful as all of Stampin’ Up!’s DSP. One side is purses, shoes, perfume, and the other side is like this striped pattern. I tend to go with the “opposite” sides of the DSP. I pulled my color combination directly from the DSP. It is one of my favorite ways to plan a card.
The thought of “Buy the shoes” made me think of a gift card for someone to purchase their choice of shoes. So I went with my go to gift card holder. Here is a view of the inside.
Oops on me for the Book gift card. A tip I always give when making a gift card holder is to place the card as you are securing that layer. It allows the extra space you need for a card so it is not a tight fit when you do add one. I forgot to take this one out. I promise that when the card is delivered it will have the appropriate card inside! 🙂
There are several gift card holders in my Gallery at the top of the page. You can search for them and see different versions of this style. It is very easy to do and holds a gift card perfectly.
Thank you so much for visiting today. I love to read your comments and answer any questions you may have.
Remember that it is Sale-A-Bration time!! I would love to send you a catalog if you do not have a demonstrator.
I would also love to talk with you about the Ultimate Shopping Experience , the Starter Kit! There is NO OBLIGATIONS to do anything beyond ordering the kit. You pay $99.00 + tax and receive $125.00 of your choice of products + any stamp set from any active catalog (the most expensive one is the Well Said set with a $45.00 price + the Mini Paper Cutter, a $26.50 value + the 6X6 DSP sampler pack (48 sheets of DSP) an $11.50 value + a Paper Pumpkin Kit with a value of $22.00 + FREE Shipping which is usually 10% of the order and would add another $23.00 value here. But while you are trying it out, and you have until the end of July before your trial period runs out, you are part of my Team! As well as my upline. The list below is the CARRYOVER List. Items from the Holiday Catalog that will carry over to the 2020 Holiday Catalog. They will not be orderable between the two catalogs however.
You could say I am carrying over yesterday’s Valentine Blog Hop with InKing Royalty. I have made a sweet and loving card using the new stamp set Special Someone. It is an accurate name for an adorable set. It reminds me of the Nature’s Beauty stamp set that was in the Holiday Catalog and carried over.
This card was made with the First Sketch from Mary Fish’s Stampin’ Pretty Sketchbook. #sps001. She shared the sketch on 01/13/2020. Here is the sketch.
I noticed in the Mini Catalog samples for Special Someone that the Squirrel and the Rat are facing each other. And even though I really, really, really dislike rats or mice, I do love the set. So they were my little love couple. The lovebirds are cut out using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I love the scalloped edge. And with the stitching they are very easy to adjust the size, which is what I had to do to shorten the piece for fit the couple.
I used a solid piece of Calypso Coral card stock behind the loverbirds and layered it on top of a great piece of DSP from the Bird Ballads Designer Series Paper. The Burlap Ribbon and Linen Thread are perfect partners. I needed something for the dots on the DSP so pulled out the faithful pearls. I colored them with the Dark Old Olive Stampin’ Blend. If you have not tried this, you really should. They dry almost immediately and you can then have dots in any color you need.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you will come back tomorrow for another new project.

The new Painted Poppies Bundle Suite of products is Amazing!!! There are actually two bundles of products that coordinate perfectly together. The Painted Poppies and the Peaceful Moments Bundles. They are both on page 25 of the Mini Catalog.
Today I have a simple card that uses the Painted Poppy stamp with a sweet layout to put the focal point on the one single poppy with a stem.
The background for this card is a sheet of the gorgeous Peaceful Poppies DSP. The sentiment is from the adorable stamp set Bonanza Buddies.
The flower image is stamped in Smoky Slate ink for a softer flower base and colored with Stampin’ Blends. It is then layered on Rich Razzleberry Card Stock. The sentiment is stamped in Old Olive Ink and layered on Pool Party Card Stock. I placed Stampin’ Dimensionals on each end of the sentiment so that it layers over the flower layer.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you will return on Monday to see more new projects. All of the supplies I used are listed at the bottom of the page.

I have another sneak peek to share with you. This is one of the cutest sets from the upcoming Mini Catalog. I needed a birthday card and wanted it to be humorous. I had the new products near and when I looked through them I was immediately drawn to the Bonanza Buddies and Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper.
This card was for my upline Brian King on his birthday. After looking at the DSP, I knew it had to be the lion. Do you get it? The King of animals and Brian King, InKing Royalty. It made me laugh!
I paired the sentiment with a new punch. The back layer is the Timeless Label Punch and the front is the new Label Me Fancy Punch. They were a perfect fit.
I don’t usually show the inside of the cards. This one needed to be shared as I love this sentiment which is part of the Bonanza Buddies set. It is a perfect sentiment and I see using it by masking off the birthday part for other occasions.
Thank you for visiting today. Please come back tomorrow for another new project. I know you are all busy with Christmas almost here. I appreciate you sharing your time with me.

You may have seen the Gangs All Meer stamp set in the upcoming Sale-A-bration catalog. I have seen several sneak Peeks of them. So I am sharing one today. It fit perfectly with my Global Design Project Case The Designer Challenge.
The Gangs All Meer makes an adorable card that any age recipient would love. I know I would. It makes me Smile!! The Case The Designer Challenge (GDP220) is such a fun challenge. Casing is Using the card for inspiration, colors, layout, and everything down to almost copying it. Of course if you copy exactly please give credit to the person you copied.
In this instance, here is the card I Cased.
These challenges are a great way to get ideas when you cannot get anything to work from your brain to your hands. I have that problem quite often and look back at challenges to get an idea.
I paired the stamped image with the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper. I love the colors it contains. Of Course my card base and layers are from that striped piece of DSP. The ribbon is Calypso Coral Satin ribbon and is a great way to “ground” the framed focal point.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you will return tomorrow for another new project. And if you need a hint to someone for a gift for yourself, or if you have a stamping friend who is hard to by for, I Have Gift Certificates. All you have to do is contact me and I will do it right away.

The new Sale-A-Bration Host set is Little Ladybug. You may have seen some samples with it. I have made a cute birthday card that I hope you will enjoy.
I used a variety of the stamps from the set. In fact, all of the stamps I used are from the set. I stamped everything using the Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends.
The designer paper is another of the “back” sides of paper I love to use. This is from Perennial Essence DSP. I paired it with Daffodil Delight and the Burlap Ribbon.
I hope this set will add to your excitement for the Sale-A-Bration event coming up! Thanks for stopping by and please return again tomorrow for another new project.
