I have been playing in my happy space all weekend preparing for upcoming club and class. My mind has actually been creating some fun cards and one of the best is the one I have to share with you. It uses the Thanks A Bunch stamp set from Sale-A-Bration. There is nothing better than a Free stamp set that is a good one!
Stamps
These carrots as well as the sentiment are from the Thanks A Bunch set. The carrots are stamped using Pumpkin Pie Ink and then the detail is stamped using Soft Suede Ink. I tried Pumpkin Pie and stamping off for one layer but it was too light. The darker for the scratches on the carrot look more realistic I believe. For the leaves I did stamp off. They are stamped using Old Olive Ink with a second stamping for the shadow.
Papers
There are a variety of papers mixed together on this card. Having all of the DSP makes mixing and matching both challenging and fun! I started with Pear Pizzaz as the card base. And no I did not use it on any of the stamping. I simply liked the lighter green. The two layers of DSP are both from the Tea Boutique Designer Series paper from the Annual Catalog. That paper has tea related items and florals on one side and fun designs on the opposite. These are both “opposite” sides of 2 papers.
Dies, Punches, and Embellishments
The scalloped edge on the left was made using the Scalloped and Contours Die set. Sadly I do not think to use these fun edging dies very often. I believe it works great on this card though. Because I wanted all of the scallops to show, I left a wider area and have that DSP only showing on one side. The striped DSP piece is showing all around the carrot layer.
To finish the card took some thinking and looking around. I finally decided to add the Parakeet Party Metallic Ribbon around the carrot layer. This added some dimension and shine as well as grounding the sentiment. The sentiment is stamped on the same DSP as the scallops are from. Yes I love this and again do not think of doing it very often! The little oval is from the Double Oval Punch. And the final step on this one is to add some of the Iridescent Pastel Gems. They are fairly light and do not show well in the photo. There are three total, two green and one orange.
Thank you for visiting with me. I hope you have a great day!

The Playing In The Rain stamp set is such a fun set that I cannot stop using it. Today I have the adorable happy bunny to make your day.
Stamps
The animals in the Playing In The Rain Bundle, stamp set and dies, are just as amazing as others from Stampin’ Up!. This little guy looks so thrilled to be playing in the puddle. Or it could be that it has finally stopped raining! I know that feeling. 🙂 The bunny and the clouds are stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored with Stampin’ Blends. All of the colors are listed in the Supply List at the bottom of the page. One thing about this image that I love is that I remembered it is ok to stamp off the page. The clouds did not all fit and that is fine!
The only die used was for the umbrella. There are a lot of dies in this bundle, but I only needed the one here. Placing the umbrella over the edge of the focal layer makes it stand out a bit more. Especially since it is colored similar to the rain jacket. Plus it gives a little more texture to the card.
The sentiment is from the Happy Labels Bundle. For the rainy scene, the YAY! expresses the bunny’s happiness perfectly. I also used the Happy Labels Punch to give the ends of the sentiment a little fun. Remember that this is one of the stamp sets that can be purchased in Photopolymer or Cling (red rubber) so pay attention when placing your order for the one you want.
Papers
This fun DSP is once again from the Dandy Designs Designer Series Paper. It is one of the $100.00 options from Sale-A-Bration. And it is definitely a great option with the number of sheets of DSP you receive in this pack. Plus the colors and patterns are bright and perfect for Spring and Summer.
For a change the DSP did not come first in making this card. I knew there would be a Balmy Blue piece in some of the DSP I have. So I did not even look until afterwards. The main choice was the raincoat colors, which determined the card base and layers. Surprisingly the Calypso Coral and Balmy Blue work beautifully together.
Thank you for visiting today! I hope you have a Sun Shiny Day!!

Flowers are blooming all around. So I have a very Springy type floral card to share with you today starring Petal Park.
Stamps
These fun flowers and leaves are from the Petal Park Bundle. It is a Punch Bundle, which I really Love! The punch has the three different flowers and one leaf. And these stamps are wonderful. Besides the three flowers, which are on one stamp, and the leaves, there are two large stamps. The larger ones are the greenery you see on my card. There is an outline and then filler. I used Soft Succulent for the filler and Evening Evergreen for the details. And the flowers are Starry Sky on the details and Fresh Freesia as the filler.
There are no sentiments in the Petal Park Bundle. Coming to the rescue here is the Sentiment Only set of Happy Labels Bundle. This is also a Punch Bundle! Woohoo!! And it is a sentiment only set. The amazing punch is a Pick A Punch with two options for a scallop/ticket look. The scallops are two sizes. I used the smaller one for each end of the sentiment. ***Happy Labels is one of the stamp sets in the Mini Catalog that are available as either Photopolymer or Cling (Red Rubber). Please make sure you choose the correct one.
Tip
The greenery stamp, as well as the floral, are two step stamps. If you look closely you may see that the bottom right leaves are not stamped properly to overlap. I highly recommend out Stampin’ Blends. You see me use them constantly. So I used the Light Soft Succulent to color in the area that did not stamp inside the outline. And I love it! Please keep that in mind when you have a bit of a miss on aligning your stamps.
Paper
It is very shocking that I did not use Designer Series Paper on this card. That is definitely a rare occasion. I felt the floral scene was pattern enough for a change. So the card base and layer are the “colors” of paper for today. Of course they are used in the floral images. The card base is Soft Succulent with the layer of the Fresh Freesia.
Finishes
I know it seems every card I make uses the Opaque Gems lately. These colored gems come in three sizes and are two sheets of beautiful! On these flowers I spread it between the Gorgeous Grape and Fresh Freesia colors for the flower centers. You may be able to see in the photo that I used two different sizes for the centers.
The final touch on this card is the bright Starry Sky Metallic Ribbon. I love this thin ribbon. It is like working with Bakers Twine in the width, but not nearly as stiff. Actually the ribbon came to be standing on it’s own because I mis cut the paper and did not realize until I was mounting it on the layer!! Oops, but that offered an embellishment moment. And the ribbon on the layer alone seems to be even better I think.
Thank you for visiting today! I hope you have a great day and spend time in your craft space.

Happy Valentines Day to you all! My card is a non traditional Valentine card. But it has a fun and easy technique for a special look.
Paper
The special thing about this card is the Pinwheel. And I believe this particular paper from the Favored Flowers Designer Series Paper in Sale-A-Bration is sold out. Please don’t concern yourself there if you do not have this paper. All you need are two coordinating papers and there are tons of those in either of the Stampin’ Up! Catalogs!
I pulled the two card stock colors from this DSP. They are Fresh Freesia for the card base and background of the pinwheel, and Mossy Meadow for the layer. These are not traditional Valentine colors, but are my preference over red.
Stamps
There really is only one stamp used on the front of the card. That is the sweet “With Love” tag. It is from the Country Bouquet stamp set. Yes, the Country Bouquet Punch is sold out for now, but the stamp set is still available and has many uses without the punch! I love the simple message on the tag.
Extra Touches
Even though the pinwheel is the star of the card, I wanted the rest to be detailed and textured. To accomplish this I used the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder on the Mossy Meadow Layer. Then I wrapped Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon around that layer and tied a bow. The finishing touches are the punched end of the tag. I used the Happy Labels Punch and the smaller of the two scallops and tucked the tag under the pinwheel. Then for the pinwheel’s center, I added one of the Fresh Freesia Opaque Gems . These are great as they come in a variety of sizes.
Making the Pinwheel
The pinwheel has been around for many years and is a simple process. There are a couple of ways to layer the pieces though. What I have done is one of the easiest I think. I started with two squares of Fresh Freesia measuring 2 5/8 X 2 5/8. I used my Stampin’ Up! Grid Paper to help me line everything up. Place the first square down as a square. Next lay the second square over top but in diamond form. You can see where the grid paper helps with getting everything equally aligned! Adhere the centers of these together.
For the DSP part you will need 4 pieces each of 2 different patterned papers. What I used is the front and back of one piece. So I cut 8 and then turned 4 the opposite direction. My main suggestion is to lay them out on the grid paper to decide how you like the papers if one is more a favorite. I liked the floral so wanted it to be top , bottom, and sides.
Having the Fresh Freesia piece makes aligning the DSP squares very simple. You simply allow the same amount of border with each piece you place down. I began at the top floral piece. ***The most important thing is this is the first and last piece! When you adhere this square, only add adhesive on the right of center. Leave the left side free. Now adhere all of the other simply alternating the pattern. When you get to the last one, apply adhesive and slip part of it underneath the first square. That is the reason it was not fully adhered.
Thank you for visiting today and I hope you have a fun day!

Today’s card is for the Make My Monday Challenge. This theme is All Creatures Great and Small. I have two adorable little creatures in my card from the Silly Goose stamp set.
The MMM Design Team have all made adorable animal cards. I hope you will hop over to see them and be inspired by our ideas to make your own version. Click on the image below to be taken to the Challenge page.
Stamps
This fun stamp is from the Silly Goose stamp set. You know how I love the animal stamps and this is no exception. As a bonus, this is one of the 5 or 6 sets that can be purchased in either Photopolymer or Cling (red rubber)! The little frog is the icing on the cake for this image I think. He is just catching a free ride. I wanted this to be a bright and happy card so went with bright colors. The image is stamped using Basic Gray Ink and then colored with a variety of Stampin’ Blends. They are all listed in the Supply List at the bottom of the post.
The sentiment is also included in the stamp set. As is a few other Goose stamps that are equally as fun! To keep with the bright colors, I used Gorgeous Grape Ink to stamp the sentiment. Since I seem to always be a day late anymore on sending out cards, I may be using this stamp quite often! Grounding the sentiment is a double flower from the Petal Park Punch in Melon Mambo. And the center is a Gorgeous Grape dot from Opaque Gems. The sentiment is flagged using the Pick A Punch Banner.
Dies
Did you notice the fun shapes I used on the layers? These are from the Layering Diorama Dies. I have used them a couple of times but tend to forget about the fun and different shapes they have. Since I was simulating water they seemed to be the perfect choice here. There are a few sizes in between the two I used. I wanted more of the Balmy Blue to show, but still leave the pretty DSP as well.
Papers
There are a variety of different textures and colors on this card. I wanted bright, so began with the Melon Mambo card base. That color is carried through with the flower holding the sentiment as well as the inner tube. The layer is from the By The Bay Designer Series Paper. The mix of Balmy Blue and Pool Party perfectly matched the colors I had used to simulate the water. Plus it is a gorgeous print!
The die cut layers are what catches my eye the most. Obviously the focal layer is meant to, but the Balmy Blue layer is amazing! It is from the Textured Shimmer Designer Series paper. The lines are fairly deep and offer a lot of textured depth to the card.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you will come back tomorrow. And don’t forget about Sale-A-Bration.

If you love Designer Series Paper then today’s card is one you will really like. It is a fun layout that stars a piece of DSP. What could be better.
Layout and DSP
I have to first say that I got this quick and adorable card from The Paper Pixie. She shared this awesome layout and I fell in love. I believe you will as well. The beautiful plaid DSP is from the Dandy Designs Designer Series paper. It is the extra thick pack that is a Sale-A-Bration item.
I love purple and this paper was a quick choice in flipping through the options. Although it is more Fresh Freesia than a purple probably. The plaid DSP piece is cut 3 7/8 X 3 7/8 and scored from one corner to the other, like a diamond. That size, which took my non-math brain a minute to understand, has a center that is 5 1/2″ long. So it fits perfectly down the side of the card. A bonus is that you are also seeing that large triangle of DSP on the inside flap of the card. I really love seeing more DSP!!
Stamps
To allow the DSP to shine, I wanted a smaller stamp for the focal layer. This fun desert is in the Share A Milkshake stamp set. As is the sentiment. My color choice may be a bit confusing. First, I took color liberty to help the desert match the DSP. That is definitely allowed. Actually though my favorite ice cream as a child was Grape flavored. And an ice cream shop near my home had Grape. I will say that it drove my Mom crazy! 🙂 But I loved it and that was my first thought on matching the paper.
Finishes
This card is fairly monochromatic in that there are various shades of purple. The plaid DSP, the Fresh Freesia layers and the Gorgeous Grape desert bowl all work together. So to complete this theme I added a few of the Opaque Gems. There are a couple of different sizes and different colors in this assortment. I chose a large in Gorgeous Grape with two smaller sizes of Fresh Freesia.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you will give this fun layout a try.
