Angles Hello

I am sure you looked at the title a couple of times wondering what I was saying.  Even I looked at it and thought it was Angels instead of Angles.  LOL!!  I just purchased the Stitched Triangles dies and was just playing with them to see what I came up with.  This is the card I completed.

Stampin' Up!, Forever Fern, Stitched Triangles, Forever Greenery, Jackie Beers

I mixed several products together for this card.  The background is the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper.  It of course is what determined most of my color choices.

To pair with the DSP, I used the Forever Fern Bundle.  These stamps are so gorgeous that I cannot stop using them.  The images are so crisp and clear.  I stamped and die cut the one piece using Pretty Peacock Ink.  I then just die cut the other pieces from both Pretty Peacock and Pear Pizzaz.  These dies have a bit of definition to them as well.

The triangles are all cut from Whisper White.  As I said, I was just playing around in the beginning.  After laying them down into this final pattern, I decided I liked the contrast of the White.  Especially since it shows on the stamped and die cut greenery.  To me,  the triangles pair well with the pattern in the DSP.

As the finishing touch, I colored the Whisper White Crinkle Seam Binding ribbon with the Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blend.  It colors easily and very quickly.  The ribbon soaks it up fast.  And best of all, it dries almost immediately!  The last touch is one of the 2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots in Pretty Peacock.  I will confess tht I thought they carried over.  Sadly, they did not.  Even more sadly, they were on the Clearance Rack refresh.  But I just checked and they are already gone.  There are quite a lot of great deals there still.

Thank you for stopping by today.  Be sure and read the new Starter Kit Special below.  It is another awesome deal for you to get a taste of Stampin’ Up! a bit closer and get a discount for your Wish List!!!  And before I go….a final note that You Can Add the New Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to your Starter Kit!  So you would be getting it , for under $99.00 !!

Ornate Daisy

I have a pretty and quick card to share today.  You know how much I love Stampin’ Up!’s Designer Series paper.  Today’s card is all about one of those DSP packs.  I chose to highlight the Ornate Garden Designer Series Paper and the Ornate Style stamp set, as well as the Gold Foil which coordinates.

I love the simple, yet elegant, look of this card.  This piece of the DSP is my favorite from the pack.  I paired it with Mint Macaron card stock and a piece of the Gold Foil to coordinate with the foil in the paper.

The daisy is from the Ornate Style stamp set.  That single daisy is simply perfect all alone.  I chose not to add a sentiment on the front of this card.  I believe the simplicity of this card would work well for a number of occasions.  So this way, I just add the sentiment needed to the inside and I’m ready to go.

Here are the measurements for this card:

  • base card is 8 1/2 X 5 1/2, scored and folded in half
  • white layer is 5 1/4 X 4
  • DSP layer is 5 X 3 3/4
  • Foil layer is 2 1/4 X 3 1/4
  • Daisy layer is 2 X 3

I don’t know how you are, but I love having ready to go cards on hand.  I appreciate you stopping in today.  I have all of the supplies used listed at the bottom of the page.

Below is the information on Starter Kit Special for September.  I actually began my time with Stampin’ Up! as simply a Stampin’ Up! Enthusiast.  I joined for the discount to support my wish list!!  I stayed in that position for about ten years, then decided to try to make a business from it.  Either of these choices are fine with me and with Stampin’ Up!.  The choice is all yours to make with no pressure to even continue after purchasing the Starter Kit.  The Kit is actually just the Best Bundle available!  So I would love to talk with you about joining my Team.  In the meantime, read through the add ons for the September Special below.

Halloween Flight

Yesterday’s card was a Thanksgiving or Fall card.  I have stepped back a little for today and am sharing a Halloween cutie.

I think this little witch is adorable!  All of the stamps in the Flight of Fancy stamp set are like this.  There are three different figures with some background stamps to match.

For my background, I tried the new Water Painters from the Annual Catalog.  These are a set of three that replaced our old Aqua Painters.  I used the large brush and some Misty Moonlight Ink Refill on a clear stamping block.  With a touch of water, I used the ink to spread on a piece of Shimmery White card stock.  I love the tiny bit of shimmer you get.  I totally love the different shades of blue and almost purple that I got from the Misty Moonlight.  It just seemed the perfect color to use for an evening of broom flying!

The little witch is colored using Stampin’ Blends, as is her small companion mouse.   Everyone needs a sidekick!  The witch layer is cut using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  These dies are great for layers and sentiments.  I love the different shapes included.

Thank you for stopping in today!  I really appreciate it.

Grateful

Before I get started telling you about today’s project, I want to share a few things that begin today in my Stampin’ Up! World!

First, the Clearance Rack is refreshing today!!!!  If you click on my Shop button in the menu, it will take you to the store.

Second, Stampin’ Up! has an awesome new Starter Kit promotion beginning today.  I have all of the details listed towards the botom of the page.  But I will tell you a bit of it  here.  The Starter Kit is for Stampin’ Up! Enthusiasts who love our products.  That is the first step.  if you decide later on that you want to make a business of it, WooHOO!  But there is NO PUSH  to do more than just be a lover of SU!  This special is the regular $99.00 for $125.00 worth of products of your choice.…..PLUS you get the Queen Anne’s Lace stamp set as well as the So Much Love stamp set.….PLUS enough pre-cut card stock to make 16 cards.  That is a great deal to me.  And I would love to answer any of your questions, as well as have you join my team.

Last but not least:  the new Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine is available to customers beginning today!  I have it and it is AMAZING!  I love everything about it.  (And…it can be added to the Starter Kit!!!).  Also, the magnetic platform becomes available for order today as well.  This new magnetic plate is a solid sheet of magnet, and is self healing!  That is a game changer in both regards.   I cannot wait to get my hands on that!

Okay, now about today’s project.  The title says it all.  I am so Grateful for everything, and card making and the friends I have made are high on the list.   This card is a quick and easy one that to me has the perfect sentiment.

I am following the sketch from Case This Sketch #387.  I love sketch challenges as the base for my cards.  Here is the sketch.

The sentiment layer is from the Celebration Tidings stamp set.  It is a photopolymer set so it is very easy to line the pieces up.  That layer is three separate stamps.  The pieces are colored using Stampin’ Blends.

The background stamps are from the Gather Together stamp set.  It was one of the Returning Favorites sets from last year’s holiday catalog.  I stamped the pair of pumpkins a couple of times and colored with Stampin’ Blends also.  The splatter is out of the same set.

I used Just Jade Stampin’ Blends for most of the leaves.  So it was the perfect addition between the two layers of white for the base of the card.

I have listed all of the products at the bottom of the page.  Just below here is the extra information regarding the Starer Kit promotion.

Additional Products: In addition to the regular starter kit (for $99.00, new recruits choose $125 -worth of products) new recruit will also receive enough cardstock pieces to make 16 cards, a pack of Rhinestone Basic Jewels, the So Much Love stamp set, and the Queen Anne’s Lace stamp set.

Gift Wrapped Lever Card

Last week I shared a lever card I made using the Prized Peony stamp set.  Today I am sharing the same card but with a Christmas Theme.  I have included a PDF and a video.  If you are looking at this on your phone or tablet, you will need to click on the place I have highlighted.  I haven’t quite mastered the video, editing, and all that goes with that part!  So here is the Christmas card.

I love the various bows in the Gift Wrapped Bundle.  It is hard to choose which one to use.  The companion punch is awesome and fits the various bows.  For right now, as I tend to not put inside sentiments until I am ready to send a card, the bow is the only stamping on this card!

The DSP is my favorite of the Christmas paper.  It is the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper.  I am sure you have figured that out since I use it quite often!  Sorry about that.  I have already used one pack of the paper.

The card is very simple to put together.  However there are several layers!  I had made this card for a class and changed it up for my Stamp Club last month.  In doing that, I created a PDF.  So just click on the link below to get the pdf.

As I said, I made a video for this card as well.  It is quite easy to build, but sometimes seeing it is what I need.  And again, if you are on your phone or tablet , or are looking from the email subscription you may not see the video.  But if you go to my blog it will show there.

Here is the Video :

Many Layers Birthday

My card today is with a bundle I have had and been a bit intimidated by.  I received a card using it in the swap I mentioned earlier in the week that I shared my Tinsel In A Tangle card.  The card I received was from fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Jackie Roberts.  So I decided to CASE her card.  Oh My !!

This die is the Many Layers Blossoms and bundles with the Blossoms In Bloom stamp set.  (I only used the dies today.)  I love the look of this card and the layers of the flowers!  But those little pieces got called lots of not nice names!  It was my own fault for not running it through the cutter a couple of times.  I normally do not need to run through more than once.  Especially with the New AWESOME Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine.  But…..I used the adhesive sheet so I would not make a mess with glue on that delicate top piece.  Little tiny pieces of die cut and the adhesive sheets like to hang on to each other!!!!!  Don’t get me wrong, I love and use both of the products regularly!!!  Even with the time it took on those tiny pieces, I am thrilled with the card!!  And I would do it again.

The colors I chose for my monochromatic card are Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, and Purple Posy.  I love the different shades and they are perfect together.  I didn’t want to add a new color into the mix and that caused me some thought for the sentiment.  I ended up going with Purple Posy card stock embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.  It turned out very “Soft”.  I could have used one of the darker card stocks and the embossing would have been a bit darker.

For the finishing touches I added pearls to the center of the larger flowers.  I also added one to the sentiment.  The sentiment is from the Here”s A Card stamp set.  I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut it with.

Thank you for stopping by.  Please let me know your thoughts on the card and the dies.  I hope you will come back on Monday for another new project!
