Welcome to InKing Royalty’s March Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are having fun with our stamping favorites – our favorite themes for seasonal cards and projects. This month’s projects feature Flowers & Fauna, a brilliant starting point for so many projects. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Happy Hop Day, and Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I have a 2 for 1 deal for you today. I couldn’t Not make a St. Patrick’s Day card, and I wanted to follow the Hop theme with a pretty Easter card. Even though both cards follow the title, you get two cards! And I apologize in advance for a longer than normal post.
First is my Hop card. I made an Easter wreath like I would place on my door.
I have been using quite a lot of the Highland Heather of late. But when I think of Easter, it is my go to. My Mom loved purple and would always dress me in purple when I was young. All of my Easter dresses were purple!! So you understand my color scheme.
All of the wreath items are from the Arrange A Wreath Bundle. I stamped the base of the wreath, then added a die cut wreath on top for texture. The eggs and flowers are also from the bundle. As is the sentiment!
I decided to use the Stitched Rectangle Dies to add a bit to the layers. And to tie in the sentiment, I used one of the smaller dies. I had to adjust the size, which is fairly easy with the stitched rectangles. There are several videos out there showing how to do it. Basically you just place the paper back into the die at the desired length and match up the already made stitches and the die. Easy Peasy!
For the finishing touches, I added a Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon bow to the wreath. I also added some of the Resin Hearts to the centers of the flowers and one on the sentiment banner.
Here is my St. Patrick’s Day card. I used the Jar of Flowers Bundle for the jar. I die cut the shamrocks by cutting flowers from the Pierced Blooms Dies and cutting off some of the petals. The white flowers are from the Pierced Blooms also. The background is the gorgeous Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper.
The finishing touch is the tag and bow. The tag is from the Hydrangea Dies. I have used it quite a few times. It is the perfect size! I added the White Baker’s Twine from the Snail Mail Trim Combo. It is wrapped around the jar and then an added bow.
I have the supply list for both cards at the bottom of the post! Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Renae Novak at Blessed By Cards. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!
Thank you for hopping along with us. If you get stuck during the Blog Hop, please use this line-up as a guide:
Today’s card is a quick and easy one that is supposed to make you Smile. I kept it pretty simple with some easy stamping. I hope you enjoy it.
I used the Pretty Perennials Bundle for this card. I love the “Fun” look of the flowers as well as the Happy and the coordinating sentiments. I used the matching dies for the one bottom left flower. It is stamped and die cut then raised using a Stampin’ Dimensional. However, you could quickly use your paper snips to accomplish cutting that one flower if needed.
The colors are some of my favorites. The card base is Highland Heather, the layer is Misty Moonlight, and the layer behind the white is Purple Posy. The flowers are Seaside Spray for the solid flower with the outline done in Highland Heather. The sentiments are stamped using Misty Moonlight. And the finishing touch is the In Color Enamel Dot of Misty Moonlight in the center of the raised flower.
Measurements:
card base of Highland Heather is 4 1/4 X 11, scored and folded at 5 1/2
layer is Misty Moonlight cut to 3 3/4 X 5
layer of Purple Posy cut to 3 X 4 1/4
White layer is 2 7/8 X 4 1/8
This was a quick and fun card to make. It could be done in your, or the recipient’s, favorite colors. Thank you for stopping by today. Please come back tomorrow for the InKing Royalty March Blog Hop.

My card for you today is from the Annual Catalog and a stamp set that I do not believe I have used before. I know I have used the matching punch and Love it. I hope you like the card as well. It is a CASE from fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Patti Carbonell. I received her card in a swap last year and have held on to it because of how much I loved the look. Mine is a little simpler version.
You cannot see the background very well in the photo. But I stamped the bottom row of greenery and flowers , the “Always”, and the dragonfly first. I then used the Tasteful Texture Embossing Folder and embossed the white layer. In person, it gives a touch of texture to the look of the card.
The flowers at the bottom are punched using the matching Confetti Flower Boarder Punch. The flowers are punched from Magenta Madness cardstock to match the card layer, as well as the sentiment layer. I also added just a few Pearls to the punched flowers and left the stamped flowers plain. The punched flowers are added by using a Glue Dot. That is my Go To for adding small items.
The sentiment is one of several that go with the “Always”. I decided to layer it with more of the Magenta Madness cardstock. I cut both layers and then used the Banners Pick A Punch to make the flag ends.
Thank you for stopping by today. I very much appreciate your visiting my blog and your comments. I have commented before that I answer all of the comments with an email. So please do not think that I ignore the comments on a post. They are awesome!

The days are getting warmer and longer, and I LOVE it!!! Today I have a card that shows my enthusiasm for the warmer Spring weather.
One of the old time sayings has something about “coming in like a lamb”. I cannot remember if it is Spring though. When I saw this stamp set, Springtime Joy, I immediately thought of Spring and Easter. Regardless, I think this little lamb is adorable! I kept the lamb image very simple. I stamped using Smoky Slate Ink on Basic White cardstock. I colored the flower headband with Petal Pink and Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends.
The paper is from the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper. I love the softness and the flecks of color in the larger piece. I layered the DSP onto a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock. The base of the card is Thick Basic White. The ribbon wrapped around the card is Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon from the Annual Catalog. Sometimes I get carried away with the newer catalogs and don’t use the other items.
To join all of the colors together I cut two banner pieces and cut one end of each using the Banner Pick A Punch. To finish, I decided not to layer the lamb circle. I simply added a few Stampin’ Dimensionals and let it overlap the banners a bit. I did add some Basic Pearls to the flowers on the lamb. I know it is a norm to only use an odd number of embellishments, but there were four flowers, so I added four pearls.
Thank you for stopping in today. I have the measurements just below. Please stop by on Monday for another new project.
Measurements:
Card base of Thick Basic White is cut 4 1/4 X 11, scored at 5 1/2
Smoky Slate cardstock cut to 4 X 5 1/4
Peony Garden DSP cut to 1 X 5 1/8 and 2 7/8 X 5 1/8
Smoky Slate banner cut to 1 X 3 3/4, before punched banner
Basic White stamped banner cut to 1/2 X 3 1/2, before punched banner

I love purple and I know quite a few of my friends do as well. I wanted a purple birthday card without overdoing the single color. Of course I turned to some of the Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper to get the perfect piece. The colors and prints of that pack of paper is simply gorgeous.
I hope you can see the tone on tone flowers in the DSP of the labels. I love the softness of those colors. I chose the Stitched Nested Labels Dies to cut the two focal layers. I paired these with the Highland Heather cardstock for the base. The Basic White is embossed with the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder.
The sentiment is from the Birthday Chick Dies. I love the fun and bold Happy Birthday. Since I have been dreaming of summer with these warmer days, I went with a fruity drink for the other panel. It is from the Nothing’s Better Than stamp set. I stamped off the HIghland Heather Ink for the umbrella and the liquid of the drink. The bit of shimmer in the drink is from a touch of Wink Of Stella. Just to add a bit more detail, I punched the drink using the Rectangle Postage Stamp Punch.
The finishing touch is the addition of just a couple of the Pastel Pearls. They are a bit lighter than the cardstock so fit perfectly with the tone on tone of the DSP.
Thank you for stopping in today. Please come back by tomorrow for another new project.

Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team’s theme is “Cute Critters” – showcasing their card/project with adorable animals, birds, or insects for any occasion. We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments! We love hearing from you. At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
You simply cannot go wrong with Cute Critters. The problem I had was which one to choose. A friend recently adopted a puppy and I saw him for the first time last week. That became my inspiration, and I added a touch of whimsy for good measure.
When I saw the Hot Dog stamp set, I knew it would be perfect. My idea came from the sitting dog and the little envelope. I realized I could stack the dogs to reach a mailbox. This is a great example of how the photopolymer stamps can be very flexible. Because I could see through the stamp, It was easy to have one climbing on the back of the other.
The background paper is from the Artistry Blooms Designer Series paper. The various shades of green matched my “out in the yard” theme. I added the mailbox by simply using a strip of Cinnamon Cider cardstock 1/4″ wide. The mailbox is a square of Basic Black cardstock. I cut off a tiny bit from the end and “hinged” it with a glue dot on the back side. To finish off the yard part, I added a couple of pieces of grass from the Dandy Wishes Die set.
The dogs are stamped and colored with Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Blends. I stamped the little envelope prior to die cutting the dog piece using the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I then stamped and colored a second envelope and cut it out. It is raised with a Mini Dimensional so it appears to go above the mailbox lid.
The sentiment is from the Hot Dog stamp set also. I stamped and die cut it using a different Stitched Rectangle Die. I backed the sentiment with Poppy Parade cardstock to help the Resin Hearts pop a little. The finishing touch is a Resin Heart on the mailbox to act as a Flag.
I hope you like my whimsical pups. Thank you very much for stopping by today.
More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for our next blog hop on April 14th when our theme is “Great Family Occasions” when our Design Team creates a project for any special occasion. Don’t miss the fun!
