I love Peonies! We lived with my Grandfather when I was young and there were peonies in the garden from my Grandmother and her awesome green thumb. My Mom loved those special flowers as well. And I grew to love them and their large beautiful flowers.
This time of year, when the peony should be blooming, always warms my heart. And as my peony bush has been getting buds I knew I wanted to make another card using this gorgeous stamp set.
The stamp is very detailed so does not require a lot of assistance from me to become beautiful. I stamped it using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored it with the Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends. My peony, and the ones from home, were all white with the touch of pink. I tried to give this one that look by leaving the lighter color for the majority of the flower.
The leaves are colored using the Just Jade Stampin’ Blends. I love this color more every time I use it. The ribbon is from the Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo. Even though the Terracotta Tile and Old Olive are not the colors of my card, they pair well and appear to me to be just darker versions of the same colors.
I die cut the peony using the matching Peony Dies. Something that I rarely do is use the “edging” dies in any of my die sets. For some unknown reason I decided that this card needed that edge. I was so happy with the finished look. Since the peony is on a plain background, the edging seems to be a perfect addition.

Today’s card is a mix of Old and New products. The cardstock and ink have just arrived in the Upcoming Annual Catalog. The stamp set and elements are retiring and/ or carrying over. I love coordinating our different products for a quick and easy project.
Paper Hugs Close The Distance
One of the best things to me is a Hug! However, due to the virus, and usually a distance between friends, a Paper Hug is the next best thing! This sentiment is from the Comfort & Hope stamp set. Sadly it is retiring now. But I think this little sentiment will have to stay here with me. It is so appropriate just to let someone know you are thinking of them.
New Meets Old Products
I chose the new Soft Succulent card stock for the base of my card. Actually I did not do an additional layer. I stamped directly on the base. All of the stamps are from the Comfort & Hope stamp set. The background design stamps are stamped using Soft Succulent Ink and Evening Evergreen Ink. The lighter stamping down the center is the Soft Succulent.
The Hydrangea Mercury Glass was a bold choice to go with the soft of the succulent color. I wanted it to stand out with the sentiment. I think I succeeded!!! The mercury glass is cut using the die from the Painted Labels Dies. I stamped the sentiment in Evening Evergreen on Purple Posy cardstock.
For finishing touches, I added the bow from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo. The check ribbon is a great match to these two green color. To coordinate with the Mercury Glass, I added three of the Pastel Pearls for a bit more of the purple.

I have a Waterfall Card to share today. To be honest, I had not made one of these in many years. But I had a request for a class I was doing for a group of ladies. They all loved it. I hope you will as well.
Waterfall Cards are so much fun to play with. However, there are several steps to getting them to work properly. The first thing you need is stamps that all work together. My preference has always been animal stamp sets. Having the same type animal in different positions and expressions is perfect. With that in mind, I chose the Way To Goat stamp set. These goats are so adorable to play with and are wonderfully drawn by the Stampin’ Up! Artists.
Stamps and Paper
I chose the Way To Goat because of the adorable little goats. I chose the DSP because of this pin stripe piece from the Well Suited Designer Series Paper. Goats are not at all sophisticated, but the color worked perfectly with the gray outline and white cardstock. But the more I looked at the card, the more I thought it was a perfect match!
The yellow was for a touch of contrast with all of the gray. And it matches the flower the first goat you see is ready to eat. The tip of the pull end was punched using the Delightful Tag Topper Punch .

Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team’s theme is “Great Family Occasions.” We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments! We love hearing from you. At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
I have a bit of a difficult time with Family Occasions. And in looking through the stamp sets, one has touched my heart a couple of times. So I went with my heart and made a Grandparents or Grandfather card. A bit unusual but probably a much lesser made card than most family ones. I have some “Friends That Are Family” with new Grandbabies and that may have influenced me a bit.
I chose the Treasures of Life stamp set. It is so well drawn! The set features men and women with children and a baby. It would not have to be a Grand Child.
The layout I chose to do is a bit different. I envisioned the stamped scene being viewed through a heart shape. However, I could not make that work. In looking through my different dies, I found the Suit & Tie Dies and this “V”. It is supposed to be a shirt front “V”. Regardless of the intention, it fit my idea perfectly.
The images are stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored them using a variety of Stampin’ Blends. They are all listed at the bottom of the page under Supply List. One of my favorite things to do when there is an image and no background is to add color around the entire image. I always use the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend and simply scribble around the images. It just outlines, or gives them a grounding shadow.
The colors are all pulled from the DSP. It is the Well Suited Designer Series Paper. Maybe the flowers are not exactly a match for the winter dress of the images. I take creative license there ! LOL!!
The sentiment is from the stamp set and a lovely one to use. I die cut it using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. The enamel dots are from the 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots in Misty Moonlight. That is a simple touch and just enough I think.
Measurements:
Base card is Night of Navy cut 4 1/4 X 11, scored and folded at 5 1/2
The layer is Seaside Spray cut 4 X 5 1/4
The White layer is cut 3 3/4 X 5
The DSP layer is cut 3 3/4 X 5 and then Die Cut using the Suit & Tie Dies “V” shape.

It is pretty obvious to those of you who follow my posts that I LOVE Coloring. Especially using the Stampin’ Blends. So today’s card is all about the coloring! Oh Boy!!
I am so going to miss the beautiful True Love Designer Series Paper. The black and white pieces are timeless by themselves. I chose to use two different sheets in the True Love package. A big Thank You to whoever decided to try coloring on the DSP years ago!! Because when you add color to these sheets they are just elevated into Art.
My Color Choices
I opted to go a bit out of the norm for the main flower color and chose Poppy Parade. I used both the Dark and Light Stampin’ Blends. To compliment these , and add a touch of lighter color, I added the Dark of the Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends. For the leaves I used both of the Just Jade Blends. The “sky” behind the flowers is colored using the Seaside Spray Stampin’ Blend. I am so very sad to see this color retire. It is my favorite Blue in the Stampin’ Up! color family 🙁
Finishing Touches
For the finished card, I added some twine from the Playful Pets Combo. The black and white pairs perfectly with the black and white layer of the DSP. I still felt it needed something. So I added a little “Hello” from the Snailed It stamp set. The tag if part of the Hydrangea Haven Dies. I love that Stampin’ Up! seems to always have a little tag available in a set or two. They are great finishing touches.

The card I have for today is a new favorite Fun Fold. I have to apologize up front because I cannot remember or find the card which inspired this one to give credit. I would have sworn I wrote down the name! That said, I hope you love this cutie as much as I do.
I made this card originally for a class I held. The card uses Hydrangea Hill Designer Series Paper and Misty Moonlight Cardstock for the main colors. They are followed by Highland Heather large flower and Purple Posy small flowers.
The In Bloom Bundle is a Must Have for flowers! I love that you do not need to stamp them to get wonderfully textured flowers. All of the flowers are from the dies. The pocket is from the Well Suited Suite and the Suit and Tie Dies. It has stitching around it that matches the flower stitching.
The sentiment, which is Amazing 🙂 is from the In Bloom stamp set as well. Here is a view of the inside so you see the Fun Fold part. I almost forgot to show it.
The Fun Fold section is 4 1/4 X 6, scored and folded at 3. That is all that opens on the card. But there is plenty of room for a sentiment and signature. The card base is 5 1/2 X 4, with Misty Moonlight cut 5 1/4 X 4, then another White cut 5 1/8 X 3 7/8. The DSP strip is cut 2 X 3 7/8.
