Something For You

I am sharing something a bit different today.  I am showing you the June Paper Pumpkin Kit, or at least part of it.  In case you do not subscribe to Paper Pumpkin, it is a box of wonderful products that arrives in your mailbox once a month.  We do not know ahead of time what is in the box.  Generally it is cards with all of the embellishments, glue dots, ink, and a stamp set.  The June PP was one I really LOVE!!!  It included mini cards to keep in a little folder in your purse.  I love having the 3 X 3 cards in my purse to hand out to folks that I appreciate when I am running errands.  This little pocket will be wonderful to hold those.

The little blue folder is the holder and these are two of the cards in the kit that I put together.  I never make them exactly as the pictures show!

I also made one of my 3 X 3 cards to go in the pouch as well.  Here it is.

I made several of this little card for my purse stash.  I used the wonderful new Host Rewards Stamp Set named Time For Tags.  The stamps match the Timeless Label Punch that is also new.

For this card I used Whisper White as the card base and layered the new 2019-2021 In Color 6 X 6 Designer Paper stack.  I stamped the image with Terracotta Tile Ink and then colored it with Stampin’ Blend Markers.  To give a little bit of different color behind the tag, I added a Mossy Meadow punch with the Story Label Punch.  It partners very well with the Timeless Label Punch.

I hope you will consider making the 3 X 3 cards to have on hand “Just Because”.  It is a nice way to hopefully brighten someone’s day.  They also are perfect as Gift Tags.  And it is easy to match your gift decoration.

Healing Hugs

I am trying to go back and use stamp sets that have carried over to the new annual catalog and show them some love.  Sometimes we get so excited with the New that we forget the really awesome sets.  Today I am showcasing Healing Hugs.  It is a beautiful flower with some sweet sentiments.

I love these bold colors.  I paired Mango Melody with Mossy Meadow.  The Layered Leaves Embossing folder really shows off on the darker card stock.

I stamped three of the flowers in Mango Melody.  Two are on the white layer and one was on a scrap piece.  I fussy cut the third one and them layered it with dimensional to give some definition to the flowers.  I know it is a bit difficult to see in the photo.

The sentiment is from another carryover stamp set, Stitched All Around.  The lovely Mossy Meadow linen thread is part of a combo ribbon  pack.  It is named Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo and is part of the Magnolia Suite of products.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I would love to hear from you.  There are some specials listed further down in the post, as are the complete list of supplies.

Over The Moon

This is my second post for today.  The first one was about the great specials that Stampin’ Up! has to offer.  You can see that post HERE.

Today’s card is a cutie that I envisioned as soon as I saw this stamp set!  And it fits with all the great updates I mentioned in the earlier post.  I am OVER THE MOON for Stampin’ Up!.

With the color pallet I used, this could very easily be a baby card.  That was not my intention, but all you would need is a sweet “welcome” on the inside and you are finished.

I stamped everything in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with my favorite things, the Stampin’ Blends.  I colored the Moon with Dark Daffodil Delight and then added the little ring around it with the new Light So Saffron.

I am not a cow expert, but think the black and white ones are usually more black than white.  I took creative license and made it white, with a touch of black.  I wanted you to see all the details in the stamp. I gave her a bit of a feminine touch by adding Light Flirty Flamingo to the ears, nose, and mouth.

When I was trying to decide what else was needed, I thought of the moon and had a lightbulb moment that it needed stars.  The perfect stars came from the Twinkle Builder Punch.  It even has a moon that you could punch and use in place of the stamped one.  I thought the stars were the perfect size.

Thank you for stopping in today.  I was absent yesterday due to storm damage.  Luckily it was not to the house.  Sunday we had a lightning strike into the ground about ten feet from the corner of the house.  It fried the air conditioner unit, cable, internet, and an electrical breaker.  Thankfully we have friends who do those things and along with the cable company got up and running by the end of the day on Monday.  For once I was ahead and already had scheduled Monday’s post.

Friendship

Sometimes my visions of what a card will look like and the outcome do not exactly match.  This is one of those cards.  However, I am ok with the result enough to share it with you.

My original idea was a fence with a sign on the gate.  I ended up with a gate.  So I am going to say that it has swung open and that is why no fence is next to it.  🙂

I started with the Follow Your Art Designer Series Paper.  This is one of the reverse sides , as I call them. The gate is embossed with the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder after being stamped with the Crackle Paint background stamp first.  I used the Classic Label Punch to make the hinges.   I cut it into two pieces and added Metallic Pearls.  The door knob is the punched out hole of the Delightful Tag Topper Punch.

For the sign I used the Rectangle Stitched Frames.  I shortened the frame that was wide enough for my sign by cutting it out.  I then went back and attached the die back to the cut out piece at the length I needed.  There are several videos out on how to do this.  It is quite easy once you wrap your head around it.

The butterflies were just happy add ons from the same stamp set.  I used the Old Olive, Coastal Cabana, and Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Write Markers to color the butterflies.   I forgot to say this is the Beauty Abounds stamp set and the Butterfly Beauty Dies.

Thank you so much for visiting today.  Tomorrow is the InKing Royalty Blog Hop!!  I hope you will return to see all of the great projects.

Free As A Bird Pals June Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pals’ June  Blog Hop. We’re so glad you’re here because we made some great projects using “Anything with Wings”. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I am sharing birds for my “anything with wings” challenge.  This is actually my second card.  I switched from butterflies to birds.

Stampin' Up!, Free As A Bird, Stitched Nested Labels, Subtle Embossing, Bird Ballad, Jackie Beers

This is the negative of the Stitched Nested Labels that I shared on Monday’s card.  I love getting two cards from one piece.  I embossed the So Saffron with the Subtle Embossing Folder prior to cutting with the Stitched Nested Labels.  (They are bundled with the Free As A Bird stamp set!)  The gorgeous DSP is the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper.

The birds are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with a variety of Stampin’ Blends.  I decided to fussy cut the birds to give more dimension to the card.  The trick is to turn the paper and not your scissors!  I also stamped and cut out the small flower from the stamp set to anchor the banner at the top.

COLOR COMBINATION:

Thank you for visiting today!  I hope you enjoyed my card and the projects of the other Blogs in the Hop.

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Don’t forget to show us some love by commenting on our creations. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, July 10, 2019 when our Hoppin’ Pals share their “Mixing It Up” projects. Don’t miss the fun!

Botanical Bliss

I have trying some new products for today, but am mixing them with carry overs.  The main new product is the Magnolia Lane Cards and Envelopes.  They are in a great Craft or Crumb Cake card stock with some silver embossing.  I love that look of elegant mixed with a more grounded color.

I paired the Botanical Bliss stamp set and dies for a different look to this base.  I stamped inside the framed area with Crumb Cake Ink, using the flower from First Frost, to add a bit of background.  I die cut the tag and then watercolored it.

I used Shimmery White Card Stock as I think it is perfect for watercoloring.  I was a bit different on my watercolor.  I scribbled with markers on a clear block and then used the Aqua Painter to pick up the ink.  It gives a softer look I believe.  However, since you cannot purchase individual markers, it would work perfectly fine to get ink in the lid of your ink pad and pick it up that way.

The Crumb Cake tag is the new Timeless Label Punch.  I shortened it to fit on the tag without hanging over the sides.  The Metallic Pearls were an add on that I believe worked well.  The red ribbon is a retired one that I found a piece in the bottom of my ribbon drawer as I was pulling out retired ones.  Couldn’t let that go!!

I also used markers and stamped the flower image onto the front of the matching envelope.  I try to remember to add that little touch.

Thank you for stopping in today.  I hope you will reconsider, or look at for the first time, these cards and envelopes.  It is a great deal.
