Truly Artistic

Today’s card is made partly with the first stamp set I fell in love with when it was debuted at OnStage.  Brian King presented it and showed such beautiful cards that I knew it would be coming to me as soon as I could order it.  Since we are all about crafting, who could not love this set.  And for today’s card I went a little more neutral with it to show it’s versatility.  Of course the sentiment, even though from another stamp set, fits perfectly with the theme.

Crafting Forever, Truly Artistic

What do you think of the more neutral look?  The Fresh Florals DSP is almost as much a star as the Crafting Forever and Just Add Text stamp sets.  I do believe these two stamp sets compliment each other.

I only used Tranquil Tide and Very Vanilla on this card, With the exception of Memento Black ink for the pens and then I colored them with the Bermuda Bay Watercolor Pencils.  I think it blends well enough with the Tranquil Tide.  Those pencils and the colors provided in them tend to work with most of our colors.

Thank you for visiting today!  I truly appreciate your comments.  And if there are any questions, or you need assistance with a purchase, please let me know.

The products I used are listed below:

An Eastern Note

When I first saw this suite I was not sure that I would use it.  Then as I saw the cards and ideas that were being created  with it, I thought “This may be ok”.  And when I played with it…. I was hooked!!  Oh My!  The entire suite is just the best.  Today’s card is another of my play dates with this stamp set and the new InColors.

Eastern Beauty Bundle, 145308

I would apologize for continually using Lemon Lime Twist…..But I cannot….. It is my current addiction.  I just love how it seems to coordinate with everything.

I did use the New (actually an old item returning) Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets!  If you use the framelits, and especially the word framelits, this is a must have.  You adhere the sheet to your card stock and then use the framlit  to cut out your design or words.  NOTE: Remember to put the adhesive side on the bottom.  You don’t want your words to be upside down!  I used the adhesive sheets on all three pieces of my design. After die cutting just remove the paper and it is covered in sticky goodness.  No more glue everywhere for me.

As you can see there is very little stamping on this card.  The base of the card is Thick Whisper White card stock. I used four of the new InColors and then just stamped that cute saying underneath.  The center of the design is one of the Glitter Enamel Dots.

I hope you will give this wonderful Eastern Beauty Suite a chance.  It is definitely a keeper!!

Just Breathe

Just Breathe!  Isn’t that an awesome statement?  With everyone’s busy schedule it would be nice to just sit and relax.  I hope that is what this card reflects.

Colorful Seasons Bundle, 145348

I know that I just shared a relaxing chair on the beach last week.  But after playing with this technique, I could not wait to share it.  Brian King shared this method with our team at a downline meeting a few months ago.  It is actually very simple , and somewhat addicting!!  You use baby wipes and the ink pad.  That is it!!  Just use the baby wipe like you would a sponge and touch it to the card.  This background is one of about five I played with.  Some were just eclectic backgrounds and a few were like this one with me attempting a landscape.  Please give it a try\

For my background I used Old Olive for the grass, Soft Sky for the sky, and Peekaboo Peach for the sun.  The adirondack chair and the little drink on the arm of the chair are from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies. The Just Breathe is from Colorful Seasons stamp set.  They both are included in the Colorful Seasons Bundle with a 10% savings!

This bundle is a must have.  It covers all the seasons and is so fun to play with.  The fonts used for the sentiments are just wonderful and the dies are so easy to use.  It was at the top of my bundle wish list for this new catalog.

Thank you so much for stopping at my blog. I very much appreciate it.

The products I used are listed below:  Minus the baby wipes 🙂

I Like You #GDP090

Today’s card is a super easy card and my first Global Design Project Challenge !!  I am excited and nervous.  My wonderful upline Brian King challenged us to join in.  The first picture is the design layout we are supposed to CASE.

You are allowed quite a bit of flexibility in your interpretation of the challenge design.  But it being my first time, I didn’t go too far away from the drawing.  Here is my card:

Oh So Eclectic , 143940

I am in love with the new InColors from Stampin’ Up!  The two I used in this card are Tranquil Tide and Berry Burst.  I think they are so rich and bright.  The DSP is the Fresh Florals Designer Series Paper Stack.  It is 4 each of 2 double-sided designs of all 5 of the new In Colors.  WOW!  They are gorgeous!

The stamp set is Oh So Eclectic and I just used the two step single flower.  The flower is Berry Burst and I colored in the stem with a Pear Pizzaz marker.  I then fussy cut the flower and glued it to a 2″ Circle punched from Tranquil Tide card stock. The greeting is from Oh So Eclectic as well and is stamped in Berry Burst.  It is punched with the Classic Label Punch.  I added a new Glitter Enamel Dot for some sparkle.

You can tell that I did not follow exactly the diagram. Instead of a ribbon and bow I just used a strip of Whisper White card stock to run down the side and behind the focal point.  And that is my simple card.

Thank you for visiting today!  You can go to the Global Design Project page and check out all of the cards that are linked there.

The supplies I used are listed below.

Beautiful Birthday

The stamp set I used today is one of my favorites fro the new catalog. And I did not begin to show the versatility of this wonderful all season set.  It is Colorful Seasons.  I know you are going to love this set as well!!

Colorful Seasons, 143726

I used the chair from the Colorful Seasons set.  It was my card inspiration.  I then sponged the sand, ocean, and sky.  And I used the Sand and Ocean from the High Tide set. The sun and sea gulls also came from the High Tide set as well. The “Life is a beautiful thing” is a favorite of mine and is part of the Colorful Seasons set.

And that, as they say, is that!!  How quick and easy this card was to pull together.  Since both of these sets are Must Haves, to me anyway, you can easily make your own beach scene!

Thank you for stopping by today!  If you do not have a brand NEW catalog, I would be thrilled to get one to you.  I believe this is one of the best catalogs in quite a while. And there is a HOST SPECIAL for the month of June.  With a 350.00 order, or party, the Host receives an additional 35.00 of FREE products.  WOOHOO!!

The products I used are listed below.  You can click on any item and go directly to my online store.

You’re In My Thoughts

The title of today’s post comes from the card I have made, but it could be thought of as remembering the outgoing catalog and looking forward to the new!  I know both of those are in my thoughts!!  Here is today’s card.

Rose Wonder, 140697

I love how this card turned out.  I have to say it is a CASE from my Up, Upline Pam Morris.  She swapped this card at On Stage and I loved the simplicity and awesome layout.  Thank You Pam !!

All of the products, except the Rose Wonder stamp set, are on the retiring list.  So Sad  🙁   I also want to say that I am sending this card to a fellow demonstrator who is going through a really hard situation right now.  Please say a prayer for her.

There is not really anything to describe on this sweet card except to say I love everything about it.  I really hate to see these Very Vanilla doilies, the ruched ribbon, and this beautiful Falling In Love DSP go away.  I highly recommend this DSP if it is still available on the retiring list.

You can click on any of the products below to go to my online store and order up these beauties!

Thank you very much for stopping by today!  I love to hear from you and would be honored to help you in your stamping endeavor!
