A Double Z fold card comes in such a variety of looks. And I love that! I have one today sharing the Double Z fold together with the Easter Friends stamp set. The You’re A Peach DSP has some softly colored papers that mix wonderfully!
This is a card I made over a week ago for a class. As I was typing this, I realized that several of the different products are the same as what yesterday’s card used! And the two cards are nothing alike.
Fun Fold
This Double Z fun fold is a really simple one. As I mentioned at the beginning, there are quite a lot of variations of the fold and some look nothing like this one. To begin, the base card is cut 4 1/4 X 8 1/2 and scored at 1 1/2 and 3 on the 8 1/2 side. And the second Z is cut 2 X 8 1/2 and scored the same measurements and again on the 8 1/2 side.
For the inside layer, it is stamped before adding and measures 5 1/4 X 4. Place the two Z folded pieces together before adding the DSP. Align the card base with the Z folds on the right hand side. The strip Z fold will have the Z on the left hand side. It is easiest to adhere the pieces with the Z sections folded instead of flat. After the band is attached, layer the 1 1/4 X 4 piece of DSP. That piece will cover the connection of the two pieces. For the band, the DSP is cut 3 7/8 X 1 3/4 and the small 1 1/4 X 1 3/4.
Stamp Set
This sweet Easter Friends is a wonderful set to have on hand for several occasions. The chicks are adorable and so happy. They are stamped with Mango Melody and then colored with Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. Little chicks need some grass to play in. So the grass image was randomly stamped several times. To tie in with the blue of the DSP, the Happy Easter is stamped using Misty Moonlight Ink.
Papers
Knowing this was an Easter card with the baby chicks, I looked for paper that seemed to match that theme. It was found in the You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper. The Pear Pizzaz card base was pulled not only for the green grass but to match the stems of the blue flowers. And the polka dot blue is just a happy piece that coincidentally matched the flower piece. To pull the chicks’ color into the card in another place, I used that as the backing of the My Friend sentiment.
Another of the products that are also in yesterday’s card is the bling. Waves Rhinestone Jewels are becoming a quick “go to” because of the different colors. The green rhinestone was the choice once again on that layered sentiment. For the same reason as yesterday, that green perfectly matches the green in the card. Thankfully that green shade seems to pick up the color of what it is near. I love that.

A child’s Birthday card is not one of the normal cards I make. But my sweet little cousin turned 2 this week so I had to make him a card. The card was a mix of Catch You Later and Party Puffins. Such Fun!
Stamps
As I said, this card is a mix of products. The monkeys are from the Catch You Later stamp set in the Mini Catalog. Hanging from a tree is perfect and adorable. They are stamped with Early Espresso and colored using Stampin’ Blends. For the banner sentiment I used the Banner Pick A Punch with the sentiment from Party Puffins. And the number 2 is from a long retired die set. But you always need something like that, especially for children and anniversaries.
Paper
A perfect addition for the monkeys I thought was the wood grain DSP. It is a piece from the Beauty of The Earth Designer Series paper. And the Pear Pizzaz matches the leaves on the tree limb. But the blue was just a color I felt looked right. I chose Pacific Point for a brighter blue and I believe it works with the other colors. Having the number in Pacific Point helps it to stand out a bit. My idea was for it to be hanging from the monkey’s tail, so squint your eyes if you do not quite see it like that ! LOL!!!
Inside View
The inside of the card needed some fun as well. Here is a view of that.

Before I get into today’s project I want you to know about 3 promotions that are currently going on! I have pictures of each at the bottom of the post where you can click and go to a pdf of all of the details. The best one is the first one! It is 20% off of the Mini Cut & Emboss Machine, plus 20% off the bundles that work with the Mini. An awesome way to stock up on great products.
Today’s card is another project using the Picture This Dies. It is paired with the Way To Goat stamp set. Who wouldn’t love these goofy goats!!
Stamps
The Way To Goat stamp set is such a fun set and one I had not used in a while. It fits wonderfully within the circles of the Picture This Dies. For coloring I wanted to leave the goats mostly white, but they needed some color. So they all got some funny Smoky Slate hair styles. The top two goats look so happy and the bottom one looks like he is up to something! They are such a fun set!
Dies
As I said in the beginning, this is another project with the Picture This Dies using the circle one. There is also a rectangle die that I have a project to share with you later in the week. Surprisingly there are quite a few stamp sets that will fit in the circles or the rectangles.
Paper and embellishments
For a switch I did not use any designer series paper on this project. That is a shocker !! But, I did choose colors from the SAB Sunshine & Rainbows. I wanted it to be bright since the goats were fairly plain in color. Magenta Madness paired with Pear Pizzaz is a good one I believe. And the heart from the Best Deliver stamp set fit perfectly with my idea. To finish off the card the gray dots in the Classic Matte Dots worked great. It just needed a little bit of soft bling!
Below are all of the current promotions. Please look through them and let me know if you have any questions. If you do not have a demonstrator, I would love to assist you. And if you place an order, please use my Host Code that is along the side bar and at the bottom of the page, depending on the device you are using. Thank You!!

Today I have a Masculine card that is really quick . It pairs Wildlife Wonder with the New Horizons DSP. The paper is really the star of the show!
Paper and Ribbon
As I said at the beginning, this New Horizons Designer Series Paper is obviously the star of the show here. The colors and the look of a mist or fog in the air is amazing. It makes me think I could be there. Except I would be long gone since the bear is front and center!!
Pulling the colors from the DSP was an easy choice for the card layers. Evening Evergreen and Smoky Slate are the card base and layer. And I used the Evening Evergreen for the back layer of the sentiment. Paired with the sentiment are two strips of ribbon. One is Soft Succulent and the other Evening Evergreen. They are simply to ground the sentiment. I also added one of the gray Classic Matte Dots for the sentiment.
Stamps and Dies
Since the DSP is so amazing, I did not want to cover much of it up. From the Wildlife Wonder stamp set I chose to use the bear, along with the great sentiment. Since masculine cards can be a bit of challenge sometimes, this is a quick and easy one. For the bear, I stamped him on the DSP and then again on scrap paper. I purposely had only the front half on the paper. He is too large and would have covered too much space.
After fussy cutting the extra bear, I layered it directly on top of the DSP bear. This gives the little extra hairs showing that are difficult to cut around. Once I had adhered the bear layer, I took my Paper Snips and trimmed off the extra of his body flush with the DSP. The sentiment is stamped and cut using the Layering Circles Dies. A quick and simple sentiment layer to finish the card.

I have another fun whimsical, animal card today. You know how much I love the funny stamp sets. And today’s is another good one! The bonus is that it is a Fun Fold / Gift Card holder.
Stamp Set and Dies
Isn’t the face on the cat just perfect? I love it. And of course the sentiment fits right in as well. These are both from the new set in the Mini Catalog named Catch You Later. The set includes various animals with adorable sentiments to match. I love cats, so that was the first one for me to try out. This is a birthday card for someone who also loves cats. Like I needed a reason to use the cat. LOL!!
For a bit of a different look, I did the angled banner for the sentiment. The positioning is a little bit out of the normal, but that is fine to me. To get the great shapes for the stamped images I went to a favorite of mine. They are the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I love that the shapes are quite different from any of the other die sets. And they surprisingly fit most sentiments and any of the smaller images.
Papers and Fund Fold
You may not recognize the two DSP patterns I used on this card. They are both the “back” sides of paper in the Sale-A-Bration paper Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper. I love both of these patterns. I paired them with Pale Papaya as the card base. And the unexpected color for a pairing to Pale Papaya is Flirty Flamingo. I would never have put the two together without the plaid pattern using it. Now I am a fan!
As I mentioned, this card is a Fun Fold. And of course, I failed to take a photo of the inside before mailing. However, the measurements are as follows
Card Base is 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 scored on the 8 1/2 side at 2 1/4 from each end.
The Flirty Flamingo layer is 5 1/4 X 2 (x2)
The DSP layer is 5 1/8 X 1 7/8 (x2)
Inside White sentiment layer is 3 3/4 X 4 1/2
Strips for sentiment are 1 X 3 and 3/4 X 2 3/4
To make the Fun Fold, fold on the scoring lines and burnish the folds. The folds are the same size, so it does not matter which is top or bottom. Whichever one you decide is the bottom, add Tear & Tape against the edge on each side and fold up to make the pocket. There is room for the White inside card as well as a gift card. I left the card attached to the little tag they come on and still had room.

I love the adorable animals the Stampin’ Up! Artists create. The new Mini Catalog and Sale-A-Bration Catalogs both have some cute ones. I am focusing on the Happy Hedgehog Bundle with today’s card.
Happy Hedgehog Bundle
I really love it when I can make a card using a single stamp set. To me it means that you can purchase the set, or in this case the bundle, and be ready to go. And for the set to include adorable little critters is just a bonus! Did you notice the sentiment? That is going to be an often used one for me!
The hedgehog is punched using the matching Hedgehog Punch. The cutie can be stamped and punched as one piece like I did. Or it can be layered with the top different to give added depth. More versatility is always a good thing.
Colors
My goal for this card was to be bright and happy to match the new Friends. So I used Just Jade and Pale Papaya. I stamped everything with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then used Stampin’ Blends to color. The adorable bird is one that I actually researched. I needed a bird that was not brown, since most of the other elements had quite a lot of tan / brown. This adorable little girl is an Eastern Bluebird, if you want to be exact.
After layering the hedgehog for a bit of depth, I did the same for the sentiment. It is layered over a strip of Pale Papaya. The perfect fit for the sentiment was the Double Oval Punch. And for a finishing touch, to go along with the other critters, I added a Brushed Brass Butterfly. These little butterflies are so adorable!!
