Today’s card is using one of my favorite stamp sets from the Holiday Catalog. I have used it several times and have mentioned that I feel it is a “sleeper” set. Have you figured out which set it is? It is the Timeless Tidings set. I do not see very many cards made with this set. For the price point, I think it should be snatched up quickly!!

This is another quick and easy card. I have made a few for my Christmas Card stash and just colored them while I watch television at night.
The base is the Thick Whisper White card stock and then layers to show off the beautiful DSP. I stamped the flower and mistletoe with Memento Tuxedo Ink and then colored them with Stampin’ Blends in Shaded Spruce, Cherry Cobbler, and Daffodil Delight. The sentiment is stamped in Shaded Spruce.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you have all of your Thanksgiving plans near completion so you can enjoy your day. I will have a quick card you can peruse over our morning caffeine. 🙂
I have another of the adorable snowmen for the Global Design Project color challenge. The challenge is for Merry Merlot, Tranquil Tide , and Crumb Cake. Well who would not love that mix of colors???? I use them regularly. And especially with the Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper. So here is my Jolly Snowman.
Spirited Snowmen, 148072
My card is one that any level stamper could quickly duplicate. I stamped the snowman with Memento Tuxedo Ink and then colored him with the above colors. The only addition is Pumpkin Pie for his nose and pool party to give some depth to his “snow”. A little swipe is all it takes for that.
The gorgeous ribbon is the reversible Merry Merlot / Copper ribbon in the Holiday Catalog. It is so pretty. I did twist the ribbon in making the knot so that only the Merlot side showed. I then adhered the sentiment with a row of glue dots. As I said, easy peasy!!!
Thank you for visiting today! I greatly appreciate it. I hope you will return tomorrow for another quick and easy project.
I had intended to do more Thanksgiving cards this week. But you know how intentions are…….so there is a Beachy Christmas card instead. Everyone knows Santa needs a vacation too.
Before you see today’s card, please don’t leave without going to the bottom of my post. There are a couple of exciting new products that you might not have seen previously. They were announced at OnStage and this is the first time I am sharing some of them.
But now for Santa!!
So Santa, 147821
I just picture this is Santa taking a break before getting ready for the rush of delivering gifts. I purposely did not use Christmas DSP or colors. Instead I paired Santa with Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper, one of the 6 X 6 paper stacks. I also colored his trunks and board in wild colors as well. He is definitely on Vacation!
The new items further down are the Stamparatus Carry Bag, which I cannot wait to get in my hands!!
The debut of the NEW Cling stamps: It may be a sad day for some of you. Stampin’ Up! is retiring the Wood mount stamps. There will only be Cling and Photopolymer. The Cling may look the same but are 50 times more sticky. In fact, you need to be careful when taking the stamp off of the clear block so you do not rip the foam. These are going to stick even here in the high humidity of the South! Check out the video by clicking on the words above the picture.
Stamparatus accessories, which are not totally new, just I have not really focused on them.
Thank you so much for visiting with me today. I hope you enjoyed today’s card and will return tomorrow for another new project.
MEASUREMENTS:
Base is 5 1/2 X 8 1/2
Layer is 4 1/8 X 5 3/8
DSP is 4 X 2 1/4 and 4 X 3
small layers for Santa are 2 7/8 X 3 1/8, and 2 3/4 X 3
small layers for sentiment are 2 5/8 X 1 1/8 and 2 1/2 X 1
Today’s card is a case of a wall decoration I saw on pinterest. That was a painting instead of a card. But I thought it would make a great card. The concept is nothing new, but the look of the fence was the inspiration and one I have not previously made.
Rooted In Nature Bundle, 148353
I mentioned above that I have made similar cards with a cut out that is raised above the stamped image. But I had not used a different type shape, like this leaf. I had not previously used the Wood Textures DSP either. I love the wooden fence look.
I added the die cut/stamped leaves in front of the tree as some added dimension. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised with the final result. I hope you will give this a try using different shapes for the cut out.
The cut apart words are also a first for me. I am not sure why I spread them around the card, but when I tried with them all together, it just did not work for me. A day of difference!
The tree in the background is colored with Stampin’ Write Markers. I really hate that they cannot be ordered individually right now. I periodically add that to the idea box on the Stampin’ Up! website. Hopefully it will be an option in the future.
Thank you for stopping by. I will be back on Monday with a new project. I hope you will check in to see what it is. Here is wishing you a good weekend to come!
I am playing along with the Global Design Project Challenge 164 of Case the Designer. I love this one, as I got to meet the designer, Louise Sharp, at the Stampin’ Up! Convention in Orlando a few days ago. She is a bubbly and funny lady that I immediately liked.
I chose to make a Fall card for the challenge. Of course great minds think alike, LOL!! I saw my fellow SU Demonstrator, and Friend, Lynn Kolcun posted yesterday with a card for the same challenge that is very similar to mine. I sent her the photo of my card with a LOL comment!
Falling For Leaves Bundle, 149938
Sometimes I forget how much I love embossing. I remember seeing it many years ago for the first time and thinking WOW! I even now think WOW every time the powder becomes shiny. I used the Copper Embossing Powder today and then filled in the sections with my Stampin’ Blends. The Blends are so quick and easy to work with.
I pretty much allowed the leaf to stand alone and become the focal point of the card. I did add a few of the Faceted Dots as accents. The gingham DSP is a sneak peek for the 2019 Occasions Catalog. I hate that you cannot ordered it yet. But I know you are going to love it!!
Thank you so much for stopping by today. I hope you will join me tomorrow, as I have another Leaf card to share.
