Life happened again and I still owe you guys two cards using the same short flap layout. I have not forgotten and here is the fourth one. It is a sweet Thank You for a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator I have just met that lives in my area. We had a great time together and I wanted to send her a note.

Stamps & Dies
This card is a tone on tone for the most part. I used a softer than normal color for the flowers to keep it in that same theme. This pretty flower is from the Boutique Blossoms Bundle from the May Catalog. The flowers are Two-Step stamping and are really easy to line up properly. I used Timid Tiger Ink, believe it or not, for the rose. The outline is full strength and then I stamped off first for the fill. I love getting double duty and two shades of color from one ink pad.
The Dies are part of the Bundle as well. At least the floral Dies are. I die cut the rose, added some detail with the extra stems at the top and then added the rose leaves. Although they do not seem quite right. Oh well, it works. On the plus side, if you are like me and love sentiment stamp sets, I have a great one for you. The little Thank You is from a new set in the 07-26 OnLine Exclusives. It is Botanical Expressions. The sentiments are great for both inside and fronts.
The extra Die set is the Nested Essentials Dies. These are a carryover that rank in the top three of my favorites and most flexible Dies. The Banner Die comes in several sizes as does the other shapes.
Papers
This card base is Petal Pink measuring 5 1/2 X 7 1/4 and scored at 4 1/4. The layer is Pumpkin Pie. I know that is surprising how well these two compliment each other. And they work wonderfully with the DSP. The Pumpkin Pie is cut to 2 3/4 X 5 1/8 for the front, and 3 7/8 X 5 1/8 for the inside. The inside white is 2 5/8 X 5.
The star of this card, as much as the rose, is the DSP. This is one that I have not used in a while but is still available. I remembered to check on that. It is the gorgeous Garden Party Designer Series Paper. There are several bright colors of this same pattern on the front with a watercolor mix of the colors on the reverse. It really is a wonderful paper to have. The front panel measures 2 5/8 X 5 and the strip is cut to 1 X 5.
Extras
To continue adding texture to the focal layer, I added a bow of White Baker’s Twine. The baker’s twine comes in a pack of 5 basic colors. That gives it the name of Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack. There are White, an off white, a light tan, a darker tan, and finally black. So basically it is a pack of neutral colors.
And to add the finishing touch there is Bling! For this card I went to the old reliable, and favorite, Rhinestones! There are a trio of rhinestones scattered on the card with the main one on the center of the rose.
