The upcoming Mini Catalog has awesome Fall and Winter products as expected. But there are a few that include stamps that work anytime of year. The Clever Cats is one of those stamp sets. And since I love cats…..you know I had to have it!
Stamp Set(s)
Normally I would say I used a certain set at this point. However for this card, I combined a few different sets I started with the Clever Cats stamp set and this Fat Cat! He reminds me of my male cat, who is a bit on the round side!! I had just used the cake plate from Sweets & Treats stamp set and when I saw it, the idea was born.
With the cake plate, and a little masking, it allows Fat Cat’s tail to hang over perfectly. This also led me to the sentiment. I immediately thought of him eating, or pushing off, the cake. I knew Way To Goat had the perfect sentiment. The “I got you a cake” along with the inside sentiment “But I ate it”. The perfect pairing for this card.
Paper and Details
I chose the greens for the card more from not having used green colors in a while. The DSP is from Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper. It is paired with Just Jade cardstock and a thin layer of Smoky Slate cardstock.
To give the sentiment a bit more presence, I used the Ornate Frames to layer it. I love the shape. It is almost like a plaque on the wall. And the cat would be happy to announce what he had done! The finish of the 2021-2023 In Color Jewel is all this one needed.
Measurements
All of the products are listed in the supply list at the bottom of the post with the exception of the Clever Cats and Sweets & Treats sets. The photos are not available yet.
The base card of Just Jade is cut 4 1/4 X 11, scored and folded at 5 1/4
The Smoky Slate layer is cut 3 7/8 X 5 1/8
The DSP layer is cut 3 3/4 X 5
The front Smoky Slate layer is cut 2 1/2 X 3 1/8
The stamped cat layer is cut to 2 3/8 X 3

Now, on to the card for today. This is another one using the Expressions In Ink Designer Series Paper. You all are probably familiar with how gorgeous this paper is. It does so much of the work by itself.
The Paper
As I mentioned at the top, this DSP is so beautiful that it is a wonderful card all by itself. There are a couple of sheets like this one with white running through the middle. I love being able to cut the paper to use the sheets like this one without covering up any of the color and the gold.
Of course I chose the other colors based on the DSP. The green is Soft Succulent and was chosen as a soft pairing for the Magenta Madness of the rose. The paper has both Magenta Madness and Polished Pink. I used the softer Polished Pink as the cardstock layers.
Stamps and Dies
The stamps used for the flower, leaves, and sentiment are from the Artistically Inked stamp set. I used the matching Artistic Dies for the stamped leaves and flower, and also for the DSP cut small flower above the Thanks. You can save 10% by purchasing the stamp and dies as a bundle.
The little flower cut from the DSP does not show the shape as well as I thought it would in the photo. But you cannot miss the great gold running through it. To finish the card I added a gold gem from the Genial Gems to the center of large flower. Gold is always a good choice!!!

I have found another Fun Fold card to share. You may have seen this design from fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Sue Campfield. She has a couple of posts and videos on it. I fell in love immediately and had to give it a try.
Corner Tuck Fun Fold
As I said at the top of the post, this card is from Susan Campfield and she has a video. I used her basic measurements and added a little bit. The inside of her card did not have an extra layer. To add a bit of carry through, I stamped the Misty Moonlight layer with the stamped tree images. These are from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set. I thought they worked perfectly with the Beauty of the Earth Designer Series Paper.
The other thing I added was the layer of cardstock behind the DSP strip on the left side of the front. It seemed the DSP sort of bled into the base color. I also used that strip to anchor the front square focal layer. I centered and placed the square layer right up against that left strip. That allowed me to better center everything. You can see from the photo that the layer tucks underneath the corner but is still fairly centered on the card.
Here is the view of the open card.
Stamps and Paper
The star of this card, besides the fun fold, is the DSP. I mentioned above that it it the Beauty of The Earth Designer Series Paper. This is what most people would think of as the back side. You know how I love using the back side!! And I love that the corner piece and the other two containing the trees are all from the same sheet of paper. The corner piece is from the top of the paper.
In trying to add some texture and detail to the inside of the card, I decided some matching trees would be the perfect thing. By finding this similar tree in the Perfectly Plaid set, it seemed just meant to be. It is a carryover from the last two holiday catalogs and a favorite of mine. I love the small tree images that work for various seasons and needs.
The sentiments are from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set. These are perfect for any time. We should let people know whenever they inspire us in some way. The mix of fonts are always something that draws me to a sentiment. The front sentiment is cut using a die from the Painted Labels Dies. It is finished off with a Glitter Ribbon to ground it.
Measurements and My Directions
Card base of Night of Navy is cut 4 1/4 X 8 and scored at 2 1/2
Inside layer of Misty Moonlight is cut to 5 1/4 X 4 1/8
Front left Misty Moonlight layer is cut to 1 X 4
Front left DSP layer is cut to 7/8 X 3 7/8
Center Misty Moonlight layer is cut to 3 1/8 X 3 1/8
Center DSP layer is cut to 3 X 3
Inside White layer is cut to 3 X 3
The right corner is Night of Navy cardstock and a piece of DSP. Both are cut to 3 X 3 and then each is cut on the diagonal. Save one half piece from each paper for later.
Glue the triangle of DSP and cardstock together to make a stronger corner. Add dimensionals to each corner.
Stamp the tree image on the Misty Moonlight inside layer using Misty Moonlight Ink that you stamp off first.
Adhere this layer to the inside of the card.
Adhere the corner piece flush against the corners of the inside.
Test fold the front flap and make sure it clears the point of the corner layer. You may need to trim just a fraction off of that end.
Layer and add the Left side strip to the left edge of the front flap. Space it evenly at top, bottom, and left side.
Add the focal layer right up against strip.
Place the White inside sentiment in the center of the inside and it should be hidden by the front flap.

Today’s card is another sneak peek from the upcoming Mini Catalog. I have not really thought of Christmas cards yet, except for one I did for a blog hop. But after playing with this stamp set, it has given me some wonderful ideas. I hope it inspires you as well.
Stamp Set
As I said, this set is from the upcoming Mini Catalog, so I do not have the photo of it to add to the supply list. But it is the Whimsical Trees set. It also has matching Dies, DSP, and a Ribbon in the Suite. All of them are amazing!!!!
All of the stamps used here are included in the stamp set. This is probably my favorite of the trees. And it stamps wonderfully! Even though it is red rubber, the ornaments (or lights if you prefer) fit perfectly over top of the stamped tree image. So it is very easy to line it up so lights are not off in the white space.
I love the trio of hanging ornaments. The stamp includes the trio all in one. You could always add more of the ornaments across the top of the card. They remind me of some of the ornaments from my childhood. Coloring them was really quick and easy with the Stampin’ Blends. I will say that I tried stamping them in Memento Black and it was too dark for the smaller image. Basic Gray is what I ended up using.
Layout
I wanted this to be one of the “Clean” cards that I see so often. Sadly, I struggle to do this type. I like layers!! But I controlled myself and only did the stamped layer and the base layer. By stamping directly onto the layer I am always afraid I will make a mistake. Luckily that did not happen this time.
The “Joy” focal point was the only added layers. I used the smallest of the Layering Circles Dies to get this look. To finish it off I added a single Rhinestone for some bling!

The card I am sharing with you today has a bit of an “old fashioned” look to it. At least it does to me. That look aside, I love the card and the stamp set it is from.
Stamp Set
I hope you think this card is as cute as I do. Since I am in an older age group, LOL, I remember when there were pies sitting out to cool or waiting to be cut. This stamp set is the Sweets & Treats stamp set. (I do not have the photo of the stamp set in my supply list because it is not available yet) It is in the upcoming Mini Catalog. The catalog goes live on the 3rd of August. So just a week away!!
Here is a view of the inside with another fun stamp from the set.
I could not resist adding that candied apple to the inside. Of course since I used Granny Apple Green as one of the colors, I had to make it a Granny Smith Apple! Both of the sentiments are from the stamp set as well.
Colors
When I decided on the apple pie, I immediately had the “old fashioned” thought. So I looked for a DSP that fit the bill. It was located in the Host Rewards DSP of Pattern Party. This is an amazing pack of paper, and the price makes it even better!
All of the Designer Series Paper comes from the Pattern Party pack. And the other colors used are pulled from the paper as well. The Cajun Craze is a bit darker than the Calypso Coral in the paper but works perfectly.
Layout and Measurements
The fun fold was chosen to highlight the Designer Series Paper that is on the inside of the card. I thought it looked like old time wallpaper. The image ended up being a bit larger than I had planned, but still enough of the DSP shows.
The card base is Cajun Craze cut to 5 1/2 X 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4, then cut 2 1/4 off front
The Inside DSP is cut to 5 1/4 X 4
The front DSP is cut to 1 3/4 X 5 1/4
The Cajun Craze front layer is cut to 3 3/4 X 3 3/4
The front stamped White layer is cut to 3 1/2 X 3 1/2
The inside stamped White layer is cut to 3 1/2 X 3 1/2

I have made this same Interlocking Gate Fold card previously. Today is simply using different DSP and a different stamp set. This version is using the Sweet Symmetry Designer Series Paper along with the In Symmetry stamp set.
Here is a view of how it opens.
Fun Fold
The Interlocking Gate Fold, that is what I call it, is a fun and easy card to make. The only difficulty is aligning the bars across the front to be equal distance apart. The top and bottom bars are connected by one that is hidden. The flower is attached to the hidden bar. These two are attached to the card on the left side. The center bar is by itself and is attached on the right side.
Products
The In Symmetry stamp set and the Sweet Symmetry Designer Series paper are two of the four products in the Sweet Symmetry Suite of products. I did not use the punch which Bundles with the stamp set, or the matching Flirty Flamingo ribbon.
To make the flower, I stamped the large flower stamp twice. It is a photopolymer stamp set. I inked and stamped onto a square of Basic White cardstock. The first time I had the flower in the straight up, normal position. For the second stamping, I re-inked and turned it upside down. Because it is photopolymer, I could see pretty clearly the bottom of the first stamping. So lining them up was pretty simple. Then all I needed were my handy Paper Snips to fussy cut the flower out. The final touch was adding a Blue Adhesive Gem to the center of the flower.

Today I am using a stamp from the Elegantly Said stamp set. Except the card is not at all elegant! It is fun and sort of loud. And that is okay with me!!
Color
Doesn’t the Magenta Madness sort of shout out for you to “look here”? I love the brightness! It is softened quite a bit with the DSP and the Gray Granite. Not everyone is into really bright and I think this would be acceptable to most folks.
I chose the bright Magenta Madness and Polished Pink for the flowers first. And yes that is different because I usually get the color from the DSP. But since this piece of the Bloom Where You’re Planted Designer Series Paper sheet doesn’t have much in the way of color, I had to come up with my own. The Evening Evergreen for the stem and leaves also keeps the pinks from all running together.
Technique
This is an old technique that I often wonder if it is used very much anymore. I colored the red rubber stamp with Stampin’ Write Markers. It doesn’t seem that as many people purchase the Markers any longer. They now come in the Color Families and that makes it a bit more of a purchase . The In Color Families are 5 markers for 15.00 and the Color Family markers are 10 markers for 30.00. Since they seem to last forever, I think these are still a very good price point.
Before I stamped the flowers, I die cut the shape using the Hippo & Friends Die set. I adore the shapes that this set has for layering. I die cut first to make sure I had enough space since I was using a scrap of paper. Then it was just color the red rubber stamp with the markers, give it a little huff (or as a fellow demonstrator once said “the breath of life”!) This is to moisten the ink well in case it is beginning to dry on the stamp. Same idea as using the water and the Simply Shammy to clean the stamps.
Finishing Touches
I glued all of the layers onto the Magenta Madness base card. With Stampin’ Dimensionals added to the back of my stamped image, But with the backings still attached. it was easy to play with the ribbon and decide how I wanted it to look.
After making a final decision, I added just a couple of short lines of Stampin’ Seal beneath where the image would be placed. Weaving the ribbon back and forth was a fun minute of play time trying to get it to stick where I wanted it to be and not where it wanted to be! With the stamped image set into place you could not see the mess of ribbon underneath. That is my secret!
Once again, I have used DSP that is part of the Designer Series paper Sale! You still have a bit more time to stock up on this gorgeous paper.

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s July Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are having fun with our stamping favorites – our favorite themes for seasonal cards and projects. This month’s projects feature Christmas! I hope you are in a Holiday mood because there is a lot of Christmas fun headed your way. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Christmas is my favorite time of year for card making. I am very excited to share with you a card using two of the Christmas sets in the upcoming Mini Catalog.
Stockings
The stockings are so darn cute!! They are from the Stockings Dies as part of the Sweet Stockings Suite of products. For this card I only used the stockings from the suite. I wanted them to be the star of the show. Instead of stamping the design stocking, I used the Greenery Embossing Folder to give them the knitted looking texture. The toe layer is part of the dies as is the front banner looking lever holding the stockings.
I added just a simple sentiment of “Joy” by going with a third stocking. This one is cut from the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper. I then used Cherry Cobbler Ink to stamp the Joy. The Joy and the inside sentiment are both from the Whimsical Trees stamp set. That is another great set!
Colors
The color choices all came from the gorgeous DSP. As mentioned above, it is the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper from the Annual Catalog. I fell in love with this piece immediately. For a different look to my card, I went with Pool Party as the base color. It is not a listed color of the paper stack but works perfectly.
The Sahara Sand also works perfectly with this sheet of paper. I used it to separate the base and DSP. The lever on the front has a little strip of another sheet from the DSP pack. To bring out the Real Red / Cherry Cobbler of the paper, I added that strip to hang the stockings from. And to also stamp the Joy on the center stocking.
Layout and Measurements
This card is one I have seen several times lately. I think of it as an offset gate fold card. I have already played with a variety of different sizes of the folds. Here are the measurements for this one.
Base of Pool Party is cut to 4 1/4 X 11 and scored at 4 & 9 1/2
Sahara Sand is cut to 4 X 3 3/4 and 4 X 1 1/4
DSP is cut to 3 7/8 X 3 5/8 and 3 7/8 X 1 18
Inside White layer is 4 X 5 1/4
Here is a view of the open card. I added an extra stocking there as well.
Reminder that the stockings and sentiments are from the Stockings Dies and the Whimsical Trees (sentiments) stamp set. These products are in the Mini Catalog that goes live on August 3rd.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Marylin Jones at Stamp With MJ. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!

I know I have used the Sweet As A Peach stamp set a few times. It is just so darn cute!!! For today’s version I have added a little bit of a fun fold / layout. It is still super sweet!
And here is a view of the inside
Layout / Fun Fold
This is another simple fun fold that looks very nice. The base card is 5 1/2 X 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/2. Then I cut off 2 1/4 from the right edge of the front section. (Save that piece for another project) I used the second largest of the Scalloped Contours Dies for the top layer. It is centered and only adhered to the left section. The front focal layer is the next smaller of the Scalloped Contours Dies. I cut two pieces of Basic White with this. One is used on the inside.
Colors
As always, the DSP helps with color choices. The Balmy Blue is from the little blue flower in the You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper. I chose the softer striped blue DSP as a complimenting piece to the flower sheet.
The peach is inked using the Pale Papaya Ink pad. I then used a sponge to add a light touch of Calypso Coral to the side and top of the stamp. (Note: when doing this technique, get a little ink on your sponge and then tap it onto the stamp. Do not rub.) The leaf is stamped with Pear Pizzaz Ink. Both sentiments are stamped using Calypso Coral Ink.
