Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team is showcasing “My Happiest Season.” We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments! We love hearing from you. At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
I love Christmas, and always have. I even collect Santa Claus figures of any kind. To choose my favorite season of the year there was no question what my card would be about. It was just down to which stamp set to use.
I went with the Don’t Stop Believin’ Stamp Set from the Mini Catalog. I could not resist this Santa image. I love all of the images in the set, but this one was tops. It is a fairly large stamp and I wanted it to be the focal point. Saying that, I ended up adding several extras. But I think he is still the star. I stamped Santa with Smoky Slate Ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends. The fur and his beard have a touch of Wink Of Stella for some shine.
To cut the “frame” for Santa, I used the new Celebration Labels Dies. I cut the opening from Tis’ The Season Designer Series Paper. I also used the Foam Adhesive Strips to raise the cut out from underneath. This is a great alternative to using quite a few Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The holly is from one of the Returning Favorites stamp sets. It is from Christmas Gleaming. I was so happy that set was one of the returning ones. I used those holly leaves several times last year. The holly and berries are colored using Stampin’ Blends.
The finishing touches are the ribbon and sentiment. The white ribbon is one of three from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Bundle. I paired it with the red from Playful Pets Trim Combo. And finally the sentiment is from the Don’t Stop Believin’ set. I cut it with one of the Layering Ovals. I don’t usually leave a sentiment a single layer like this. But I didn’t want to add any more layers to this one.
Thank you for stopping by my blog! Please leave a comment and let me know your favorite Santa!
More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for our next blog hop on September 9th when our theme is “It’s the Sentiment that Counts.” The Design Team will showcase a sentiment as the focal point of their project. Don’t miss the fun! Until then, please stay safe and have fun in your craft room.
I am back with the Goats today. This stamp set is so darn cute. I have used it a couple of times already and the recipients all say they love the cards and laugh at the cute goats.
These cute guys, or gals, would work for pretty much anyone’s birthday. At least for those of us that are a bit older! I think they are just adorable, and I love the sentiments. The goats are stamped with Gray Granite Ink and just the highlights are colored with Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends.
I colored the base just a bit with Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend. I love this color for giving the shadow look around images. I used it here to sort of ground the guys.
The paper is from the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper. The pack is a beautiful mix of Fall colors. I paired this sheet with Cajun Craze and Crumb Cake card stock. The ribbon is a retired (I didn’t realize that until I was writing this post – Oops!) Satin Mint Macaron Ribbon. It is a perfect match for the Mint Macaron stripes and the stem of the poor flower that is being eaten.
Thank you for stopping in today. I hope you enjoyed another version of the Old Goats and will come back again.

I have been cleaning, sorting, etc in my craft space a bit lately. One of the best parts of this is I find old projects that I saved because of the layout, folds, etc. Today I have a gift card holder that is an “Oldie but a Goodie”. This is one that is very quick and simple in terms of cutting and scoring. And it it super flexible so that different stamping or DSP makes it appropriate for anyone at any time of year. I know I need gift card holders year round!
As I started working on this post, I realized I did not add the touch of bling that I had planned on. So imagine that there is some bling next to the sentiment! LOL!!! Sometimes I would forget my head. I was running out of time, so did not go back down to my room to fix it. Sorry!!
Besides the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper, I used the Little Treats stamp set. This little set has decorations and sentiments for a variety of occasions. Plus the Little Treat Box is adorable.
Here is the inside of the card.
As you can see , the gift card sort of stands up in the center fold. You can decorate this card as much, or as little as you want. I opted to just show the pretty DSP. It is from the Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper. As I have this one done, which is DSP on every panel on both sides, it takes 2 sheets of the 6X6, with just a bit left over. I have the measurements for you below.
Here is a close up of the slit that the gift card fits in.
I cut the slit just after I have made all of the score lines. Go back to the 6″ score line. It is the center one of the three that are close together. Using the Paper Trimmer, lay that score line on the cutting track. Come in 3/8″ and slice down the score line, and stop at 3/8″ from the other end. To make the little stand up holder, use Tear & Tape and place it against the cut edge on one of the panels above or below the cut line. You do not need to do it on both of those sections. But the tape does need to be against the edge so you don’t close up the opening you made.
Thank you for stopping by today. I will add the instructions and measurements just below. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact me. I would love to help you out.
MEASUREMENTS:
Card base is 4 1/4 X 10
Score along the 10″ side at 2, 5, 6, & 7.
Place the 6″ slit on the Paper Trimmer and cut , leaving 3/8″ from each end solid
Fold and burnish on all score lines. Make a “mountain, Valley ” fold with the three short lines. The slit for the gift card should be at the top.
Place Tear & Tape along the edge on each end of one of the 5-6 or 6-7 scored sections.
Cut DSP to: 2 pieces cut 1 3/4 X 4, and 4 pieces cut 2 3/4 X 4
After adhering the paper, remove the Tear & Tape and make the mountain with the slot at the top.
Decorate the front as you see fit. I did use a velcro dot to hold the card closed due to the thickness.

I have been playing with new sets from the Mini Catalog today and considering all of the upcoming holidays. I decided to give a nod to Halloween for this post. I am not a Scary Halloween person. I want the smiles and of course the candy!
This adorable stamp is from the Festive Post stamp set. I have used this set previously, as well as the Posted With Love set from the Annual Catalog. Both of these are fast becoming favorites.
The DSP is from the Magic In This Night Designer Series Paper. It is so pretty! I was very pleased to see Pretty Peacock, Blackberry Bliss and Cajun Craze paired with the Black in the pack of DSP. This is probably my favorite sheet from the pack. Pretty Peacock pairs well with so many colors that I was not afraid to pair it with Crumb Cake. I needed that color for the witch’s brooms.
The Tag is cut using the Fancy Tag Punch. Since this tag can be as long as you need it to be, I cut a 2″ strip, stamped and then decided where to cut the bottom length. I love that. The ribbon is the Pretty Peacock Scallop Linen Ribbon that carried over from the last Annual Catalog. I knew I wanted something on the bottom of the tag and could not decide. So I went ahead with the tie for the top while I was thinking on what would work. When I noticed the back side of the ribbon was solid linen colored, I had found my answer. I just cut a piece to 2″ and glued it to the bottom of the tag with the linen only side showing. A happy find!!
Thank you for stopping by today. This is a quick and cute card, My Favorite!!!

The card I am sharing with you today is very nature / rough / woody and fairly masculine. It started out as an idea from a sketch I saw. And as happens fairly often, it became totally different than intended. I like it anyway.
All of the stamped elements are fromthe Rooted In Nature stamp set. I also used the matching dies for the leaves. The background DSP is from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. All of those sheets are gorgeous and are either stone or wood.
The sentiment is from the stamp set and is the three wordings one above the other. I stamped them and then cut them out with my paper snips. To give them more oomph I layered them on a piece of Cajun Craze card stock and then fussy cut again. These are great for fussy cutting because they are simply straight lines, and not very long either.
Thank you for stopping in today. This card was a bit different than my normal, but that can be a good thing!

I hope the new OnLine Store went well for you yesterday!! I know there were a few issues and getting used to all the new features. So far I really love it. Especially the Wish Lists. If you want to give a family member or friend some gift ideas for you, share your Wish List with them. Be sure to give them my information as well! They can order on Line or through me. While we are on the subject, I can do Gift Certificates as well. The holidays are right around the corner!!
Today I have a cute and fairly quick little Christmas Card. I love smaller size stamps and this card is one of the reasons why.
I paired the cute little stamps from the Little Treats stamp set and some of the gorgeous paper from Tis The Season Designer Series Paper. I stamped using Cherry Cobbler Ink and Shaded Spruce Ink. I cut the images using the Layering Squares Dies. I used the 2nd smallest for the stamped pieces. The scalloped layer is the 4th smallest of the scalloped ones.
The sentiment is from the Merry Moose stamp set. I stamped it using Memento Tuxedo Black to help it stand out somewhat. I love the smaller font, And it fits perfectly in the open area at the bottom. Merry Moose is another of the Returning Favorites from last Holiday Catalog. There are several!
As a finishing touch, I added a bit of Wink of Stella to the santa hat and the package. I also added some Red Rhinestones to the sentiment and the candy pieces.
Measurements:
Cherry Cobbler base card is 5 1/2 X 8 1/2
Whisper White is 5 1/4 X 4
DSP is 5 1/4 X 2 1/2
Thank you for stopping by today. If you have any questions about the card, or the new On Line Store, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

Today is the launch of the Mini Catalog, as well as the launch of the new On Line Store!! Two great things at once. I hope you will check out the store and see all of the new looks and features. And you can do that without placing an order. One of the new features that I love is that you do not lose your shopping cart items if you log out before purchasing. Next time you log in, they will still be there!!
I am mixing a carry over favorite with some new products today. I fell in love last year with the Perfectly Plaid Bundle. The little Christmas Trees with matching punch. I was thrilled when it carried over to the Annual Catalog, and am so happy to break it out again.
As I said above, I mixed several products today. The first is the Perfectly Plaid stamp set and Pine Tree punch. I stamped the plaid tree three times using Shaded Spruce Ink and punched them out with the matching punch. I then scored each one down the middle, burnished and then glued them together.
The background for the trees is the new Balmy Blue Glitter paper. It reminds me of a bright winter night here. I cut a piece that is square and a bit larger than the die cut circle. I will say that glue and regular adhesive do not work very well for the glitter paper. Since I wanted it to be raised anyway, to give some depth for the trees, I used the Foam Adhesive Strips around the edges of the glimmer paper.
The front panel is Just Jade Card Stock. I die cut the circle first using the Layering Circles Dies. I used the 4th smallest scalloped circle. After cutting the circle, I embossed the panel with the new Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder. I believe it may show better in landscape mode, but that was not my layout. It still works here.
To adhere the trees to the Glimmer paper, I used glue dots. I wanted to make sure it would hold and the glue just didn’t seem to want to set. I added about 4 of them for security! The finishing touch to this forest of trees is the banner. The sentiment is from the Festive Post stamp set. And it is cut using the banner die from Tasteful Labels Dies. I added one of the 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots for a bit of bling. I didn’t want it to conflict with the glitter paper, so went with the Just Jade dot instead of a rhinestone.
Thank you for stopping in today. I hope you like today’s creation. And please let me know if I can assist you with your next order.

Before I get to today’s card. REMINDER: Today is the last day to get a Bonus Days Coupon. Beginning tomorrow you can redeem the coupon(s) on your next order.
Today’s card is a really quick and cute card that I made multiples of for my customers in July. And who doesn’t love a Hug, especially a Paper Hug.
When I make multiples of cards, I try to keep the layers fairly simple. This includes cards with multiple layers, as this one is. I did not intend for it to have four layers!!! But I got carried away with the beautiful DSP. The paper is from the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. It is a bigger than usual pack of paper and all the sheets are gorgeous. I used various ones and matched the card colors to those in the sheets of paper. I just forgot to photograph more than this one.
The sentiment is from the Comfort & Hope stamp set. It is a very versatile set and I especially love this sentiment. It is perfect for our current situation of distancing. The layers of the sentiment are from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I use these dies quite often. They are all awesome!
For some extra texture, I added the blue and white bakers twine from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Pack. There are also a green checked and a white ribbon in the pack. And for the finishing touch I added a Metallic Pearl above the sentiment.
Thanks for stopping by today. Tomorrow is the debut of the Mini Catalog! WooHoo!! If you do not have a Mini Catalog and do not currently have a demonstrator, please let me know and I will be happy to get a catalog to you. It is a great one.

Did the title catch your attention? Who doesn’t love cookies, right!!!! Today I am playing with the Nothing Better Than Bundle. Love, Love, Love it! A lot of the things that I Love are in this stamp set.
Today I focused on the Cookies. I know the sentiment is not always correct. But in a big, happy, world, cookies make everything better. Or, you can choose which stamp makes all better for you!
The “Cookies” die cut is made using the die from the bundle, the awesome Foam Adhesive Sheets, and Coastal Cabana card stock. I almost lost the dot for the “i”, but found it stuck to the side of my finger. LOL!! So watch out for those little pieces.
I know my cookies may be a bit odd colored to some of you. But I am not a big fan of Chocolate Chip cookies. Which is great for me because my husband loves them, and I would be eating them all the time! So I made my cookies more of an oatmeal or sugar cookie with sprinkles.
The background DSP is from the Play With Pattern Designer Series Paper, as is the die cut DSP. The die used is the Celebration Labels, which is in the upcoming Mini Catalog. There are quite a few of the same shape in varying sizes. They are designed to be folded over as bag toppers as well as layers like I did.
For the sentiment I used the 2nd smallest of the Celebration Labels dies and then cut it in half where it is indented to fold. I didn’t need the full size. The “stitching” is using the Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Write Marker with the hard end to go along the perforated edge. That is definitely an old technique!!
Thank you for stopping in today. I hope you have a relaxing weekend. Monday will be your last day to place an order and receive a Bonus Days coupon code. Also, the online store will be getting a fabulous new facelift with some great new features. This will go live on Tuesday along with the new Mini Catalog.

The other day I shared a Christmas card with the Rectangular Postage Punch and the Festive Post stamp set. Today I am sharing the punch with the stamp set it bundles with. This stamp set is the Posted For You. The Bundle with the punch and this stamp set gets you the 10% Discount!
For this card, I paired Balmy Blue Card Stock with Just Jade Card Stock and Ribbon. The embossed background is the lovely Ornate Floral Embossing Folder. It is has great detail of small flowers.
The butterfly and Love are from the stamp set. The sentiment is from Positive Thoughts. This is one of my favorite sentiments and I use it regularly. Those three words are wonderful!
I stamped the butterfly and the Love with Gray Granite Ink and colored with a variety of Stampin’ Blends. All that I used are listed in the Supply List at the bottom of the post. The sentiment is stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink.
Thank you for stopping in today! I really do appreciate it and love your comments and questions.
