Happy Thanksgiving to you and your families. I hope your day is a good one however you choose to spend this holiday. We will be spending the day with friends that are family. But first I have a card to share. It is a really Fun Fold and a Gift Card Holder.
I made this gift card holder as a Thanksgiving card, which may seem a bit odd. This year has definitely made me aware of how much I have to be thankful for. So I thought a gift to someone special is a good way to show how grateful I am for them, or something they have done.
LOL!!! Please forgive my finger…..the card wanted to open instead of cooperating with the picture!
As I said at the top of the post, this is a Fun Fold. But first, I love the simplicity of the look of the front. The pumpkin is from the Harvest Hello stamp set and is stamped on Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper. The sentiment, which is an all time favorite, is from the Banner Year stamp set.
Here is the next view:
This is with the pumpkin layer lifted up. It reveals a gift card. The gift card is in a pocket on the bottom section. And seeing this picture, I should have stamped something on the underside of the pumpkin layer. Never fear, I will be doing this Fun Fold again!!
Here is the final opening:
Now you can see where the gift card is being held. Yes this card has quite a few layers, but I do love all of the folds. As I said, I will be doing this one again soon!!
Here are all of the measurements and instructions:
The base is Rich Razzleberry and is cut 5 1/2 X 4 1/4
the Crumb Cake layer is cut 4 X 7 1/4 and scored at 5 1/4
For the gift card slot, you need Crumb Cake cut to 1 3/4 X 3 3/4. Put Tear & Tape on each short side and one long side. Adhere with the side without tape and the end. (as shown in last picture)
Center the Crumb Cake layer folded as if it was a 4 X 5 1/4 layer
The Bumblebee layer is cut to 3 3/4 X 5 for the inside layer and 3 3/4 X 1 3/4 for the bottom fold
The Rich Razzleberry layer is cut to 3 1/2 X 4 3/4 for the inside and 3 1/2 X 1 1/2 for the bottom fold
The Top Crumb Cake folded layer is 2 3/4 X 8, folded at 4
The top Bumblebee layer is 2 1/2 X 3 3/4
Thank you for stopping in today! Happy Thanksgiving from my family. Please come back tomorrow for another new project.

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s October Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are enjoying a year of celebrations. This month’s projects celebrate Thanksgiving, so prepare yourself for Autumn landscapes, warm colors and sweet reminders of all the reasons we have to be grateful this time of year. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
This month’s theme is right up my alley. Every year I really enjoy making Fall Cards and those that say we are Grateful. I also tried a new card layout.
The Focal point of the card is the Wreath! I love the Arrange a Wreath Bundle. I feel it is really showcased here. The background of the wreath is stamped using Mint Macaron on Very Vanilla card stock. I sort of fussy cut around the outside of the wreath, but not overly detailed. I then did the same for the inside. The Cinnamon Cider wreath is not stamped on. It is only die cut using the wreath die. The embossing of the leaves is part of the die! I love that.
The banner across the wreath made me very happy! I played with different versions for getting the sentiment. I used the Banner Year Bundle for the sentiment. It does not really show in the picture, but I used my bone folder to curve the banner just a little. So it looks wavy across the front of the wreath.
The finishing touch to the wreath is the bow. It is the Metallic Ribbon from the Basket Weave and Metallic Ribbon Combo. And it pairs beautifully with the gorgeous DSP. This is one of my all time favorite DSP. It is the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper.
And here is the inside of the card . This also shows the different fold I mentioned at the beginning. I have made a couple of regular size cards with this fold. (I got the fold from fellow Demonstrator Paula Butler in a beautiful card for a card swap) I just stretched it out quite a bit for this Slim card.
You can see that only the center raises up. To finish the inside I stamped the Mint Macaron Wreath again and then added the sentiment. The sentiment is also from the Banner Year set.
Measurements: This card fits into a regular A10 Envelope
Thick Very Vanilla card stock base is 4 X 8 3/4
Very Vanilla center layer is 4 X 8, scored at 4 and folded
Center DSP is 3 7/8 X 3 7/8
Cinnamon Cider side layers are 3 7/8 X 2 1/8 (need 2)
DSP side layers are 3 3/4 X 2 (need 2)
I could not get the pictures to look as it should. I am still playing with new photography and the Slim Line Cards are an added challenge in this! So I apologize for my larger than necessary watermark.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Candy Ford at Stamp Candy. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!
Thank you for hopping along with us. If you get stuck during the Blog Hop, please use this line-up as a guide:
As I said yesterday, I am sharing a Slim Line Card today. I was late getting on the wagon for these cards, but have made quite a few now. This one is a favorite, as I love the DSP in it. Sadly, this is a DSP that is not included in the sale 🙁 But the paper is wonderful and really shines on the card.
I believe this paper is gorgeous!! It is the Gilded Autumn Designer Series Paper. The gold in the pumpkins really shines. I did not want to cover up that paper, so went with as small of a stamped layer as possible. This is probably a first for me in that I did not add a layer beneath the focal layer! A testament to the beauty of the DSP!
The stamped image is from the Country Home stamp set. I do love this set. The Milk Can and the Pitcher that the different flowers fit on top of are both favorites. They remind me of my younger growing up time. I actually have a milk can that was my Mom’s.
That sweet sentiment is also from the stamp set. I stamped it in the Mossy Meadow that is predominant in the flower arrangement. To finish it off, I added a single Gold Glitter Enamel Dot beneath the sentiment.
Thank you for visiting today. I very much appreciate your support. Monday I will have another new project and hope will you stop by.

I have gotten into the Slim Line cards somewhat. So I have another one to share with you today. For this card I used the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set. I believe this large flower, or any large flower, would be great on the slim line.
I really love how this card turned out! I went a bit bolder with the coloring on the flowers here and I have to say that the picture does not do it justice. I have to work on my photography!.
The sunflowers are stamped with Early Espresso Ink. I then colored the center, which is dark from the Early Espresso, all over with the Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends. I went over the darker areas with the Dark and then all over with the Light. The petals are colored with the Light Cajun Craze for the darker parts, and then Light Mango Melody all over. I was surprised at how well they all worked. It gives a lot more definition using the darker colors. I wanted to try it and it was great. So do not let your doubts stop you. It’s only paper!
The sentiment is from the Gather Together stamp set. I love the saying. I debated on layering the sentiment because of all the white space in the center. But I think the smaller sentiment in there sort of pops.

That is a game changer in both regards. I cannot wait to get my hands on that!
Okay, now about today’s project. The title says it all. I am so Grateful for everything, and card making and the friends I have made are high on the list. This card is a quick and easy one that to me has the perfect sentiment.
I am following the sketch from Case This Sketch #387. I love sketch challenges as the base for my cards. Here is the sketch.
The sentiment layer is from the Celebration Tidings stamp set. It is a photopolymer set so it is very easy to line the pieces up. That layer is three separate stamps. The pieces are colored using Stampin’ Blends.
The background stamps are from the Gather Together stamp set. It was one of the Returning Favorites sets from last year’s holiday catalog. I stamped the pair of pumpkins a couple of times and colored with Stampin’ Blends also. The splatter is out of the same set.
I used Just Jade Stampin’ Blends for most of the leaves. So it was the perfect addition between the two layers of white for the base of the card.
I have listed all of the products at the bottom of the page. Just below here is the extra information regarding the Starer Kit promotion.

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! I hope you are having a good day and a relaxing one. Although I know holidays are not always relaxing. In my work life, I had to work more holidays than I was off so I really enjoy them now.
For today’s project I went a little wild with my turkey! I hope you are awake because this will wake you up for sure.
Did this bright card wake you up or make you scream? LOL!! I colored the turkey before I had decided on anything else for the card. I wanted him to be a bright and cheerful guy, so went with Poppy Parade and Pretty Peacock besides the turkey brown.
I could not find DSP that seemed to fit the turkey until I came across this feather piece from , you guessed it, Come To Gather DSP. I know you think that is the only DSP I own! But when I saw the feathers, I knew this was the perfect piece, plus it was in Pretty Peacock.
The Poppy Parade layers , and all of the layers, were originally going to be normal layout. At the last minute I decided to go wacky with that as well. Sometimes life gets wacky , but I am always still Thankful. That is sort of what this card is about.
The sentiment layer is from the stamp set, but cut with some beautiful dies. The Ornate Frames Dies are from the Spooktacular Bash Bundle in the Holiday Catalog. WOOPEE!!! the dies are going to carry over!! I love when something that is so different and flexible carries over. So you will continue to see these beautiful sentiment backgrounds.
Before I go, please remember that tomorrow is the last day to order the Christmastime Bundle. All of the products in the bundle are shown below and can be reviewed just by clicking on the picture.
Thank you for stopping in today. Please return for another project tomorrow.
REMINDER: The time is running out for the Christmastime Is Here suite of products, which includes the Christmas Rose Bundle. They will be gone after November 30th.
