Today’s card is a fun little gingerbread house. I needed a quick card to get back in the swing of things. And although it has a variety of products, this card was a pretty quick one. The So Very Merry stamp set really is a Fun one to work with.
Stamp Set
There are a variety of products used on this card, but the star is still the So Very Merry stamp set. The images all have the look of stained glass. And since I love to color, this is a good thing. Although I kept the little gingerbread house fairly simple in colors.
It is stamped with Early Espresso Ink for a dark brown base. I then colored it with a variety of brownish Stampin’ Blends. The roof got a bright Yellow and the trim of course is peppermint. All of the Blends are listed in the Supply List at the bottom of the post.
Embossing
There are two different embossing folders used here. That is very unusual for me as I sometimes go a while without using even one. But in being truthful I will say that the second one was because I cut the first one wrong after I had embossed! I am sure I am not the first person to ever do that! LOL!!!
The Christmas Tidings Embossing Folder has great details and is really pretty. It is embossed on a piece of Lemon Lolly. The second folder is from the Online Exclusives Basics Embossing folders trio. I used the Polka Dot one on Real Red card stock.
Punches
The focal point is a simple one with Circle Punches. I began with the 2″ Circle for the gingerbread house. And then the larger circle is the 2 3/8 Circle. There are a variety of dies in sizes that will work and you may have older circles in your supplies.
The final touch is the sentiment. I love this simple and sweet saying. It is punched using the Double Oval Punch. You know that is my favorite and most versatile punch with the two in one!
Finishes
There must be bling! Although this bling is a little different as I made it part of the gingerbread house. I colored the Iridescent Pearls with the Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blend. They are placed on the trees at the front of the house as well as a couple along the roof line. Then two more are on the sentiment layer. Again, bling is never a bad thing!
Thank you for stopping in today. I seem to have been gone a lot lately. Two vacations and just when I thought things were back to normal, a curve ball was thrown. My sweet hubby fell and broke his ankle. And it was a doozy! So he had surgery this past Wednesday and is non weight bearing for six weeks. Needless to say I have been busy taking care of hime and us getting used to his knee scooter and balancing on one leg! However, life happens and I think things are as calm as they are going to be for a bit. I should be back to my regular posting now. Thank you for your following me!!

The cards I have been making are a mix of Seasons, Birthday, and anything else I need. So you are going to be seeing a variety in the coming weeks. The one today is a Christmas card that I surprised myself with.
Stamps
The star of this card is the stamped image. And I am thrilled with how it turned out. The Radiant Light stamp set was one I did not really consider for my list. But something kept drawing me to this image of the candles. I am not an elegant type person, but I simply love this stamp. It is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored with Stampin’ Blends. The color that I feel really helped to make it pop is the touch of Wild Wheat in the greenery and the definition lines on the candles.
The sentiment is from the Radiant Light set as well. And I just realized in looking at the photo that I cut both ends the same angle! LOL!!! I generally try to angle them in opposite directions. Oh well…
Tags
The tags for the focal layer are cut from the Merriest Trees Dies. This tag has become a go to for me since I got it. I cut two for this one to add some of the Cherry Cobbler as a shadow look. But this tag is a perfect size for so many of our images. It is a bit wider than most of the other tags we have.
Colors and Paper
The colors for this card came from the colors I used on the stamped image. After finding the plaid piece from the Joyful Designer Series Paper, I added the Wild Wheat layer. This color seems to be like the old River Rock from a few years ago It can look a little metallic when next to a metallic. I think that is a great added bonus. And it pairs perfectly with the Wild Wheat Ribbon.
The card base is Cherry Cobbler, as is the background tag, the berries in the stamped image, and the sentiment. There looks to be two different greens coloring the greenery. But there is only Shaded Spruce. The fir bows are gone over with the Dark Shaded Spruce and the Black lines seems to make it even darker. And the leaves are colored with Light Shaded Spruce. Plus I added in Wild Wheat for a gold touch in the arrangement. The Bling is a single Gold from Festive Pearls.

The title for this card is very appropriate. It is my version of a Classic Christmas card. And is easy to create with the Christmas Classics Bundle.
Stamp Bundle
The Christmas Classics Bundle is the star of this card. I have been starting my post with paper, but this time the stamp set was the primary starting point. There are several sentiments and a few different greenery pieces in the stamp set. I love the simplicity and old fashioned feel to the Peace on Earth.
The dies in this bundle are fabulous. There are three large sentiment layers as well as smaller ones and greenery too. This large one is my favorite. And the White with the sentiment is a die as well. Of course it fits perfectly into the center. I will say I was pleasantly surprised at how well all of the small pieces came out of this die cut. But I used a piece of variegated DSP to cut so that probably helped.
Papers
The DSP is usually my beginning for a card. This time I had the stamp set and looked for paper that would compliment it. The Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper fit the old fashioned look perfectly! I love the watercolor look of this piece. And the other colors came from this one of course. I only used a 2″ tall piece of the DSP because this card was for my card club and it is a large club. But I do like how the two pieces highlight the focal area.
The second of the front layers is a piece of Real Red the same size as the DSP layer. If you can see the texture on it, I used the crosshatch folder in the 3 Basics Embossing Folders that are in the Online Exclusives. This one is by far my go to for a bit of texture! The extra texture are a trio of Iridescent Rhinestones that I colored with the Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulous weekend.

The card I am sharing today is a really Fun, Fun Fold that is a tri-fold card. Say that a few times! LOL!! I cased this from my sweet friend Julie DiMatteo, The Paper Pixie.
There are two stars of this card. The papers and the stamps are equally wonderful. But the paper is the beginning. It is the Merry Bold & Bright Designer Series Paper. I love that you can see both sides of this great sheet. And actually, that is what you need to make this fun fold is a double sided paper that is complimentary to each other.
The card base is a quarter sheet of Poppy Parade. And it is also the layer behind the front focal area. This paper would allow for any number of different card stock colors as the bases with the brightness of those lights. I love it.
Stamps
This is also a one stamp set card! Those are my favorite and with the number of stamps used, it is surprising. The front tree is my favorite. Using the words to create a tree reminds me of a SU stamp from probably 20 years ago that was a larger version of this. I added the star to insure it was recognized as a tree also.
For the inside I used the stamp that is the “definition” image for the large tree. I thought it was just enough. And what is stamped is not all of the tree, that would be too large for the space to include a written note. The sentiment on the inside is also from the set. Woohoo!
Finishes
The thickness of this card is maybe a bit more that a normal card due to the multiple folds. So I kept the bling to a minimum. However the front tree was crying for some decorations. The problem was solved with the Iridescent Discs. They are flat and similar to sequins with a shine. There are two showing and after the photo I added a third for more symmetry.

Today’s card is a fun Christmas Card starring the Rocky Horse stamp set. An Old Fashioned Christmas warms my heart!
Stamps
The Rocky Horse stamp set is a mix of fun, and retro, little Christmas pieces around the larger Rocky Horse. The sentiment is included in the stamp set and I loved it as soon as I saw it. It was the reason I purchased the bundle. And yes, there is a bundle! I just did not use the dies for this card.
The horse is stamped and then colored with Stampin’ Blends. I left Rocky white more for time than for a white horse. The bow was stamped on scrap Basic White, colored and fussy cut out. It became my “bling” for this card.
Punch
The punch used for the sentiment is a new one in the Online Exclusives. And I really love the shape. It can be used for larger sentiments than most of the punches. This one is the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. It pairs with the Heartfelt Hexagon stamp set as a bundle. They are available now and will be used for the World Card Making Day that is open to everyone and is FREE!!
Papers
The papers I chose for this card were chosen for the “old fashioned” look. So a Crumb Cake base and a touch of red of course. The red became Poppy Parade for a little brighter look. Then the DSP is from the Merry, Bold & Bright Designer Series Paper. I knew the stars were perfect from the beginning. And played perfectly for the old fashioned theme. These colors all are repeated in coloring the horse and the bow. An addition you do not see is on the inside of the card. This card was made for my Stamp Club. After cutting all of the papers I had a couple of small strips of the DSP. So a narrow strip goes across the bottom of the inside White.

The Beary Cute Bundle is a favorite from the Mini Catalog. Those bears are just precious and are so easy to use with a variety of products. Today I have paired it with the tag from Merriest Trees Dies.
Stamp Bundle and Dies
The stamp bundle is the Beary Cute Punch Bundle. The bear is stamped using Smoky Slate Ink and then punched out. There are two other bears but the punch only fits this walking bear. Not only is it a great stamp set, but the punch pairing is a great value as well as makes for easy cards. The sentiment is also from the stamp set.
The tag is from the Merriest Trees Dies. I love the size of the tag. It is similar to the Tailored Design Tags just a big taller and wider than those. And it is a perfect size to fit on a regular size card proportionally.
Papers
There are two different packs of designer paper used on this card. The first is the trees background. It is from the Merry, Bold & Bright Designer Series Paper. And the snow piece the tag is cut from is part of the A Walk In The Forest Designer Series Paper.
The card layers were pulled from the tree paper. The base is Granny Apple Green and the thin layer is Shaded Spruce. They really help the trees to pop from behind the bear and tag. To help ground the sentiment, I used a thin strip of Granny Apple Green behind it and overhanging the tag. This is a little unusual for me, but I love how it worked.
Finishes
To finish the card I added a ribbon using the Parakeet Party Metallic Ribbon as the tag pull. A little metallic shine is perfect as some bling! But there is also a little normal bling. One of the Adhesive Backed Glitter Sequins is adorning the sentiment layer. That pop of blue adds a little more blue than only the tag paper.
Thank you for visiting today!!!
