Candy Cane Christmas

Today’s card is a quick and easy one.  I think it will bring a smile to your face though.  Who doesn’t like Candy Canes at Christmas?  It is part of the tradition.  And I paired this with the Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder.  Oh My!  I do not know why I have not used this previously.  It is so festive.

I was happy with my #SimpleStamping card.  And once again , the photopolymer stamp made the lining up of the candy canes super easy to do.   I borrowed the Merry Christmas from the Host Rewards stamp set Hung With Care.  The two stamps were just perfect and all the card needed.

Thank you for checking on my project today.  I hope you liked it and can use this simple layout for a card of your own.  I hope you will check back on Monday for another project.

Alpine Christmas

I hope you enjoyed yesterday’s InKing Royalty Blog Hop!  I am amazed at the wonderful projects we see each month.  Thank you for Hopping Along with us.

For today’s card, I am back to Christmas.  I love the rustic, country, warm and cozy feeling this card gives me.  Hopefully you will get some of those feelings as well.  It reminds me of childhood Christmas cards.

The Alpine Adventure has matching dies, but I did not use them on this card.  I was going for a more simple look.  I did add the Corrugated Embossing Folder, a 2″ piece, behind my sled of gifts.  And please forgive my bells attached to the sentiment.  They did not show up very well, so I went over them with the Black Stampin’ Write Marker.  Now they almost show up too much!  I never know when to leave it well enough alone.

The Alpine stamp set is photopolymer which made the lining up of the gifts on the sled super easy.  And what’s not to love about the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper.  That plaid is perfect for so many projects.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I really appreciate it.  Please come back tomorrow for another new project.

Merry Christmas To All

First let me highlight the Extravaganza Sale!  Today begins the Tools and Inks portion.  Now is the great time to stock up on Ink Pads, Marker, Stampin’ Blends, as well as trimmer blades, a new trimmer, or one of my favorite- the Simply Scored!!  Click Here for today’s link.

Ok, now to today’s gorgeous card.  This is a fun card to make because it involves embossing!  I know some of you may be a bit intimidated by embossing.  I know I was in the beginning.  Trust me, the more you do it, the more comfortable you become.  Just always remember your Embossing Buddy.  It is named that for a reason!!  And I always keep a small little detail paint brush around as well.

Stampin' Up!, Merry Christmas To All, Farmhouse DSP, Layering Ovals, Banner Triple Punch, Jackie Beers

Merry Christmas To All, 147702

I love the simple elegance of this card.  And thankfully the gold foil does the work to make it elegant, because I definitely am not!!  Besides the gold foil, the Festive Farmhouse DSP is perfect to pair with the Mossy Meadow and Cherry Cobbler colors.

I cut out the sentiment with  the layering ovals dies for a different shape on the card.  The foil is cut with the Banner Triple Punch.  And that is all it took.  I love simple!!

Thank you for stopping by today.  I greatly appreciate it.  Please come back tomorrow for the December InKing Royalty Blog Hop!  You will find a lot of inspirations from my fellow Royals.

Poinsettia Christmas

Today’s card is using one of my favorite stamp sets from the Holiday Catalog.  I have used it several times and have mentioned that I feel it is a “sleeper” set.  Have you figured out which set it is?  It is the Timeless Tidings set.  I do not see very many cards made with this set.  For the price point, I think it should be snatched up quickly!!

Timeless Tidings, 148936

This is another quick and easy card.  I have made a few for my Christmas Card stash and just colored them while I watch television at night.

The base is the Thick Whisper White card stock and then layers to show off the beautiful DSP.  I stamped the flower and mistletoe with Memento Tuxedo Ink and then colored them with Stampin’ Blends in Shaded Spruce, Cherry Cobbler, and Daffodil Delight.  The sentiment is stamped in Shaded Spruce.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you have all of your Thanksgiving plans near completion so you can enjoy your day.  I will have a quick card you can peruse over our morning caffeine. 🙂

Be Jolly for GDP165

I have another of the adorable snowmen for the Global Design Project color challenge.  The challenge is for Merry Merlot, Tranquil Tide , and Crumb Cake.  Well who would not love that mix of colors????  I use them regularly.  And especially with the Joyous Noel Designer Series Paper.  So here is my Jolly Snowman.

Stampin' Up!, Spirited Snowmen, Candy Cane Season, Jackie Beers

My card is one that any level stamper could quickly duplicate.  I stamped the snowman with Memento Tuxedo Ink and then colored him with the above colors.  The only addition is Pumpkin Pie for his nose and pool party to give some depth to his “snow”.  A little swipe is all it takes for that.

The gorgeous ribbon is the reversible Merry Merlot / Copper ribbon in the Holiday Catalog.  It is so pretty. I did twist the ribbon in making the knot so that only the Merlot side showed.  I then adhered the sentiment with a row of glue dots.  As I said, easy peasy!!!

Thank you for visiting today!  I greatly appreciate it.  I hope you will return tomorrow for another quick and easy project.

Beach Santa

I had intended to do more Thanksgiving cards this week.  But you know how intentions are…….so there is a Beachy Christmas card instead.  Everyone knows Santa needs a vacation too.

Before you see today’s card, please don’t leave without going to the bottom of my post.  There are a couple of exciting new products that you  might not have seen previously.  They were announced at OnStage and this is the first time I am sharing some of them.

But now for Santa!!

So Santa, 147821

I just picture this is Santa taking a break before getting ready for the rush of delivering gifts.  I purposely did not use Christmas DSP or colors.  Instead I paired Santa with Tropical Escape Designer Series Paper, one of the 6 X 6 paper stacks.  I also colored his trunks and board in wild colors as well.  He is definitely on Vacation!

New items:

  • The new items further down are the Stamparatus Carry Bag, which I cannot wait to get in my hands!!
  • The debut of the NEW Cling stamps:  It may be a sad day for some of you.  Stampin’ Up! is retiring the Wood mount stamps.  There will only be Cling and Photopolymer.  The Cling may look the same but are 50 times more sticky.  In fact, you need to be careful when taking the stamp off of the clear block so you do not rip the foam.  These are going to stick even here in the high humidity of the South! Check out the video by clicking on the words above the picture.
  • Stamparatus accessories, which are not totally new, just I have not really focused on them.

Thank you so much for visiting with me today.  I hope you enjoyed today’s card and will return tomorrow for another new project.
