Little Treats Holiday

I hope the new OnLine Store went well for you yesterday!!  I know there were a few issues and getting used to all the new features.  So far I really love it.  Especially the Wish Lists.  If you want to give a family member or friend some gift ideas for you, share your Wish List with them.  Be sure to give them my information as well!  They can order on Line or through me.  While we are on the subject, I can do Gift Certificates as well.  The holidays are right around the corner!!

Today I have a cute and fairly quick little Christmas Card.  I love smaller size stamps and this card is one of the reasons why.

I paired the cute little stamps from the Little Treats stamp set and some of the gorgeous paper from Tis The Season Designer Series Paper.  I stamped using Cherry Cobbler Ink and Shaded Spruce Ink.  I cut the images using the Layering Squares Dies.  I used the 2nd smallest for the stamped pieces.  The scalloped layer is the 4th smallest of the scalloped ones.

The sentiment is from the Merry Moose stamp set.  I stamped it using Memento Tuxedo Black to help it stand out somewhat.   I love the smaller font,  And it fits perfectly in the open area at the bottom.  Merry Moose is another of the Returning Favorites from last Holiday Catalog.  There are several!

As a finishing touch, I added a bit of Wink of Stella to the santa hat and the package.  I also added some Red Rhinestones to the sentiment and the candy pieces.

Measurements:

  • Cherry Cobbler base card is 5 1/2 X 8 1/2
  • Whisper White is 5 1/4 X 4
  • DSP is 5 1/4 X 2 1/2

Thank you for stopping by today.  If you have any questions about the card, or the new On Line Store, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

Evergreen Plaid

Today is the launch of the Mini Catalog, as well as the launch of the new On Line Store!!  Two great things at once.  I hope you will check out the store and see all of the new looks and features.  And you can do that without placing an order.  One of the new features that I love is that you do not lose your shopping cart items if you log out before purchasing.  Next time you log in, they will still be there!!

I am mixing a carry over favorite with some new products today.  I fell in love last year with the Perfectly Plaid Bundle.  The little Christmas Trees with matching punch.  I was thrilled when it carried over to the Annual Catalog, and am so happy to break it out again.

As I said above, I mixed several products today.  The first is the Perfectly Plaid stamp set and Pine Tree punch.  I stamped the plaid tree three times using Shaded Spruce Ink and punched them out with the matching punch.  I then scored each one down the middle, burnished and then glued them together.

The background for the trees is the new Balmy Blue Glitter paper.  It reminds me of a bright winter night here.  I cut a piece that is square and a bit larger than the die cut circle.  I will say that glue and regular adhesive do not work very well for the glitter paper.  Since I wanted it to be raised anyway, to give some depth for the trees, I used the Foam Adhesive Strips around the edges of the glimmer paper.

The front panel is Just Jade Card Stock.  I die cut the circle first using the Layering Circles Dies.  I used the 4th smallest scalloped circle.  After cutting the circle, I embossed the panel with the new Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder.  I believe it may show better in landscape mode, but that was not my layout.  It still works here.

To adhere the trees to the Glimmer paper, I used glue dots.  I wanted to make sure it would hold and the glue just didn’t seem to want to set.  I added about 4 of them for security!  The finishing touch to this forest of trees is the banner.  The sentiment is from the Festive Post stamp set.  And it is cut using the banner die from Tasteful Labels Dies. I added one of the 2020-2022 In Color Enamel Dots for a bit of bling.  I didn’t want it to conflict with the glitter paper, so went with the Just Jade dot instead of a rhinestone.

Thank you for stopping in today.  I hope you like today’s creation.  And please let me know if I can assist you with your next order.

Festive Post

I have been really enjoying my pre-order from the upcoming Mini Catalog.  You do not have much longer to wait.  It goes live on August 4th!  I love all of the products but especially the Christmas sets.  However, I didn’t really want to get into Christmas cards this soon, but I thought of some that are fairly quick for classes.  Here is one that I was thrilled with the finished product.  I made it with my Stamp Club last week so thought I would share it with you.

For me, this is a very “clean” card.  I tend to add extra “stuff” to get it just right.  But in making this one, I could not think of anything that would improve on it. And I have to say I like the idea of this as a multiples card.

I used Thick Whisper White as the base, with a layer of regular Whisper White.  The postage seal is stamped in Crushed Curry Ink.  I stamped it first and then added the strip of DSP.  The DSP is from the Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper.  I have already used almost a complete pack of this paper!!  The sheets are all gorgeous.

The deer is stamped in Crushed Curry Ink also on a scrap of Whisper White.  It is cut using the Rectangular Postage Punch.  The punch is available now in the annual catalog.  It is part of a bundle with the Posted For You stamp set.  And then it pairs with this stamp set, the Festive Post from the upcoming Mini Catalog.  I truly LOVE when Stampin’ Up! matches dies and punches to more than one stamp set.

The Real Red Ribbon is a carryover and is Real Red Double Stitched Satin Ribbon.  It is just layered over the DSP like a ribbon on a package.  The deer is layered on another piece of the same DSP pack and added with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Measurements:

  • 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 of Thick Whisper White
  • 5 1/4 X 4 of Whisper White
  • 5 1/4 X 2 of DSP
  • 2 1/8 X 1 1/2 of DSP
  • scrap of Whisper White to punch

Thank you for stopping in today.  I love quick and easy cards and I hope you do as well.

Hugs for InKing Royalty July Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s July Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are enjoying a year of celebrations. This month’s projects celebrate Christmas in July. Demonstrators have been able to order new products from the upcoming August-December Mini Catalog, so prepare yourself for a gorgeous mix of new products, products available in the Annual Catalog and returning favorites. What fun! We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

Christmas is my favorite time of year, so I was so excited to make my first Christmas card of the year for today’s hop.  I have meshed a couple of items together for this project.  They are from the annual catalog and the upcoming mini catalog.

Stampin' Up!, Warm Hugs, Wreath Builder, Jackie Beers

I decided on a wreath since that is usually the first piece of Christmas decorations that I put up.  I used the two different wreath dies out of the Wreath Builder Dies for my base.  I love the fuller look, as well as the two different textures you get from these dies.

For my decorations, I took the little trees from the Warm Hugs Bundle.  I thought they were just the perfect size.  There are Christmas decorations in the Wreath Builder bundle, but I went with the Warm Hugs, from the upcoming Mini catalog, for the rest of the layers.  The trees are stamped on Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper and die cut.  I added stars from the All The Trimmings Embellishments to each tree.

The center of the wreath is from the Warm Hugs Bundle.  The Daffodil Delight , which you cannot see very well, has a stitched border close to the edge.  It is layered with the cute sentiment, which is a favorite of mine.  I just love HUGS!!!  The heart is also from the dies and is cut from the same paper as the trees.

The background of my card is also from the Heartwarming Hugs DSP pack.  There are really gorgeous patterns in that pack of paper.  To finish off my card I made a double bow out of the Red Braided Linen Trim.  I realize it looks like I didn’t turn the sentiment properly since the dots are not even.  But I did that on purpose.  It may not be how it’s supposed to look, but I wanted the “Warm Hugs” to be the first thing someone sees!!  I hope you will let me know what you think of these wonderful new products.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Sheryl Sharp at Sharp Notes by Sheryl. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!

Merry Christmas To You

Merry Christmas to all of you!!  I hope this day brings you happiness and love with family and friends.  Today I am sharing the main Christmas card I sent out.  I ran out towards the end of my list, Ooops!!  I definitely miss counted.  So the last ones were some I have been blogging with.

I used the Christmas Gleaming Stamp set along with the Christmastime Is Here Designer Series paper.  The paper is all from the one pack.  I stamped the Holly and colored it with stampin’ blends, and used it as a hanger for the ornament.  The holly and the sentiment are the only stamping on the front of the card.

I wish you all great joy on this wonderful holiday!

Nature’s Christmas

I am giving one last love, probably, to Nature’s Beauty stamp set.  I said probably because I may use it again as just a winter time card.  I love the animals and the background I envision with them.

As with most of my cards, this did not end up the way I intended when I began.  But I am okay with that.  I started with the stamp set and saw the negative of the Stitched Nested Labels Dies from the challenge card the other day.  That gave me the idea for sponging that I have not done in some time.

I used Pool Party and Balmy Blue for my background sponging but they did not show up very well.  I wanted light, but this was too light.  So I decided to give it a border.  I first used the Journaling Pens on page 170 of the Annual Catalog.  With the negative still in place, I just drew around the inside.  I was a bit off, the negative slipped, but that is okay as well.

The journaling pens gave the look I wanted, but it still needed something.  I decided this leaf would work perfectly.  Sort of like the old pictures you see draped in pine boughs.

I hope this gives you some ideas for all of the negatives I am sure you have from using your die shapes.  Thank you for stopping in today.  Merry Christmas Eve!!
