I love coloring of any kind. So today I have sponging color to share. It takes longer, and for me doesn’t always end up what I intended. I still enjoy doing it.
This stamp is from the Everything Essential stamp set. (It comes also as a bundle with a tag punch.) The stamp set contains stamps for the next few holidays. And they are all “tag size” , and super cute!! It’s a great versatile set. I already had this die cut piece on my desk, so opted to use it. The die cut layer is from Painted Labels.
I used sponges to color the tag with Crushed Curry and Smoky Slate Inks. I used the Crushed Curry for that eerie glow of the moon look. The image is stamped with Blackberry Bliss Ink.
The DSP is from the Magic In This Night Designer Series paper. I really dislike spiders!!!! But I loved the piece of paper. 🙂 It is layered over Smoky Slate card stock and then Blackberry Bliss card stock as the base.
The perfect finishing touch for this little 4X4 card is the ribbon. It is the Metallic Mesh Ribbon. It is gorgeous!! It is about 2″ wide but extremely easy to work with. It is very soft, so it gathers very well. And it makes beautiful bows!
We will have to wait and see what form Halloween and Trick or Treating takes in this crazy year we have going on. In the meantime, Thank You for stopping by today. I very much appreciate it. All of the supplies I used are at the bottom of the post below the month’s Host Code

I have been playing with new sets from the Mini Catalog today and considering all of the upcoming holidays. I decided to give a nod to Halloween for this post. I am not a Scary Halloween person. I want the smiles and of course the candy!
This adorable stamp is from the Festive Post stamp set. I have used this set previously, as well as the Posted With Love set from the Annual Catalog. Both of these are fast becoming favorites.
The DSP is from the Magic In This Night Designer Series Paper. It is so pretty! I was very pleased to see Pretty Peacock, Blackberry Bliss and Cajun Craze paired with the Black in the pack of DSP. This is probably my favorite sheet from the pack. Pretty Peacock pairs well with so many colors that I was not afraid to pair it with Crumb Cake. I needed that color for the witch’s brooms.
The Tag is cut using the Fancy Tag Punch. Since this tag can be as long as you need it to be, I cut a 2″ strip, stamped and then decided where to cut the bottom length. I love that. The ribbon is the Pretty Peacock Scallop Linen Ribbon that carried over from the last Annual Catalog. I knew I wanted something on the bottom of the tag and could not decide. So I went ahead with the tie for the top while I was thinking on what would work. When I noticed the back side of the ribbon was solid linen colored, I had found my answer. I just cut a piece to 2″ and glued it to the bottom of the tag with the linen only side showing. A happy find!!
Thank you for stopping by today. This is a quick and cute card, My Favorite!!!

I had to make a Halloween card for my Trick or Treat friends. I also tried a different layout that I really love and will definitely be giving it a go with other seasonal designs soon.
I used three different pieces of the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper for this layout. The star of the card though is the adorable tags. They are from the Tags, Tags, Tags stamp set. There are three tags for Halloween, three tags for Christmas, and three tags for Valentine. The stamp is connected so it stamps all three at one time. Then the matching dies cut all three tags at once. What a deal!!
Here is a view of the inside of the card:
On the left side is the third of the tags. The Whisper White sentiment layer is hidden from view by the front square. I made it a smidgen smaller so it is easier to hide. The sentiment is from the Spooktacular Bash Stamp set. It has such cute sentiments.
Measurements:
5 3/4 X 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4
inside layer is 5 3/8 X 4 1/8
inside DSP is 5 1/4 X 4
front left layer is 5 3/8 X 1 3/8
front DSP is 5 1/4 X 1 1/4
front center layer is 3 1/4 X 3 1/4
front DSP is 3 1/8 X 3 1/8
inside center is 3 X 3

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s October Blog Hop! This year’s Blog Hop themes are inspired by a single word – and this month our projects are centered around SPOOKY. With Halloween just around the corner, we are excited to share our spooky, fun projects with our neighbors, coworkers and family – and we’re excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
The title of the Hop is also the title of my card. That said, I do not do SCARY or SPOOKY!! In my old age, I prefer cute and funny. Do Not expect to be scared from my card. I hope you will smile at the cuteness of this little fellow.
I hope you are not afraid of Black Cats! I love them and have had at least one for over 30 years. Not the same one!! I stamped this guy from the Nine Lives stamp set in Versamark Ink on Basic Black card stock and embossed using the Shimmer Black Glitter.
The pumpkins are from the Harvest Hellos Bundle. They are stamped with Pumpkin Pie Ink on Mango Melody card stock. The faces are stamped in Cajun Craze with some Clear Wink of Stella to give some shimmer.
I paired two of the sheets of DSP from the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper. The sentiment is from the Spooktacular stamp set and is die cut using the matching dies in the Bundle. I added some of the Googly Eyes for the “O” in the Spooky. I have some of the moon shimmer showing from beneath the sentiment. I added a moon, but then the sentiment covered most of it. It is not a booboo , just miscalculation ! I had to add a touch more shimmer and shine, so I added the Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon and tied a simple knot.
I have the measurements after the line up if you are looking for them.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Sheryl Abernathy at Elegant Sentiments. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!
Thank you for hopping along with us. If you get stuck during the Blog Hop, please use this line-up as a guide:

I don’t have any little ones to share Halloween with, but it doesn’t stop me from wanting to make cards and treat holders. Today I am using one of the really flexible stamp sets for a Halloween card.
The stamp set Birds of A Feather are a group of funny birds that covers most of the Fall and Winter Holidays. I love it! For this card, I paired it with the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper. The paper is a bit more spooky than the Trick or Treating duck.
The sentiment on the cute little tag is from the same set. The tag itself is from the Mini Curvy Keepsake dies. I embossed the sentiment with the Shimmer Black Embossing Powder to give it a little more shine and bling. It is paired with the lovely Black Glitter Organdy Ribbon. The ribbon was a carryover from last year, and I use it all the time. Black and glitter are like the perfect LBD!
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you like this not spooky Halloween card.

The card I have today reminds me of a Harry Potter type card. I recently re-read all of the books and have had it on my mind I suppose. Let me know what you think.
I love books, so when I saw this sheet of the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper, I knew I had to use it first! It reminds me of all the books in the Harry Potter series.
This is a quick and easy card that would be very easy to duplicate in multiples. Although I think it needs a touch of something additional, I cannot think what it is. I used the Burlap Ribbon to ground the sentiment. A dark background for the sentiment would work as well.
The shape of the sentiment is one of the dies from the bundle. I really love the dies and their unusual shapes. They would be wonderful to have year round!!
My color choices came directly from the DSP. I chose Terracotta Tile and Soft Suede. I like the books being the statement piece. Of course the sentiment is a statement too 🙂
Thank you for visiting today! Please come back tomorrow for another new project!
