Today’s Fun Fold is more of a Double Card plus a bit more! It is very flexible and can be utilized as a gift card holder as well as a regular card. And with that confusing beginning, here is my card.
The Star is the Paper
There are more pictures to show the various parts of the card. But I wanted to show how pretty this Storybook Gnomes Designer Series Paper is. There are two layers of the DSP used here on the front. Actually there is no stamping required here at all. Simply use two complimentary papers and some pretty ribbon.
Gift Card holder
Here is a view of the small card on the front open to reveal a gift card. The ribbon tied around this section ensures the card will not accidentally fall out. If you do not want to include a gift card, a little piece of cardstock with a second sentiment would work perfectly.
Inside View
This inside sentiment and the cute little gnome is the only stamping I have on this card. I love the gnomes and colored him to match the paper on front of the small card. Also, the matching dies to the Kindest Gnomes Bundle will cut a little gnome from the DSP if you would rather go that direction.
Directions
The card base of Coastal Cabana is cut to 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4. The small card is 7 1/2 X 3 3/4 and scored at 2 1/2 and 5. At the 5″ score line, cut from the top of the score line down to the bottom right corner. When folded in, this makes the pocket. Apply Tear & Tape to only the bottom of that angle to finish the pocket.
The Pale Papaya large layer is 4 X 5 1/4 with the DSP cut to 3 7/8 X 5 1/8. And the small Pale Papaya is cut to 2 1/4 X 3 1/2. For the small DSP layer I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to add a little extra to the cute gnomes. Prior to adhering the small card to the center front of the large card, add the length of ribbon behind it. Tip: Go ahead and tie the bow to ensure you have enough ribbon.

Stamps
The Jar of Flowers stamp set is one that I have neglected lately. And it is one that I do Love! The various uses for the jar are many, but I particularly love the different bouquets that can be added. For this card I chose the sunflowers. They seem to be a Fall flower for me. Plus I love the purple flowers for a bit more Fall look.
To help cover the joining of the flowers to the jar, I added a single, small sunflower. A second one is added down on the sentiment. These are from the Hello Harvest stamp set and are simply fussy cut and added with a glue dot. The one on the sentiment seems to be the perfect embellishment, which surprised me!
Paper and Ink
With knowing I was using Fall colors for the flowers, I wanted to tie in the blue of the jar in the paper choice. So I went with Bermuda Bay. The outline of the jar is Bermuda Bay with Pool Party as the inside water. But the star of this card is the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper. Not only is it beautiful on it’s own, but it seems to draw the color from the sunflowers also. And I used a little scrap leftover piece behind the sentiment. It can be difficult to use pretty DSP for so little to show, but this tiny sentiment really did not put a dent in my leftovers of this great paper.

Making a special masculine card can be a little difficult. Today’s card accomplishes this with the He’s All That Suite of products.
Stamps and Dies
This card was for our anniversary. It is fairly simple, but has some fun elements and the sentiment is spot on for us. The He’s All That Bundle has some great masculine sentiments and some fun shapes to Die cut them. The dies are the All That Dies. This shape for the sentiment reminds me of the old fashioned Blue Ribbon award. So finishing it with the Faux Suede Ribbon was perfect.
Papers
The He’s The Man Designer Series Paper has quite a different range of paper. There are cars, camping, trees, and then more neutral prints. This card includes cars and a neutral. Using this layout is a great way to use less of one DSP piece, And by using little strips for the under piece, you can use up all your scraps. My paper packs end up with a lot of similar size pieces that I cannot bare to throw away. This section is finished with a trio of the Rustic Metal Dots.

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s September Blog Hop! This month’s blog hop is dedicated to leaves. As the weather begins to cool, the leaves begin to change colors and fall from the trees. We are excited to share our creations and hope you love them! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
My Leaves
After beginning about three times I am happy to share with you my interpretation of the Leaves theme. My version uses the Season of Chic Suite and a few other great products.
Leaves
There are two different products for my leaves. The first is the Leaf Fall Embossing Folder on the background. This embossing folder has really great texture and the leaves sort of “fall” across the card. Mine are embellished a bit with some Wink of Stella. Sadly it does not show up very well in the photo.
The second set of “Leaves” are from the Season of Chic Bundle and Dies. There are three different leaf dies used and are cut from the Texture Chic Designer Series Paper.
Layers
To complete the layers, I have the texture piece from the Season of Chic Dies. It also is cut from a different piece of the Texture Chic Designer Series Paper. This piece of DSP ties all of the colors used together. And the final layer is for the sentiment. The Thinking of You is from the same stamp set. It is stamped using Early Espresso onto Petal Pink card stock. For a final touch it has the addition of a single gold Pearl from Festive Pearls embellishments.

Today’s card has a touch of whimsey to help bring in Christmas Cheer. A mix of fun paper and stamps is a reason for cheer.
Paper
This sweet piece of DSP is what gave me the idea for this card. It is from the Santa Express Designer Series Paper. And one sheet has four rows across of this scene. So you can cut it into strips and then the width you want to use. This piece is cut to 4 X 3. So I can get 12 of these from one sheet of the DSP.
The bright colors of the DSP are also perfect for the Cheer of the card. Personally I love bright colors. And Granny Apple Green is one of my favorites. It is paired with Real Red for a bright and happy card.
Stamps and Dies
The large candy cane was chosen because of the candy cane in the DSP. As I said, the DSP created this card! The Sweet Candy Cane Bundle was one of my first purchases from the Mini Catalog. The example in the catalog of this tag used on a real candy cane is what sold me. And the sweet sentiments are all lovely. Plus you get two candy cane stamps and both have matching dies. You can cross the candy canes or have the direction you want for your project.
Finishes
The Real Red Ribbon on the tag serves two purposes. It holds the tag, but also breaks up the Granny Apple Green. And the Festive Pearls is never wrong for a touch of bling. The touch of the green leaf on the tag was added to tie in the Shaded Spruce of the DSP. And to give a little more color to the tag. That leaf and the sentiment with Mistletoe Kisses are used on the inside of the card.

Today’s card stars the Rustic Harvest Designer Series paper. The gorgeous flowers and colors are a perfect fit to this time of year.
Paper
The gorgeous Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper is so pretty. These colors are perfect for Fall but would work any time of year. One of my club ladies commented that she is never sure of the best way to use this type of paper when there is solid space. This layout seems to fit that question perfectly. Plus you can get more cards from one sheet of paper when not using nearly as large of a piece of it.
All of the colors used are pulled from this piece of DSP. Merry Merlot is the card base color and not one I seem to use very often. The Merry Merlot needed a warm and royal color to accompany it so I went with Mossy Meadow. And surprisingly the large White layer fits well. Maybe it is by pulling the white from the flowers in the DSP.
Stamps
Sentiments with different fonts are a definite favorite of mine. The Biggest Wish stamp set is unique in my opinion. It has the large and bold words, like the Happy, and then the same in the smaller cursive like the birthday. It is a perfect mix and match type set with all of the most used sentiments.
Due to the fairly large open White section on the right of the sentiment layer, I knew something was needed there. The small bunch of flowers came from the Happiness Abounds stamp set. They are a different flower from the DSP but are colored the same. And since they are not adjacent to the DSP it works fine. To add a bit of bling I went with a few of the Elegant Gems as a finishing touch.
