The cards I have been making are a mix of Seasons, Birthday, and anything else I need. So you are going to be seeing a variety in the coming weeks. The one today is a Christmas card that I surprised myself with.
Stamps
The star of this card is the stamped image. And I am thrilled with how it turned out. The Radiant Light stamp set was one I did not really consider for my list. But something kept drawing me to this image of the candles. I am not an elegant type person, but I simply love this stamp. It is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored with Stampin’ Blends. The color that I feel really helped to make it pop is the touch of Wild Wheat in the greenery and the definition lines on the candles.
The sentiment is from the Radiant Light set as well. And I just realized in looking at the photo that I cut both ends the same angle! LOL!!! I generally try to angle them in opposite directions. Oh well…
Tags
The tags for the focal layer are cut from the Merriest Trees Dies. This tag has become a go to for me since I got it. I cut two for this one to add some of the Cherry Cobbler as a shadow look. But this tag is a perfect size for so many of our images. It is a bit wider than most of the other tags we have.
Colors and Paper
The colors for this card came from the colors I used on the stamped image. After finding the plaid piece from the Joyful Designer Series Paper, I added the Wild Wheat layer. This color seems to be like the old River Rock from a few years ago It can look a little metallic when next to a metallic. I think that is a great added bonus. And it pairs perfectly with the Wild Wheat Ribbon.
The card base is Cherry Cobbler, as is the background tag, the berries in the stamped image, and the sentiment. There looks to be two different greens coloring the greenery. But there is only Shaded Spruce. The fir bows are gone over with the Dark Shaded Spruce and the Black lines seems to make it even darker. And the leaves are colored with Light Shaded Spruce. Plus I added in Wild Wheat for a gold touch in the arrangement. The Bling is a single Gold from Festive Pearls.

The Trucking Along Bundle is back in stock and waiting for many awesome cards to be made with it! I have used it today, along with some other layering products for a cute Thank You card. We can never have enough of these around.
Stamps
This card seems to have more individual products than I have used in quite a long time. But the star of the show is the Trucking Along little truck. I do love this truck! It is so versatile, not only in adding the Punch with it, but everything else that is in the stamp set. And please don’t laugh at me, or with me, but I did not use the punch! I stamped the truck and the sunflowers in the bed and was so happy how I perfectly placed the flowers. Then I realized when I punched the truck the flowers would be gone! DUH!!!! So out came the paper snips and it was an easy fussy cutting instead of punching.
The sentiment is not from the Trucking Along. Everything else is however. The sentiment is from the Wildlife Wonder stamp set. I just loved the mixed fonts of this one. The sentiment is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and the truck is stamped with Pretty Peacock. The color of the truck is a stamped off Pretty Peacock also. The splotchy color goes well with the “old farm truck” look I wanted.
Papers
The card was intended to be pretty simple. That did not last long at all though! But I did begin with a Thick Very Vanilla card stock for the base and then a thin layer of Pretty Peacock. The DSP at the bottom was another piece that just seemed to have the patina of the “old farm truck” and fit the sunflowers as well as the Pretty Peacock color. It is from the Oxidized Copper Specialty Designer Series Paper. The largest circle is also Pretty Peacock card stock for a bold backdrop of the truck.
Extra Products
There are several “extras” on this card. First is the background of Very Vanilla that has been embossed using the Twisted Rope Embossing Folder. It may be a little difficult to see in the photo. But this is a very detailed embossing folder. The next are the circles. These are cut using the Deckled Circles Dies. There are a lot of dies in this Die set. The ones I used are the 2nd and 7th going up from smallest.
The other products are more finishing touches to the card. First is the Natural Wavy Trim across the bottom of the DSP layer. With all of the various extras raised with Stampin’ Dimensionals, I wanted something to sort of ground that piece of DSP. The wavy trim fit perfectly. And to finish the card I went for more masculine bling! I used the Brushed Metallic Dots in a copper color. There are a couple of different metallic colors in this collection of dots.

The fun Curved Occasions stamp set is a unique mix of images and sentiments. I have used it today to create a birthday card with Vintage items. That sounds so much better than Old!!!
Stamp Set
The Curved Occasions set has this cute little VW Bug convertible. Anyone of my age group loved those cars. So it had to be the star of this card. And the disco ball, that’s just a given! LOL!!! I wanted to use the roller skate because I actually roller skated competitively in my early days. It would have been a great pairing of transportation from the time. 🙂 But the person the card is for did not skate, so the disco ball gets to be the second piece of nostalgia.
The little bug is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored with a variety of Stampin’ Blends. And the disco ball is stamped with Smoky Slate. It is a littler duller than the flashy original balls but that was the best I could do. And again, this is a one stamp set card!
Papers
The papers used were blues to go along with the color of the bug. I found this perfect DSP in the Stargazing Designer Series Papers. It is the reverse side of one of the galaxy looking sheets. The brightness of the Azure Afternoon stars was a perfect match. And pairing it with the Azure Afternoon card base tied everything together. Of course I had to add just the thin layer of Basic White to separate the blues as well as help the focal White layer blend in.

The title for this card is very appropriate. It is my version of a Classic Christmas card. And is easy to create with the Christmas Classics Bundle.
Stamp Bundle
The Christmas Classics Bundle is the star of this card. I have been starting my post with paper, but this time the stamp set was the primary starting point. There are several sentiments and a few different greenery pieces in the stamp set. I love the simplicity and old fashioned feel to the Peace on Earth.
The dies in this bundle are fabulous. There are three large sentiment layers as well as smaller ones and greenery too. This large one is my favorite. And the White with the sentiment is a die as well. Of course it fits perfectly into the center. I will say I was pleasantly surprised at how well all of the small pieces came out of this die cut. But I used a piece of variegated DSP to cut so that probably helped.
Papers
The DSP is usually my beginning for a card. This time I had the stamp set and looked for paper that would compliment it. The Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper fit the old fashioned look perfectly! I love the watercolor look of this piece. And the other colors came from this one of course. I only used a 2″ tall piece of the DSP because this card was for my card club and it is a large club. But I do like how the two pieces highlight the focal area.
The second of the front layers is a piece of Real Red the same size as the DSP layer. If you can see the texture on it, I used the crosshatch folder in the 3 Basics Embossing Folders that are in the Online Exclusives. This one is by far my go to for a bit of texture! The extra texture are a trio of Iridescent Rhinestones that I colored with the Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you have a fabulous weekend.

Todays card is a break from Christmas cards and back to birthdays. This one has a mix of products that I hope you will like. Most are from the Modern Garden Suite.
Papers
The paper is where the color choices were chosen from so starting there is a good point. The two pieces you see of DSP, the left side and the area behind the sentiment, are from the Garden Walk Designer Series Paper. Actually they are opposite sides of one piece of the paper. And did you notice the torn edge? That is something I have not done in forever. Another old technique that is always in style!
The card base is pulled form the DSP and is Poppy Parade. And even though I know that blue flowers are very rare, I had to pull the Boho Blue from the paper for the thin layer as well as a few flowers. The boughs behind the sentiment are punched from Pretty Peacock card stock. **The Bough Punch is back in stock as of yesterday!!!!
Stamp Bundle
This stamp set is a Punch Bundle and I love it. There are several different sentiments and flowers, even a poinsettia. It is the Modern Garden Bundle. And the Punch is the Modern Oval Punch. It is a great size for medium to larger sentiments. All of the floral stamps I used, and I used several, are in the stamp set. I could have gone a bit overboard, but just loved trying the different ones and adding colors from the DSP piece. The flowers on the sentiment layer are probably supposed to be definitions for the larger flowers. But I thought they were cute enough to be their own flower.
Finishes
To complete the card I need bling of course. But first I added some loops of the White Iridescent Ribbon under the sentiment layer. It does not show up well in the photo but does add texture in person. And the final touch is the addition of the Adhesive Backed Sequin Trio. There are more than my normal three here. I added one to the center of each stamped flower! This is a happy birthday card after all.
