  • The November 11th Onstage @ Home registration will be included at no cost.  The cost  for this is $77.00.  You get it as an added Bonus!
  • Shipping is Free!!!  Shipping on the Starter Kit is free.  (not future orders)  That is almost $20.00 you are saving.

  • Join my Blue Star Team, and the InKing Royalty Team.
  • The opportunity to Pre-order in December from the January Mini Catalog before it goes live.

Thank You Card Clutch

Today’s project is a partner to yesterday’s Thank You cards.  I love the different 3D projects my friend, and fellow demonstrator, Julie DiMatteo makes.  She had made a little clutch that held a variety of things.  I decided to use that to hold my cards.  And it is large enough to add some extra items as well.  The clutch stars the Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper.  It also emphasizes the beautiful Wanted To Say Dies.

Stampin' Up!, Fresh As A Daisy, Nested Essentials, Wanted To Say, Lasting Label Punch, Jackie Beers

The Clutch

This is a really simple and quick project with some simple score lines.  Julie is a master at these type projects.  So instead of me trying to explain the procedure to you.  Here is a link to her tutorial.  Click Here

Decorations

To decorate the clutch, I used the Lasting Label Punch for the clasp.  It is folded over the top and adhered to the front with a velcro dot.  The little wooden heart button is from my Stampin’ Up! stash.  I had actually written on the top of the little round container the date.  It is from a 2017 Mini Catalog!  I really do need to clean out my stash!!!

Dies

There are two different Die sets used for this pretty sentiment on the clutch.  The background is one of the Nested Essentials Dies.  I love these shapes and the various sizes.  And that they work wonderfully wether placed vertical or horizontally.

The second Die set is the Wanted To Say.  This set is amazing!  It has the double layers for a 3D look to the words.  One of the most important things to remember on these dies is to add the Adhesive Sheet to the back of the card stock before cutting the thinner words.  It makes life so much easier!  For this one, I used Crushed Curry for the shadow cut and then  Basic White for the lettering.  Once they were adhered together they are added to the Nested Essential die with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  And of course a few pearls were necessary to complete the project.

Open View

This is a view of how large the inside of the clutch is.  I have 10 notecards with envelopes as well as an added gift.  As I said, it is surprisingly large on the inside.    (When closed, the extra gift is laying on it’s side not flat in the bottom.)   Hopefully my friend will love this as much as I do!

Starter Kit promotion is ending on October 31!  Please do not let it pass you by!!

Thank You Gift

Today’s projects are a group of Thank You cards I made for a friend.  Not only did my husband manage to fall and break his ankle, but a good friend broke her arm.  And yes the threes did strike.  Another friend broke several bones in his hand.  Hopefully that took care of all breakage for the near future!!!  That being said, I made a set of Thank You cards for my friend to use.

Stampin' Up!, Whisper White Note Cards, Lasting Label Punch, Fresh As A Daisy, Inked and Tiled, Jackie Beers

Papers

These cards all begin with the Basic White Note Cards.  The note cards are such a great deal and are available in Whisper White, Very Vanilla and Kraft.  The Kraft are Online Exclusives.  These all come in a package of 20 cards and envelopes for the low price of $8.00.

My cards are using the Basic White note cards.  And each has a strip of Fresh As A Daisy Designer Series Paper.  There are four different DSP patterns used.    The strips coordinate with the color of the stamped flower.  Or rather, I coordinated the stamping to the DSP!

Stamps and Ink

The pretty flower is from the Inked & Tiled stamp set.  I really love this flower as it is large enough to stand alone, as I have used it.  The leaves on each flower are direct to rubber colored using the Shaded Spruce Marker.  For the flowers there are different colors to match the DSP.  But all are done with the direct to rubber technique and using the Stampin’ Write Markers.  All of the colors are listed in the Supply List at the bottom of the page.

The sentiment is stamped using Pebbled Path Ink and is the same on each card.  I left the inside blank since they are smaller note cards.  But did finish with a bit of bling to each.  I used the 2023-2024 In Color Dots.

View of Each Card

These are each of the different cards where you can see the different bloom colors used.

SUPPLIES:

The Stampin’ Write Markers are only available in Color Family Groups.  But these are the ones I used:

  • Shaded Spruce
  • Pebbled Path
  • Crushed Curry
  • Lemon Lolly
  • Bubble Bath
  • Moody Mauve

Inked Thanks

I am late getting started today.  But I have good news to share.  The All About Autumn Designer Series Paper is back in stock.  If you have been waiting on this beautiful paper then grab it now!

Today’s card is another Thank You.  I have been needing quite a lot of these lately. This one pairs Autumn Leaves with Inked Botanicals DSP for a softer Fall look.  I love this pair, and had to use it with a Fun Fold as well.  The measurements for the Fun Fold are at the bottom of the post.

Stampin' Up!, Autumn Leaves, Inked and Tiled, Inked Botanicals, Faceted Gems, Jackie Beers

Papers

This paper, and colors, is not what you would first think to pair with Autumn Leaves.  But I believe it works with a totally different look.  The star of this card is the gorgeous Inked Botanicals Designer Series paper.  These colors are still wonderful Fall colors, they are just a bit brighter than what you would first think of.

To keep with the rustic look, I began with a card base of Crumb Cake card stock.  Then added a layer of Very Vanilla, as it is the color in this DSP.  Next came choosing a the DSP pieces.  I finally went with a variety!  And I think it is a good mix.  It is not normal that I use three pieces of a DSP on one card.  But these were all partial pieces left over ,so why not!!  You can see the third piece from the open view of the card.

Stamps and Dies

The leaves from the Autumn Leaves set are still a favorite.  I love the inside details.  Not only do you get shading with the leaf stamp, but you can add the veining and stem with a second stamp.  This is actually the first time I have used the veining.  And now I am sad that I never used it before!  It really adds to the leaves.  The leaves are stamped in Calypso Coral and Wild Wheat, with the veins done in Pecan Pie.

The shape for the sentiment is from the matching Die set Autumn Leaves.  I have used this shape several times and really love the stitching, but most of all the little ticket corner look of the corners.  The Pecan Pie Ink was used for the sentiment but was stamped on Lost Lagoon card stock.  The front sentiment is from the Autumn Leaves set, but the inside sentiment is from the Inked & Tiled stamp set.  This is another great set for a variety of occasions.

Finishes

The finishes were kept pretty simple for me.  With all of the DSP and the fun fold, it did not require much.  Of course I had to add a touch of bling though.  There is one of the Faceted Gems Trio.  And some loops of Bakers Twine was the last touch to complete it.

Fun Fold

The card begins with a piece of Crumb Cake card stock that is 8 1/2 X 5 1/2, score at 4 1/4 and then cut off 1 1/2 from the front.  Then use the 1 1/2 cut off piece and cut it down to 3″ long.  Score it in the center and attach half to the inside of the back of the card so the fold is flush with the edge.

The inside Very Vanilla is cut to 4 X 5 1/4 and covers the adhered part of the flap. For the front of the flap use a piece of DSP that is cut to 1 1/4 X 1 1/4.  I used the same paper as the front fold.  For the front fold I added a piece of Very Vanilla that is 2 1/2 X 5 1/4.  Then the DSP is 2 1/4 X 5 to layer over it.  The strip of DSP on the inside right is 1 1/8 X 5.

The front focal section is Crumb Cake cut to 3 X 3.  It is adhered to the flap so that it is centered on the front of the card.  I just adhered it to the front of that flap as I was going to add DSP to cover.  (You can add the Crumb Cake behind and let your focal layer cover the flap.)  The back side of the focal layer DSP is 2 3/4 X 2 3/4.  And the Vanilla for the stamped front is 2 3/4 X 2 3/4.

Bear Gifting

The card I have to show today is a really quick and simple fun fold.  This one includes the Beary Cute Bundle and the Walk In The Forest DSP.  A perfect pairing for Christmas.

Stampin' Up!, Beary Cute, A Walk In The Forest, Azure Afternoon, Balmy Blue, Jackie Beers

Here is the open view to see how simple this cute card is.

Fold

This fold is only one extra score line, a mountain and valley fold,  into a wonderful card.  I have shared this same fold using the Winter Meadow products previously.  You can see that card HERE.

The card begins as a 4 1/4 X 11 piece of Thick White card stock.  Then score at 4 and 6 3/4.  The top section when folded is the smaller of the two end panels.  Because the base is Basic White, I did not add additional layers to that.  The top piece of DSP is cut 4 X 3 3/4 and the bottom one is 4 X 4.  The middle Basic White section for you to write is 4 X 2 1/2.  And the Basic White sentiment is 2 3/4 X 1 3/4.  That is all you need!

Papers

To continue the quick and easy theme, this card uses very little paper.  There is the card base and a couple extra pieces of Basic White.  This allows the beautiful DSP to shine.  I love this A Walk In The Forest Designer Series Paper.  It can be seen on page 4 & 5 of the Mini Catalog.  This paper is the Stampin’ Up! Making A Difference set for this catalog.  I love they are doing paper in place of a stamp set.  And especially when it is such versatile paper!

Stamp Bundle

The Beary Cute Bundle is simply adorable!  I love the bear.  As I have mentioned before, it reminds me of the Coca Cola Bears from many years ago.  These bears have so many possibilities.  But I loved them giving a gift.

To create the scene, I used a piece of Basic White the same width as the DSP (4″ and probably 5″ tall).  I left room to have some “snow” at the bottom, and stamped the sitting bear on the left side.  She is stamped with Smoky Slate Ink and with an added Azure Afternoon scarf.  Using my Paper Snips, I cut some wavy “snow” lines and then around the bear.  The little gift and standing bear were stamped in the cut away of the snow.  I colored the gift with Azure Afternoon Stampin’ Blends.  The punch was used to cut the standing bear and the gift was fussy cut.  They are then added to my little scene with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment layer is also from the stamp set.  It is stamped using Azure Afternoon also.  As is the Merry Christmas on the top DSP.  I personally love to stamp on DSP.  There are some who say they are afraid to make a mistake.  My rules are to go for it!!  And I added just the little gift to the center White section where you would sign the card.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you will give this fun fold a try.  It is quick and easy, and uses very little DSP.

Cup of Cheer

Today’s card is a Christmas fun fold card wishing you Cheer!  The stamp set is one that I think is being overlooked in the Mini Catalog.  It is the Gift of Giving Set.

Stampin' Up!, Gift of Giving, Joy of Christmas, Festive Pearls, Jackie Beers

Stamp set

This set is the fun Gift of Giving stamp set.  There are three large images and a couple of little background additions.  I was drawn to this Cup of Cheer right away.  But I love the entire set.  Each of the images can be fully colored, highlight colored, and are all so stinking cute!  I have ideas for gift tags and treats with one of these.  The image was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored with Stampin’ Blends.

Papers

These two pieces of DSP are both from the Joy of Christmas Designer Series Paper.  I love how they coordinate, which is how all Stampin’ Up! DSP works, but sometimes it really gets my attention.  By pairing the Old Olive card stock with these I have a great card with only the one stamp used.  Beautiful paper is one of the reasons I love SU!!

Finishes

There are very little additions to this card other than paper and ink.  I did add a trio of the Festive Pearls on the focal layer.  The larger image pretty much dominates the card and has it’s own sentiment as well.  It makes for a quick and easy card.  Although, I did make a bit of a fun fold to highlight the different papers and layers.

Layout

The card base is Old Olive that is cut to 4 1/4 X 8 and scored at 5 1/2.  The top section includes a Basic White layer that is 4 X 2 1/4 and the DSP is 3 3/4 X 2.  For the focal layer I cut an extra piece of Old Olive that measures 3 3/4 X 3 3/4.  It has the second piece of DSP that is cut 3 1/2 X 3 1/2 and the Basic White stamped piece if 2 3/4 X 2 3/4.  To give the illusion of White all the way down the front, the inside Basic White layer is 4 X 5 1/4 and is aligned with the upper section White piece.  And the focal Old Olive section is aligned with the top section DSP and the bottom edges.
