I hope you enjoyed yesterday’s blog hop! It was my first Christmas card of the year. I will try to do one every now and then, but I mainly will be sticking to summer into Fall for right now. It’s way too hot to be thinking of Christmas here in the south.
Today’s card is a retirement card for a friend. Everything , even the sentiment, would work for other purposes as well. I hope you like it.
This stamp set is the Sailing Home set. It is a carry over in the annual catalog. I love it for the stamps, but also that it works for anyone who loves the water and sailing. I wanted a “water” color for this card, so went with Coastal Cabana as the base. I then found the perfect compliment of DSP in the Brights 6X6 Designer Series Paper. The pattern on the paper works for so many things.
The boats are stamped using Smoky Slate Ink. The bit of water beneath each one is colored using the Light Pool Party Stampin’ Blend. I use it for various shadows on items. It is just enough color.
The sentiment layer is stamped in Coastal Cabana Ink. I die cut the sentiment using a die from the Smooth Sailing Dies. They used to be a bundle with the Sailing Home stamp set, but are not longer. They are just available individually. To get the Bermuda Bay layer behind the sentiment, I did a little trick that I have used a few times. I flipped the die over, and used a pencil to draw around the outside of it. I then fussy cut, carefully, just outside the line. (For me, just outside the line is easier than trying to cut on the line.) It may not be perfect, but I love the look it gives when you do not have a companion back layer.
The finishing touch was a few of the Epoxy clear dots. Just a bit of water splash in my mind!
Thank you for stopping in today! I really appreciate it and thank you for the nice compliments yesterday. If you missed the hop, here is the link to my card and you can hop around from there. Click Here

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s July Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are enjoying a year of celebrations. This month’s projects celebrate Christmas in July. Demonstrators have been able to order new products from the upcoming August-December Mini Catalog, so prepare yourself for a gorgeous mix of new products, products available in the Annual Catalog and returning favorites. What fun! We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Christmas is my favorite time of year, so I was so excited to make my first Christmas card of the year for today’s hop. I have meshed a couple of items together for this project. They are from the annual catalog and the upcoming mini catalog.
I decided on a wreath since that is usually the first piece of Christmas decorations that I put up. I used the two different wreath dies out of the Wreath Builder Dies for my base. I love the fuller look, as well as the two different textures you get from these dies.
For my decorations, I took the little trees from the Warm Hugs Bundle. I thought they were just the perfect size. There are Christmas decorations in the Wreath Builder bundle, but I went with the Warm Hugs, from the upcoming Mini catalog, for the rest of the layers. The trees are stamped on Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper and die cut. I added stars from the All The Trimmings Embellishments to each tree.
The center of the wreath is from the Warm Hugs Bundle. The Daffodil Delight , which you cannot see very well, has a stitched border close to the edge. It is layered with the cute sentiment, which is a favorite of mine. I just love HUGS!!! The heart is also from the dies and is cut from the same paper as the trees.
The background of my card is also from the Heartwarming Hugs DSP pack. There are really gorgeous patterns in that pack of paper. To finish off my card I made a double bow out of the Red Braided Linen Trim. I realize it looks like I didn’t turn the sentiment properly since the dots are not even. But I did that on purpose. It may not be how it’s supposed to look, but I wanted the “Warm Hugs” to be the first thing someone sees!! I hope you will let me know what you think of these wonderful new products.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Sheryl Sharp at Sharp Notes by Sheryl. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!

I have another Sneak Peek for you today. This one is one I skipped over the first time through the Mini Catalog. But when I was seriously looking at everything, I saw it and immediately knew I had to have it.
I did not realize until I was writing this post, that I had used Just Jade on the card from yesterday. It is definitely becoming a favorite for greens. This great set I used today is called Love of Leaves and it is a Bundle. There are four leaves that having matching dies. But there are two dies for each of the leaves. There is this negative cut I used here, which then gives you the die cut leaf. However, there is a detailed leaf as well. It has definition to the cut out leaf. And then there are the leaf stamps and some sentiments. It is a multi-use bundle!!
I went with the simplistic look today. The base of the card is Just Jade, with a layer of Mint Macaron behind the Whisper White and DSP. I die cut the leaf and used the negative. I added some leafy DSP from the Flowers For Every Season Designer Series Paper. I love how the stitching around the leaf shape really stands out!
I added the sentiment using Just Jade Ink. . I felt the full strength ink was a bit dark for the stamped leaf. So I “stamped Off” before stamping it next to the sentiment.
Thank you for stopping by today. Please come back tomorrow. I will be participating in the InKing Royalty Blog Hop tomorrow. So there will be additional project ideas from some very creative demonstrators for you to check out.

I have mixed two of the stamps that carried over to the new Annual Catalog. Since these tend to get left out when new stamps arrive on the scene, I decided to show them some love.
Do you recognize these two stamp sets? The tree is from Rooted In Nature, and the bunnies are from Wildly Happy. I think they work very well together.
I stamped the bunnies first with Gray Granite Ink and over to the left of my Whisper White layer. I stamped again on some scrap white and cut right on the lines to give me a mask. As it turned out, I didn’t really need the mask because the tree fit perfectly in the open space. Oh well, I have a mask for next time! The bunnies are colored using Stampin’ Blends. I used both Smoky Slate Blends on the body and Petal Pink for the nose and ear.
I stamped the tree using Stampin’ Write Markers to give the tree it’s two colors. I love markers for coloring on the red rubber and being able to have multiple colors. I always comment that I wish they were available individually, but sadly they are not. They are available as a color family though. I colored the canopy all over with Just Jade and then the trunk with Soft Suede. I then went back to the canopy and very lightly went over some of the branches with the softest of touch using the tip of the Soft Suede brush. It is actually very easy, as the ink from the Just Jade highlighted all of the definition of the stamp. The finished look of the tree makes that last step very worthwhile.
The gorgeous background of Just Jade card stock is embossed using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. I really like the texture it gives. It is a great masculine touch and looks just like the weave on heavy fabric.
Thank you for stopping in today. I will have another project to share with you tomorrow.

I have a new project to share today. And I am totally in Love with this bundle of products. Handing out little treats and Random Act of Kindness cards is a pleasure for me. This new bundle makes this So Easy!!! This is a Sneak Peek from the upcoming August – December Mini Catalog.
These cuties are made using the Little Treats Bundle. Aren’t they adorable? I used the 2020-2022 In Color Designer Series Paper. I am already in love with these new colors. What makes these extra special ,is that there are colors for feminine and masculine. They may be a tad on the “sweet” side for some guys, but Hey they contain chocolate!!
Here is a view of the inside:
These little holders will comfortably hold two Ghirardelli chocolates in regular size. I chose to go with two of the Mini Chirardelli chocolates. They fit just below the top of the little pocket, so it allows the top to pull together without a bit of a bump.
There is nothing extra that I needed to do to make these other than just run the die through the cutting machine. It cuts and scores, as well as has the little tab and slot on the pocket. No adhesive is needed at all for this little cutie. I used the ribbon with the bookmark type tie to hold the tops together.
The sentiment die is also included in the die set. I love the scallop with the stitching. The sentiment is included in the stamp set. There are sweet sayings for most occasions included in the set.
Thank you for stopping in today. If you do not currently have a demonstrator, I would love to assist you and get catalogs into your hands. Just reach out to me from the Contact Me button at the top of the page.

I hope you enjoyed yesterday’s blog hop. There was a variety of “from the garden” projects. And today I have a fun fold with more garden foliage to share.
This is a tri fold card that is much easier to make than it would appear. Here is a view of the inside as well.
The DSP is the Forever Greenery Designer Series paper. I used both sides of the same sheet for this project. The sentiment and stamps are from the Forever Fern Stamp set.
The card base is 5 1/2 X 8 1/2. It is scored at 2 1/8, and 4 1/4. To get the angle cut, I placed the card on the Paper Trimmer as it would be when opened. With the top of the center score line on the cutting track towards the center of the platform, place the left side bottom corner at 2 1/2. Cut from the edge of that left side to the center scored line. The DSP is cut with the same idea. The center fold has the same side of the DSP on it’s front and back. The sections that are stamped on have the opposite side beneath them.
The stamping is done in Granny Apple Green for the foliage. The splatter is in Shaded Spruce but stamped off once. The sentiment is stamped also in Shaded Spruce.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you enjoyed this fun fold. Please let me know if you have any questions.
