I am sure you have viewed the new Catalog by now. Oh My! This may be one of the better ones in a while. The stamp sets are great. But the DSP is over the top in my book. I have shared before one of my favorites. And I am giving you another look at yet a different, but still gorgeous, sheet from the same pack of DSP.
The Gorgeous Paper
This amazing DSP sheet is from the Moonlit Flora Designer Series Paper. It is a nod to the “night blooming” flowers that we rarely see. The pops of pink against the different greens makes this seem like you are there in real life.
I went softer on the complimentary colors than I tend to do. The card base is Soft Sea Foam with the touch of Strawberry Slush for the strip and ruffle. Strawberry Slush or Berry Burst are the two closest to this pink I think.
Stamps & Dies
The beautifully scripted Happy Birthday is from the amazing Scalloped Blooms Bundle. As is the sentiment layer. The stamp set is all sentiments that have a mix of great fonts. You know how I love mixed fonts! And the Die set is several sizes of scalloped circles, but also some more regular tags. The sentiment layer is one of those extras. I love the scallop along the bottom edge. And it was simple to add the Strawberry Slush ruffle as an accent.
Extras
The 2026-2028 In Color Butterflies are one I have shared a few times. Well here they are again. They work for so many different card ideas. I am not sure if butterflies are flying around at night though. My butterflies are anyway.
Measurements
This is a very simple looking card, but it has a bit of a twist. The card base is 5 1/4 X 5 1/2 and is scored at 1″ on the 5 1/4 side. That is where you see the strip of Strawberry Slush. Next I cut a piece of Basic White that measures 4 1/8 X 5 1/2. It is added to the inside of that narrow strip to make a complete card front. (I did this because using DSP to complete the card front like this is nice, but the reverse side of the DSP does not always really go along with the card. This way you have a blank slate on the inside to stamp or do as you wish.)
The Strawberry Slush strip measures 3/4 X 5 1/4 and the DSP measures 3 1/4 X 5 1/2. The DSP aligns with the top, bottom, and right edge then butts up against the folded over card base and adheres to the Basic White layer we added. Another bonus for adding the White layer is that you are using less of the DSP.

If there was every a way to elevate a card, I have it for you today with a touch of Velvet. Actually I have shared a bit of the velvet previously. The card I have today is all about the DSP. And it has the Velvet look and feel.
Paper
The paper, particularly the DSP is most definitely the star of this card. It even outshines the fabulous new Bundle I have included. As you can see from the first photo, the paper looks like the white flowers are raised. They actually are and have a velvety texture to them. The gorgeous paper is from the Velvet Meadow Designer Series Paper. This is included in the new May – August Catalog and it is available for you to order from TODAY!!!! That is really worth a Woohoo!!. All of the sheets in this pack have some of the velvet texture to them. I shared one last week. This sheet is covered in the velvet though.
Stamp & Die Bundle
The new and unique label on the front of the card is the next fabulous addition. This is from the Phrases & Frames Bundle. It is also in the new catalog. It is a sentiment stamp set with these amazing frames that work with the sentiments. This Die set will also work with the new Silicone Empressions Plate that you can use with the Cut & Emboss Machine and instead of cutting, it embosses the paper, or you can do both. But this label was only Die cut. And it still did a good bit of embossing without the additional run through the machine. Here is a look at the inside of the card for another of the sentiments in the set.
Paper, Ink, & Extras
This card was actually quick to make as it only has the one Die cut and stamped image on the front and a simple sentiment on the inside. I used the Peaceful Pine cardstock and Ink as it matches the DSP and is a new In Color.
The Extra is the 2026-2028 In Color Butterflies. I have given you sneak peeks of those last week, and they will be something you see fairly regularly. I really love these adorable little butterflies.
Measurements
This quick card is really easy to create with any focal layer. The card base measures 5 1/2 X 8 1/2, score at 4 1/4. Then cut off 1 1/2 from one side. That short side becomes your front. (or simply cut the cardstock 5 1/2 X 7 and score at 4 1/4 from one end.
The DSP measures 5 1/4 X 4 and then I cut 1 1/2 from the bottom. I did the bottom as my piece is directional and I wanted to continue the pattern when the card is closed. If not directional then it does not matter. Next the inside White is 5 1/4 X 4 also and the bottom cut off section of DSP is added flush to the bottom of it. Simply add the large DSP to the front of the card, then add the White layer that includes the strip of DSP to the inside. Easy Peasy!!!

It seems April has been a Birthday month with my friends. And today is no different. This one is for a guy. Mostly the colors lean towards male. The card is pretty cutesy actually. But since he loves dogs I think he will be okay with it.
Stamps
No matter what I might begin thinking is the lead of the card, these puppies take the star for sure. The Cutest Crew Stamp set, it is actually a Bundle, takes the cake for a dog or cat lover. I colored these pups in a variety of colors using Stampin’ Blends. We do not want to offend anyone’s favorite. They are all equally adorable.
The sentiment on both the front and inside are also from the stamp set. On the front I went with the second smallest of the Circle Dies from Stylish Shapes Dies to create a Dog Tag look to highlight the Happy Birthday. At least in my head that was the plan!
To add a bit more whimsy, I stamped the paw prints up the side of the DSP. That can be a little nerve wracking to stamp on the DSP, especially after you have already adhered it to the card. But I succeeded with no errors this time. After doing the paw prints, I decided they needed to be on the inside as well. Here is a view of the inside of the card.
Papers
This quite different DSP is part of the 2026-2028 In Color Painted Patterns Designer Series Paper. There are these stripes, along with polka dots, in all of the upcoming In Colors in this pack of paper. It is a wonderful pack. I was partial to these different size stripes. You can also see the small polka dots. But there is an additional sheet of large dots that are more like paint swirls. Trust me, you will want this paper!!
To match the colors of the DSP, I went with Peaceful Pine for the card base. This is one of the new In Colors. And you only have a few days before being able to order some of your own! Since there are White stripes in the main paper, I did not try to fancy up the Basic White pieces. They fit right in.
Extras
The Extras for today are the Stylish Shapes Dies I mentioned along with the sentiment. These are the best set of all purpose Dies. And for the Bling I kept it simple. Only one bling was added to the Dog Tag. This is from the 2026-2028 In Color Dots. These are shiny Bling! And are a couple of different sizes in all of the new colors. Another must have are these Dots.

The 2026-2028 In Color Painted Patterns DSP, In Color Dots, Peaceful Pine Ink and cardstock will all be avaialbe beginning in the May Catalog.
From the title you have guessed what today’s card is for, LOL!!! This stamp is one I hope sticks around, or I will just have to keep it. I find myself, more often than not, being late getting cards into the mail. And that is after I made them on time. I think I need a better system. Anyway, today’s card is a simple layout that makes a perfect birthday card. I hope you will like.
Papers
The colors in the DSP are the reason for the variety of colors. It was difficult to choose which color for card base, layer, etc. But I believe we all can agree that the star is of course the DSP. This is another sheet from the fabulous Delicate Dreams Designer Series Paper. This is an On Line Exclusive from the March release and is still available.
There was a toss up between the Crumb Cake or the Hydrangea Hue for the card base and layer. I am happy with the final choice. And the Hydrangea Ribbon works perfectly in the order of the cardstock colors. I did add a Mossy Meadow layer behind the DSP for another touch of color.
Extras
There are a couple of wonderful Extras. First is the embossed background. This is from the Paradise Garden Hybrid Embossing folder. The detail is very detailed! 🙂 And the leaves match well with the DSP.
Next is the sentiment and it’s layer. The sentiment is from the Coneflower Celebrations stamp set. And now that I have just checked, it is on the Last Chance List! Yikes, I need that sentiment. For a simple layer of the sentiment I turned to a different shape in a punch. And this is on the Last Chance List as well. It is the Sign Design Punch. I love that it is a different shape than usual.
Finally is the Ribbon. This is new in the May – August Catalog and is the Hydrangea Hue Ribbon. To complete the card I added the obligatory bling. This one is not quite blingy, but is still pretty. It is a Secret Sea color from the Natural Matte Dots. The Dots are from the March On Line Exclusives along with the DSP.

Sympathy cards are always a difficult card to create for me. Part of that is that they must still be a pretty card that might make the recipient smile just a bit. A pretty floral with a “hug” attached fits that idea pretty well.
Papers
This floral pattern is one I have used previously. The Delicate Dreams Designer Series Paper is really exceptional. All of the colors are bright and with the copper accents become really stunning. And to highlight the gorgeous blue, I paired it with two of my favorite blues. The card base and embossed layer are Secret Sea and the blue is the new Hydrangea Hue. It could be called a blue…ish. To me it has a purple tint to it. All I can say is that it is my new favorite.
Stamps
The stamp is a small part of the front of the card. But it definitely sets the tone. Hugs can be very loving and healing. This small sentiment is a great size for many card fronts. Here it fits perfectly layered on the side of the floral pattern. There is a sweet inside sentiment as well. Both of these sentiments are from an upcoing new stamp set titled Phrases & Frames. It is a fabulous sentiment set in the May – August Catalog. Additionally I added a strip of the DSP to coordinate wit the front.
Extras
The Extras on today’s card are very important and part of the beauty. First is the Paradise Garden Hybrid Embossing Folder. These detailed leaves are a perfect pairing for the floral DSP. The detail has great depth. Then there are the fabulous as always Everyday Arches Dies. These were still on my desk from the floral card I shared last week. It sets a scene like you were looking into the garden through an archway. Plus the smallest of the arches was turned sideways for the sentiment. And last but not least are the bling. These are the Natural Matte Dots. I broke my own rule and only used two bling. My rule is to have an odd number. Except the placement was to appear as fasteners for the sentiment layer.
