Cookie Jar Pop Up

The Sweet Jar Bundle is one I have shared a couple of times already. Today it is featured as a Pop Up. I love Fun Folds and this one is also one I have shared previously. When they are easy and fun it is worth sharing again and with different images.

stampin up, sweet jar, encircled with love, floral impressions, flower accents, circle punches, strawberry slush, jackie beers

This paper is gorgeous, but here is the fun part!!

STAMPS

This jar of cookies is a great surprise gift for just about anyone. To begin with this fun image, It is from the Sweet Jar stamp set. The jar is stamped using the new Cloud Cover Ink. (customers cannot purchase the Cloud Cover Ink Pad due to a color issue between ink and the foam of the pad. You can purchase the ink refill and ink a Stampin’ Spot and the ink color is perfect) The cookies are stamped off Crumb Cake with Early Espresso as the chocolate chips. And the lid of the jar is Strawberry Slush. The inside sentiments are also stamped with Strawberry Slush and are from the Sweet Jar set.

The front circle sentiment is from the Encircled With Love stamp set. I do Love this set. It is all circle images with different sentiments for a variety of purposes. A quick circle punch and finished! For this use I stamped the image using Garden Green Ink that is pulled from the DSP. I wanted the front sentiment to pop.

PUNCHES

The circle shapes for the front image are both Circle Punches. However there are a variety of different circles in different Die sets you could use. For example the spotlight on Nature , and Stylish Shapes Dies. I used the 2″ and 1 3/4 ” Circle Punches. There is one in the Annual Catalog that is a match for these circles but it is not available yet. It is the 1 7/8″ Circle Punch. This one pairs with a different set, but also coordinates with the Encircled With Love also.

PAPERS

The bright colors of this DSP is fabulous to me! I love Brights. This sheet is from the Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper. As is the flap piece, and the piece beneath the cookie jar. Actually these other prints are the flip side of the floral. The best part is none are very large and you can get multiple cards from one 12 X 12 piece.

To compliment the Floral DSP I went with Strawberry Slush as the card base. I love this returning In Color. It carries that Bright and Cheery feeling. For the layer behind the sentiment, I went a bit softer and chose Flirty Flamingo. It pairs with the lighter shades of flowers in the print.

EXTRAS

The only Extra , other than the Fun Fold, is a single Bling! It is in the center of the circle sentiment on the front. This is the smallest size of the Flower Accents embellishments. If you zoom in you can see how adorable this little gold flower is.

I have shared this Fun Fold previously. You can see that card, and directions by clicking HERE.

Cheers for Double Greetings

The card I have for you today is a fun one. Partly that is due to the DSP and images. And then because it is a Fun Fold. So Let’s “Celebrate” it!

stampin up, celebratory sips, cheers and sips, timid tiger, peach pie, highland heather, bubble bath, jackie beers

I love the front fold down of this card. And to get an extra greeting is even better. The card still opens as normal for another greeting and a place for you to write. The pull out can be a spot for a gift card or with a sweet personal saying on a bookmark.

Here is the open view:

STAMPS & DIES

These images and sentiments are from the Cheers & Sips Bundle. The matching Die set is great for the little sprig of lavender and glass. Plus there are many more that can be cut. I have made a lemonade with a sprig of lavender as a garnish. Then carried the lavender to both the pull out and the inside layer. All of the sentiments are from the stamp set as well.

The drink glass is stamped using Highland Heather Ink, as well as the ice cubes. Then I used the Light Bubble Bath Stampin’ Write Marker to “scribble” back and forth for the liquid. I like the varied shades and a bit of white to add the drink details. The lavender is stamped using Old Olive Ink and stamped off for a lighter shade. Then the leaves are colored with Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blend. The flower petals are colored using Light Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends.

PAPERS

This fun paper is one of the best parts of the card. This shows both sides of a sheet from the Celebratory Sips Designer Series Paper. The DSP is part of a suite of products along with the Cheers & Sips Bundle. I paired the DSP with Timid Tiger as the card base and then Peach Pie as the pocket layer.

To create the pocket I cut the Peach Pie layer to 3 3/4 X 5 and the DSP layer to 3 1/2 X 4 3/4. Place the DSP on the layer in place, but do not adhere. Lay on the paper trimmer and mark with a pencil down 2″ on the right side from the top. Now take them apart and cut the DSP from the mark up to the top left corner. This creates the striped piece on the flap when you turn it over to fit the shape. On the Peach Pie layer, do not cut the same way, but Score from the mark to the upper left corner. Fold that over and you are done. I cased this Fun Fold from creativemomentsbyg.

EXTRAS

To my surprise there is really not Extras! Granted I did add ribbon to the pull out. It is the Fresh Freesia Faux ribbon. It is a perfect solution for the pull since it is a little narrower and thicker than most ribbon.

Textured Thanks

The card for today is one that is an easy layout. A little stamping and some strips of DSP can create a pretty card for any occasion. The one I have made is a more masculine Thanks. I hope you will give this layout a try.

stampin up, textured notes, woven textures, pecan pie, early espresso, crumb cake basic beige, jackie beers

STAMPS

These two stamps are from the same great stamp set. It is the Textured Notes stamp set. And it includes Dies that can be bundled. I know you are familiar with them if you follow me, because I use those Dies regularly. They are the rectangles that all have a different edge detail. So this is an amazing stamp bundle to have in your stash.

The sentiment is stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I had to make sure it would fit on my already cut paper as it is pretty long. Luckily it was a fit! The leaf is one stamp that I have repeated three times. It is stamped using Cajun Craze Ink. I stamped it full strength on the right, again in the center, and yet again on the left. Because this is a deep color of ink, there is still plenty of color left on that third stamping. Not all ink will look this well, but I love how this one turned out.

PAPERS

These gorgeous DSP strips are from the Woven Textures Designer Series Paper. They are part of the Suite of products that include the stamp bundle above. These are Onliine Exclusives. To pair with the DSP colors, I pulled all shades of brown to decide on the best combination. Pecan Pie won as the card base. Early Espresso is the layer, with Crumb Cake for the top layer. I thought about embossing that one, but then thought the strips would be enough.

The focal layers are Pecan Pie again, and then Basic Beige. I do love Basic Beige. It seems to pair well with most colors and pick up their color a little. Plus it was light enough to do the three stamping technique with no difficulty on the color.

EXTRAS

The Extra I used is what I thought would match great with the colors. Sadly, it is a discontinued item. I used the Adhesive Back Swirl Dots. However, any tan or brown embellishment would work. And you can color a pearl or rhinestone with Stampin’ Blends.

Beautiful Damask

The card for today is a sympathy card for the family of a long time friend. It is a mix of unexpected products. I have surprised myself by trying a technique that I have recently seen on different media pages. It is embossing on a window sheet.

stampin up, beautiful gallery, damask designs, emboss, beautiful motifs, window sheet, flat pearls, cloud cover, secret sea, jackie beers

DRY EMBOSSING

The photo may not be clear unless you zoom in, but on the left side of the card you should be able to see the shine of the window sheet. As I mentioned, I have seen different products, besides cardstock, that are being dry embossed of late. I decided to try a window sheet. Actually it is the thinner of the clear plastic the photopolymer stamps are attached to. Needless to say I am happy with the result. You do need to look closely to see the detail. But overall it is like looking through old glass that is a bit wavy if you know what I am referring to.

For the embossing folder I used the Damask Designs that is part of the Beautiful Gallery Suite. It pairs wonderfully with the painting type DSP of the Beautiful Gallery DSP. As it reminds me of just a bit old timey. I was pleasantly surprised at the detail on this thin plastic. And that it did not really warp the plastic. That is a win as a first try! I was very cautious in adhering the window sheet after recalling adhesive showing through on vellum. So I used a very thin layer of liquid glue around the edges and pressed down for a bit longer than normal. It worked perfectly.

STAMPS

This sweet and simple sentiment stamp is the only stamping on the front. I wanted the paper and embossing to shine. And it does shine!! This stamp is from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set. The simple font , that is just a bit thicker, is perfect. It seems to stand out just the right amount.

PAPERS

The gorgeous rose pattern paper is from the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper. With the new Cloud Cover as the main color, and Secret Sea as the matching, how could it go wrong. I love both of these colors. To compliment both colors I used Cloud Cover as the card base with Secret Sea as a thin layer. The touch of Basic White for the sentiment really pops from the busy pattern.

EXTRAS

There are two Extras and both are included with the sentiment. First is the fabulous Cloud Cover Faux Linen Ribbon. This is a nice and soft ribbon and is just thick enough to hold up as I have used it in wrapping around the card. The second Extra is one I have used a couple of times already. It is the 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls. I used the Secret Sea color today. There are shades of each of the new In Colors included.

Black, White, & Strawberry

Black and White cards can be hard. But adding in a touch of a bright color makes it so much easier in my book. Plus adds some color to a classic look. The Along The Lines stamp set is a perfect one for this look. I hope you will agree.

stampin up, along these lines, botanical textures, textured notes dies, pack your bags twine, jackie beers

STAMPS

The Along These Lines stamp set is a very unique set. I do not recall a similar one. Each image in the set is drawn with a single line to create it. As soon as I saw this rose I knew it had to be a star of a black and white card. And for the Black, White, & Strawberry of the title, I used the Strawberry Slush Stampin’ Blends to color the rose. I also added light Gray Granite for the leaves to mimic the shading of the leaves in the DSP.

To add a simple sentiment, which I really debated on, I needed a similar look as the rose. I found this “celebrate” in the Unbounded Love stamp set. It seemed to be a good match for simplicity.

DIES

The shapes for the images seemed to really ask for a bit of a frame. To create this I turned to the Textured Notes Dies. These Dies each have a different trim around the edge. I love this unique look, so it seemed the perfect choice. The rose is cut using the 3rd smallest Die. And the sentiment is from the smallest Die.

PAPERS

To create the Black and White look, of course I went with a Basic Black for the card base. The DSP sheets are all from the Botanical Textures Designer Series Paper. For the larger layer I used a Basic White layer behind it. Additionally the two black pieces with white leaves are also from the same DSP. They are angled to add a bit of fun to what otherwise is a straight card.

EXTRAS

Today the Extras are fairly simple ones. To further the “strawberry” just a bit, I added a double strand of Strawberry Slush Bakers Twine. This twine is a in a trio pack from the Online Exclusives suite. It is Pack Your Bags 3 pack Twine.

The single bling is very important and helps to highlight the rose. This silver sparkle is from the Adhesive Sparkle Gems. These are a great group of sparkly colors in neutral shades. They are very handy to have around.
