I would never have dreamed this move would have taken all of the twists and turns that it has. There were gremlins, and not the nice kind, at every turn. But we are finally living in the new house. The move is not complete as there are still a few things at the old house. Those are dwindling day by day however.
I had hoped to be back to stamping and sharing with you well before now, but you know how intentions are. Now I am looking at after Christmas. Hopefully I will surprise myself and get a post up of my Christmas card. I actually have made a dozen so far. Sad but true.

I wanted to give a quick update on my moving status. We closed on our new home on Friday. But it will still be a couple of weeks before we actually move. Still cleaning out 27 years of things that have just been put away for a while. LOL! A ton of stuff that should have been thrown out years ago.

You may have been wondering why I have not been posting. At least I hope you have missed my card ideas! LOL!! In reality it is nothing major. However I will not be posting for at least another month to month and a half. We are moving. It was a sudden thing and OMG the stress.
We are not moving too far away. It is still in the Metro Atlanta area. Just a bit further north. That said, you can imagine that my craft room is in the process of being boxed up. 26 years is a long time to accumulate Stuff!! This is making the process a bit tougher and the dumpster was delivered today. Oh boy.

I have been on a “simple” card routine of late. Today is not really any different. I am showcasing a single flower paired with a sentiment to make you smile.
STAMPS& DIES
The focal flower today is from the Pretty Florals Bundle. I have stamped and Die cut the images previously, but not used the definition Die cuts. That is what I did today. I really love the detail on the cardstock flower. And adding the darker highlight really ups the beauty. And the matching detail in the leaves is just icing on the cake, or flower! I am so happy that I gave this set another look and studied it a little for all the possibilities. And there are more than what I have done today.
EXTRA DIES
To create the background for the flower as well as the sentiment layer, I turned to the Stylish Shapes Die set. This set is such a Go To for me. I love the layering Dies, and there always seems to be one that fits! The circle for the flower is the largest of the Circle Dies. And the banner for the sentiment is also the largest of that shape.
EXTRA STAMPS
This super sweet sentiment is a favorite of mine. For me, my cardmaking is to make me and others happy. So to get a smile from someone over a card I have made is my big reward. Naturally this sentiment would speak to me. And it is so nice to let those who do make us happy know about it. This wonderful sentiment is from the Sweet Blooms stamp set.
PAPERS
The floral DSP is what started the color choices for this card. And it is actually a back side of a large print. You know how I love using the reverse sides! This is from the Florals In Bloom Designer Series Paper. I pulled Petunia Pop from the DSP as well as the Bubble Bath. The green is Granny Apple Green and after using it for the leaves decided it was perfect as the card base color.
EXTRAS
To complete the card I only needed some bling. I chose to use the Flower Accents. There are a couple of different sizes of these. I went with the smallest and placed one at the flower center and the others on the sentiment layer. The mission was completed.

For a quick and easy card the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper is a perfect fit. I have used one of the pages full of roses for today’s card. A little bit can be all you need for a wonderful card.
STAMPS
This beautifully scripted “birthday wishes” is a perfect match for this simple card. When there is a large image on the paper, or stamped, it only requires a suitably sized sentiment to complete it. This ones is from the Simply Said stamp set. It is an all sentiments set that has a little bit of everything included in it. I love having these type sets on hand. You can see all of the sentiments in the supply list image of the set.
EMBOSSING
The very detailed background I have used was made with the Plaster Painting 3D Embossing Folder. This is a giant size folder. It could be used with scrapbooking as well as card making. I used a half sheet of cardstock and only had to trim a 1/8″ piece from the end that was not embossed. By using a half sheet, you have enough for two card fronts like I have, or multiple strips. I really love the rough detail this adds for the background.
PAPERS
There are several details to this card, but I believe these roses are the stars. As I said at the introduction, these are from the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper. Best of all, it only takes a strip to create a card as I have. I know flowers do not grow blue in nature, but I have always loved blue flowers. These are not really blue, just have shades of maybe the Cloud Cover. I still think they are beautiful.
To add to the blues of the card, I used Misty Moonlight for the card base and the rose layer. Then after having the roses against the Misty Moonlight, I really saw the Cloud Cover shades. So that is what was used for the embossed layer.
EXTRAS
There are three Extras today. First is the Nested Essentials Dies for the sentiment layer. These are such a versatile Die set with the rounded rectangle, a banner, and the Tie shape. All have several layers with each. For the second Extra, I added a single Rhinestone gem to the sentiment. And the final Extra is the Cloud Cover Ribbon. Just a strip around the roses and tied in a knot was all it needed to finish.
