Before today’s card, I want to say that I will be away the rest of the week. The annual Stampin’ Up! Convention is in Raleigh and I will be leaving at dark thirty tomorrow morning. So no more posts this week. However I will be sharing photos on my Facebook Page if you want to check there.
Today’s card is a fun birthday for a friend who loves dogs. Can you guess which stamp set? It is a funny one, so you know it is a favorite of mine!
STAMPS
This adorable, and funny, pup is from the One More Year stamp set. I love his funny facial expression. My friend has a mastiff who can have similar looks, so I believe she will appreciate this one. The sentiment is also from the stamp set. It actually has more sentiment beneath it. I stamped the sentiment and then cut it out and omitted the bottom portion. This is a really special looking script and I wanted it to stand alone.
EMBOSSING FOLDERS
There are two embossing folders here. First is the new Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder. It is the large ribbed section. And it is paired with the Forever Plaid Embossing Folder behind the pup. The two actually work very well together. I have to confess that I had the plaid on my desk as a leftover from another project. It fit in perfectly!
PAPERS
The papers for today are cardstock only. I used Shy Shamrock for the card base with Peach Pie for the embossed layers. These are part of the 2024-2026 In Colors and pair perfectly together. I like that they are both brighter colors than you might expect.
EXTRAS
There are two extras that are both the same shades as the cardstock. Around the corrugated piece I tied a knot using Shy Shamrock Ribbon. And then added bling of the subtle kind. The 2024-2026 In Color Resin Dots. There are five of the dots scattered around.

Today’s card features a mix of some of the new Online Exclusives. The background is the fun Pattern of Friendship Die. I surprised myself and tried running the Die in both directions. The results were a happy one!
STAMPS & DIES
There are two different Die sets used on this card. They are both new Online Exclusives. Since I mentioned the background layer, I will begin with the Pattern of Friendship Bundle. This Die is the only Die in the Bundle. It makes stripes of the fun pattern. However it is easy to line up in the opposite direction to create this plaid look.
The sentiment is also from the Pattern of Friendship Bundle. I really like this fun font. At first glance it may just look like a bold print. But if you look closer the corners are all rounded. This makes for a softer, and more fun, look.
To give the sentiment layer a little bit of texture, I went back to the Textured Notes Dies. These are several rectangle Dies in various sizes for easy layering. And each one has a different detail around the edge. This is one of the smallest ones from the set.
PAPERS
These purple colors were chose for the recipient. She is a purple person. The card base is Highland Heather. There is a thin layer of Garden Green to pick up the leaves of the flowers. And the Die cut layer is Fresh Freesia.
The pretty pink flowers are from t he Lovely Garden Designer Series Paper. I fussy cut this piece to layer on the front. By placing it, and the sentiment, a bit lower it allows the Die cut background to stand out.
EXTRAS
To play off of the green leaves again, I stamped the bold sentiment in the Garden Green as well. Then to add a bit more to the sentiment layer, I chose the green from the Natural Tones Linen Thread. A single bow was the right touch.
The bling is a bit more than my normal. With more of the open space I decided to add five blings instead of my normal three. These are the Antique Pearls. I like the softer sheen of these. And they are a bit flatter than regular pearls.

The card today is a mix of Floral patterns from the Unbounded Beauty DSP. I have paired it with a wonderful quad fold layout. It looks very elaborate, but is easy to create. Stand by for all four photos!
Above is the fully closed card. Next is the first flap open.
Next is with both front flaps open.
And finally to show there is still the regular inside of the card. So plenty of room for your thoughts and signature.
STAMPS& DIES
This fold allows for several locations to add a sweet sentiment. All of the ones I used are from the Unbounded Love Bundle. There are two sentiments and on the smaller of the front flaps, I added a die cut leaf from the Bundle. It was fun deciding on placement for the different stamps and papers.
The stamping is all done using the colors of the paper. For the sentiments I went with Petunia Pop for the pop of color. And for the foliage images I used Summer Splash. These images are from the Flowers of Beauty Stamp set.
PAPERS
These beautiful papers are all from the Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper. I love how well they all work together. The smaller bouquets on the front flap are fussy cut from one of the sheets, in addition to the solid pieces.
The gorgeous blue / green is Coastal Cabana. I liked the light and bright of this pairing. For the front flap I added texture using the Cute Crochet Embossing Folder. These sweet designs in the paper paired perfectly with the floral images of the papers.
EXTRAS
To add some “stand out” detail to the fussy cut florals on the front flap I used the Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Write Marker to go around the edge of the cut outs. It helps the White to blend better onto the Coastal Cabana. And for the bling, I went with the InColor Resin Dots. There are a couple of different colors of these dots passed around the card.
The Unbounded Beauty DSP, Unbounded Love Bundle, the Flowers of Beauty stamp set, and the In Color Resin Dots are all from the Unbounded Beauty Suite of Products. This is a double bundle suite and is fabulous.
MEASUREMENTS
To create this card only takes a few extra score marks and extra pieces of cardstock. The card base is 4 1/4 X 11 scored at 5 1/2. The front top left flap is 4 X 31/2 and scored at 1/2″ on the 4″ side. And the bottom right flap is 3 1/2 X 3 scored at 1/2″ on the 3 1/2′ side.
The flaps are added to the card base prior to the large piece of DSP. Fold on the score lines and then align the flap score line with the edge of the front of the card base. Space the two flaps evenly from the top and bottom of the card.
The DSP and Basic White pieces are all 1/8″ smaller than the base they are on. The largest DSP on the card base is 4 1/8 X 5 3/8. The large flap is 3 3/8 X 3 3/8 as is the Basic White on the reverse side. For the smaller flap you need 2 7/8 X 2 7/8 of DSP and Basic White.

There are a couple of important reminders and new information regarding cardstock. As you know, with each new Annual Catalog a set of In Colors retires. I know it is hard to believe but a new Annual Catalog is only two months away. Yikes, time flies!
The 2023-2025 In Colors will retire. Personally I am sad to lose Boho Blue and Wild Wheat. I use Wild Wheat as a gold pairing quite often. And Boho Blue is a beautiful country blue in my opinion. You may have your own favorites. And if so, then now is the time to order them before they are gone. Last year they were all gone qiucker than normal.
To add an additional change, the Thick Basic White 8 1/2 X 11 cardstock will be discontinued. You can stock up now. Or think of ways to strengthen your card base. Generally the front is not an issue as we add layers there. I have found that adding a second layer of Basic White to the inside is an easy fix. And it allows me to do my inside stamping away from the card. If I make a mistake it is an easy fix. Although that is the reason I began doing this. I have been known to make errors regularly! LOL!
Regular 8 1/2 X 11 Cardtock
Stampin’ Up! has a difficult time keeping our cardstock to the quality they, and we, expect. And they tend to wait almost too long to up the prices. Sadly that time has come. With the new catalog, all 8 1/2 X 11 cardstock will contain 24 sheets, including Very Vanilla and Basic White, and have a price of $14.00.
12 X 12 Cardstock
There will be a Thick Basic White in the 12 X 12 size! It will be priced at $26.00. And the other dyed through cardstock will be priced at $22.00. These packages will contain 24 sheets. Another fun new change is the two toned cardstock. You may have noticed this in the Scrapbooking Catalog. (Which by the way will be included back into the annual Catalog) Lastly, There will now be a two toned version available in every color of the dyed through cardstock. Woohoo! This is a regular color on one side and a lighter shade of that color on the opposite side.

My card to share today is for a dear friend who has reached a major accomplishment. For a big celebration, there should be champagne for all!
STAMPS& DIES
This focal layer was created from three different products. To create the celebration mood, I began with a tub of champagne. These champagne bottles are from the Attention Shoppers stamp set. Three are stamped with a third one fussy cut and layered with dimensionals to stand out. There is a matching Die, but I did not want any white border and these are simple to fussy cut.
The tub for the champagne is from the Country Flowers Die set. And the sentiment stretched across it is from the Sentimental Park stamp set. I thought fussy cutting around it would make it just a bit smaller, and more fun! And finally, the square for the champagne and bucket is cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies. I love the bit of stitching around the edges.
PAPERS
This beautiful paper is the Wildflower Specialty Birthday Designer Series Paper. The colors are perfect for my friend, and I adore the touches of gold. I chose Pretty In Pink from the many colors to be the card base. And went a fancier path by adding Wild Wheat, to mimic gold, for the thin layer. It really works for that when used as a thin layer! The champagne tub was cut using Smoky Slate cardstock.
EXTRAS
To continue the celebration and the gold, I used a trio of the gold dots from Low-Profile Dots. Two are placed as flower centers and the third is on the focal layer. To complete the card I ran a strand of the Pretty In Pink ribbon around the card with a small knotted length on the front.
The initial on the champagne is for my friend. I used the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker on the pen end to write the J. It adds a personal touch. That is something I try to do when given an empty spot like this. It is a fun way to personalize your card.
