This is the second in my use of the same basic card layout for a simple Fun Fold card. It is also my first Christmas card of the year. I cannot believe it is time for Christmas products to be out and I know many are beginning their Christmas card making. This one may fit in perfectly to your plans.

Fun Fold Measurements

The measurements for this card are a tad different from yesterday’s card. You can see that one HERE This card base measures 5 1/2 X 7 1/4 and is scored at 4 1/4. The front Basic White layer measures 2 3/4 X 5 1/4 with the DSP at 2 5/8 X 5 1/8. For the inside layer the Basic White covers the entire inside of the card so it is 4 X 5 1/4. Then the DSP strip measures 1 X 5 1/8 and aligns to the top, bottom and right edge. Still a very simple card.

Papers

The DSP is a star of this card as usual. This is the A Stitched Season Designer Series Paper. I love the mix of patterns with some being very Quilty looking, and then others are a more basic Christmas pattern, like the small strip of DSP. Best of all is the Secret Sea background to the front DSP. So of course I chose it as the card base. By adding the layer of Basic White it makes the same dark color of the DSP still pop out.

Stamp & Die Bundle

The Merriest Tags Bundle is a new one in the July OnLine Exclusives. One of the best parts are the Dies to make tags. It is a single Die that cuts a round tag (as I used for the front of the card), a rectangle tag with a pull out slot, and a narrow oval tag with detailed stitching included. I plan on cutting quite a few of these in different colors for Christmas gift and card use to come!

The sentiment is probably considered a “builder” type sentiment. I loved the single Merry on the front. For the inside I used the Merry again and then added Christmas underneath. This is one of the reasons that I love photopolymer stamps. You can use the stamps in the way you need to use them. The inside is sweet and I added a floral sprig to match. All are part of the Stamp set. Here is a view of the inside of the card.

Extras

To complete the card I added a couple of other products. The smaller circle holding the stocking (which is part of the stamp set with matching Die) is a 1 3/4″ Circle Punch. To finish the tag I added a Vera Bradley tie using the Secret Sea Ribbon. I love Secret Sea anything and especially that it is in this DSP. Then for the front “merry” I used the Three Banner Punch to highlight it. The finishing touch are some embellishments in White which are difficult to find sometimes. These are from the Natural Matte Dots. They are all more earth tone dots. I decided to scatter them around fairly widely to spread the White out a bit.
