I have a simple and fun birthday card. This one uses bits and pieces of leftover papers and embossed card stock. Plus one of the inexpensive stamp sets for the fun part.
Stamps
This cute stamp set is called the Enjoying Little Things set. And it is just that. The pieces are little, except for the two larger stamps, and are all fun and cute. I chose the bold Happy Birthday from the set. A bonus is that this stamp fits the 2 2/8 Circle Punch. Punches always make the process quicker and easier. I also used a retired 1″ Circle Punch for the cake.
To add some texture to the card I stamped the partial checkerboard looking stamp down the right hand side. It is tone on tone of the Peach Pie. I also used it, stamped off first, behind the cake so as not to have white on white so the cake popped a bit.
Papers and Extras
The pretty White and Gold semi checked paper is from the Nature’s Sweetness Designer Series Paper. Because it was on my desk already, I used the Pecan Pie piece that has been embossed using the Plaid Embossing Folder. This folder is awesome in the details. Plus it is just now back in stock! And the card base is Peach Pie card stock to soften the darker colors.
To finish the card I always like some bling. Since these colors are a little darker than my norm, I wanted some extra sparkle. I chose the Adhesive Backed Sparkle Gems. These are amazing. They are sparkly and flat. Plus there are gold, silver and black in two different sizes of each.

Fun Fold cards are my favorites. And this one is a fun twist on a simple fold. I cased from another demonstrator, Elizabeth Price, and she named it a Kickstand card.
The Fun Fold
This fold is quick to create. It begins with a 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 card stock that is scored at 4 1/4. I used Boho Blue for my card base. The “fun” part comes next. Place one end that measures 5 1/2 on the Paper Trimmer at 1 1/4″ and cut down to the score line. Flip the card over and cut at 1 3/4 on the opposite side. You are making the top section of your card into three sections. (NOTE: You do not have to make the cuts the same as mine with one side larger. They could be 1 1/2 on each side.) The photo above shows the center section with the focal layer attached. And here is the open view.
To create the the center flap or kickstand, add DSP measuring 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 to the top of the other two sections. You can see what I am describing in this above photo and the next one. The plaid paper is the back side of the clouds.
The kickstand , the DSP adhered to the cut sections, and then the opposite side of the DSP allows you to have three places to decorate. That is in addition to the inside sentiment / signature part. More is generally better in my book.
Stamps and Dies
The stamps used are from the Playing In The Rain stamp set. They are stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored with a variety of Stampin’ Blends. For the sentiment White layer, I added some rain, which is included in the stamp set. As well as the sentiment from it. The rain is stamped using Pool Party Ink. There are matching Dies for animal shapes and a few extras. The circles are from the Spotlight On Nature Dies. These are just large enough to fit the characters and then layer well to not see the one on the lower layer. I did use a punch as well. The strip of extra paper for the flower layer is punched on each end using the Happy Labels Punch.
Papers
The DSP was chosen as part of the theme of playing in the rain. I thought these clouds fit perfectly. This sheet of DSP is from the Take To The Sky Designer Series Paper. The inside gray plaid does not really fit the theme, but works with the other colors. Boho Blue was my choice of colors to pull from the clouds and as the card base. To emphasize the smaller flower layer, I added a strip from the Country Lace Designer Series Paper as a grounding piece for it. The soft tone matches the plaid.
This card is a bit on the thicker side with the different layers of added focal points. So I kept the bling to some thin ones. The clear bling on the front layer is from the Pecan Pie & Clear Ribbon Dots.

The Tune In Bundle is a quirky and fun one for some retro cards. The old TV consoles were like a main piece of furniture in a room. Now we have thin, large screens that can hang on the wall. My how times change.
Stamp Bundle
The Tune In Bundle is such a fun one. There are so many ways to use this retro looking set. Today’s card is a simple version. I kept the additions to a minimum for a cleaner look. I had shared another version a while back. You can see that wilder version by clicking HERE.
This card reminds me of the evening news, or even mid day, when something “special” happened. We would see the “News Flash” pop up. It is hard to believe that this and a newspaper were our means of information back then. That is why I kept this card fairly plain. The TV and antenna are cut with the matching Die set. As is the little stars around the card. The screen is also a Die cut of White that I used the Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blend in Light to scribble on. I think it gives it a bit of the old TV screen look. And the flashing design is also from the Die set.
Background
The background layer is the awesome Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder. This swirl of large and small dots definitely fits the retro look. It is a little like the tie die designs. This has been very popular and is out of stock. But is back either this week or next. I was not really interested in it originally. That is shocking to me now as it is so fun and flexible. Duh!! With the scattered star designs it became a perfect retro background.
Finishes
This card is a bit plainer that I normally do. So I gave it some added bling with the Sparkle Gems. These are Silver, Black, and Gold sparkle gems that create a great Bling. I added the silver to the stars and then some of the black ones scattered around for added bling. As a bonus these are flat so great for mailing without adding additional bumps on the card.
Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you have a great weekend.

I keep hoping for Fall, or Autumn, weather and the leaves to begin changing. That is not happening around here just yet. So I made my own for a friend’s birthday card. The Splendid Autumn DSP was the perfect Fall scene.
Papers
This card is mostly about the paper so that is my starting point today. The Splendid Autumn Designer Series paper has such wonderful scenes to choose from. I was looking for Autumn color and this sheet really has them. However I chose what may be considered an odd pairing to compliment it. The Cajun Craze thin layer is an expected choice. But the Lemon Lolly is probably not. Looking at the yellows on the left of the DSP, I held that against different yellow card stock. The Lemon Lolly was the definite one to help it pop. I admit it is a total opposite from the darkness of the Cajun Craze. They do work together and I am happy with the light and dark.
Stamp Bundle
There are only a couple of other pieces to this card besides the paper. To say it was quick and easy is an understatement. For a simple statement piece I went with the Keeping Tabs Punch Bundle. This set is one of two in the Annual Catalog that gives us Bundle options. You can either get a Die or a Punch. I chose the punch. This Tab is great for making little notebooks, or adding tabs to your catalogs. I thought it was a great small sentiment layer without needing frills to accompany it.
The tab is punched from Lemon Lolly as well. And then I stamped the small Happy Birthday from the stamp set. Since the tab folds easily, I simply folded it over the DSP and Cajun Craze pieces. As I said, Easy Peasy!
Finishes
This DSP is so busy that embellishments would be lost on it. I wanted to add a bit of texture though. The Bakers Twine Three Color Pack came to the rescue. It is a pack that carried over to the Annual Catalog. It contains a bright yellow, soft blue, and a pinkish coral. The colors actually match quite a few of our colors. I wrapped the twine around the layers twice and then tied a double bow. The last embellishment is a single bling. The Faux Glass Dots seemed a perfect fit. They are in Fall colors and I used the darkest of the orange color.

The Fun Fold I am sharing today is one I cased from Dawn Griffith. I made a few changes but the fold is the same. My card stars the Regal Floral Bundle and the Regal Winter Designer Series Paper. Oh My!!! This paper is fabulous.
Papers
To me the star of this card is not only the fold, but the DSP. This is the Regal Winter Designer Series Paper. It is in the Mini Catalog. I do not consider this Christmas paper, but any time of year paper. I rarely use Blackberry Bliss card stock it seems. But this paper fits perfectly with it. That is great as I will be making more with the different patterns. I have used two of the patterns here. The large fold is the Blackberry Bliss and the small fold is the more Misty Moonlight. I love both!
Here are the other two views of the card. You can see the Fun Fold of it.
This view shows the “hidden door”. It is a fold that keeps on giving! And it is opportunity to showcase stamps and additional DSP.
Stamps and Dies
The Stamp and Die bundle is the one which pairs with the paper. It is the Regal Floral. Although I have added a few stamps from other sets. Everything will be listed in the Supply List at the bottom of the post. The front sentiment is from the So Sincere stamp set. And the one inside the hidden door is from the Labeled With Love stamp set.
The flowers on the front are from the Regal Floral Bundle. Matching Dies make this so easy to make. The single little bud on the inside is also from that set. And the sentiment layer Die is from the Greetings of the Season Dies. It is a perfect size oval for a lot of our sentiment stamps.
How To Make It
The card is cased from Dawn Griffith and she has a great video that is very easy to follow along. I made a few tweaks to my version. Click Here to go to her video. I did a few things differently. I made the paper 10 9/16 X 3 1/2. Her’s is 10 1/2. The tiny bit less allows the door to close easily. And I centered the folded inner card on the inside back panel instead of lining up with the flap. Additionally I added the 1/4″ strip of DSP. That was initially cut off because I cut wrong! LOL!! After getting the card together, I decided it did not look equal on each side. So the strip was the perfect equalizer so to speak. If you have any questions that the video does not answer, please reach out to me. I will be happy to help.

This past weekend was our scheduled friends who are demonstrators weekend of stamping and fun. The hurricane put a damper on it. Not all of the ladies were able to get out of their states, and the weekend was cut short due to no power. In attempts to save our batteries we were only texting and calling home briefly. It wasn’t until we were home and able to see the news before we realized exactly how lucky we were to only be without power. My heart goes out to all of the people devastatingly effected by this storm.
I do have my cards to share with you though. Those of us who attended were able to make each others cards and still had lots of fun and laughs. The card I am posting today is another of the More Than Autumn Bundle. This set is such a keeper! It has components to fit so many occasions and seasons.
Stamps and Dies
The More Than Autumn Bundle is, as I have said many times, fabulous! All of the images are from this bundle. The cup, foam, cinnamon stick (or straw), and sentiments are from the stamp set. The images are all stamped using Cajun Craze Ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends. The foam is the only exception. It is stamped using Petal Pink Ink. I wanted it to seem like a light pumpkin color.
The images are all Die cut using the matching Die set. The leaves do not have a matching stamp. They are cut and look like the one on the right. However the center pops out as I used it for the left side of the cup. For the circles I used the Deckled Circles Dies. They are 4th and 6th largest. I trimmed off 3/4″ from the right side after layering them together. The cup is raised using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Sentiment layer
The sentiment was difficult to find a place for. So I created a stand alone pair. Both pieces are stamped onto the Basic Beige card stock and then layered on Petal Pink. For the Fall piece it is simple cut on the trimmer to even distances. The longer sentiment is the same and then snipped on the ends using Paper Snips to create the banner tip.
Paper and Finishes
The papers used were based on the piece of DSP. This is a reverse side of a sheet from the Snowy Scenes Designer Series Paper. I saw this piece and immediately thought it should be paired with this stamp bundle. All of the other paper choices were pulled from the DSP. The base is Calypso Coral with Basic Beige as the layer. With the exception of the Petal Pink for the sentiment layer of course.
The finishes were kept simple since the cup layer was quite a few pieces. I simply added a scattering of the Faux Glass Dots. These come in a couple of Fall colors. I chose the one that closest matched my card colors. And then left them out of the box when I packed for the retreat! DUH!!!
Thank you for stopping in today. I hope all of you are safe.

The new Season of Elegance Designer Series Paper is the star of today’s card. It is not only for Holiday cards though. I have paired it with Spotlight on Nature to show just that.
Papers
The Season of Elegance Designer Series Paper is part of the Season of Elegance Suite on page 25 of the Mini Catalog. This paper, as you can see, has quite a bit of gold flecks in it. I envision using this for Christmas cards, but saw this sheet that seemed more a milder green. So I paired it with Lost Lagoon card stock. To further carry that idea I used Lost Lagoon and Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write Markers for the flower color. These pull not only the Lost Lagoon but also the gold from the DSP. Of course I tend to add a thin layer between card stock and DSP. So the Basic White was used to also help the circle Pop.
Stamps and Dies
The Spotlight on Nature Bundle has been extremely popular. As soon as it is back in stock then it is gone again. No worries, it is scheduled to be back again the week of September 30. I chose the more simple edged of the Dies for the focal layer. It has just enough detail to not need a backing behind it.
The flowers are a simple technique of ink to rubber with Stampin’ Write Markers. I know this is not as common anymore since you can only purchase markers as a color family and not individually. However to me it is well worth having them. I used the markers of Lost Lagoon and Crushed Curry on the flowers. Then I came back and filled in with the Stampin’ Blends in Lost Lagoon Light and Daffodil Delight Light. The bit of splatter was to mimic the gold in the paper. It is Daffodil Delight Ink and the stamp is from the stamp set.
The butterfly was colored using the same Stampin’ Blends with the addition of a darker green. This is Shaded Spruce. It is fussy cut as there is not matching Die for the butterfly.
Finishes
To add some dimension to the card since everything is glued down, I raised the butterfly with Stampin’ Dimensionals. And of course there is a bit of bling. In this instance I wanted to add a bit more of the gold touch. These Gold Texture Adhesive Dots are new in the Mini Catalog. They fit my need for bling perfectly.

I have a two for one for you today. Generally it is just as easy to make two cards as one when we are creating. These cards were definitely easily made at the same time. They have a simple technique playing a large role in the creation.
Background and Colors
To begin with the background is not my normal starting point. However with these cards I kind of have to begin there. And you will learn my reason as we go along. I was looking to make a Fall card. Even though it is 90 degrees right now!! Where is my Fall weather!!! That being said, I still wanted a Fall card. I chose the colors based on that.
The colors chosen are Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie, and Crushed Curry. My idea was a simple “beginner” type “technique” card. To do this fun center technique I used Clear Block H. First I opened the Cherry Cobbler Ink and used the block to touch the ink pad about a third of the way across. Next I turned the block and opened the Pumpkin Pie ink. This time there was no way to get the ink only into the center of the block. Yes, I could have taped part of it off. But I went the simpler route. I inked the rest of the block by touching it to the crushed curry with the Cherry Cobbler hanging off the side. Then I used a damp paper towel to remove the last third. Finally I turned the block and inked that last section with Crushed Curry. (I did make sure it was dry from having wiped off the ink.)
To stamp on the Basic White card stock was only a matter of giving the inked block a little breath of life. In other words I huffed on it. Breath of life sounds so much better. LOL! After stamping the first time I thought there might be enough ink to stamp again. So I gave it more life saving breaths and stamped on the second piece. And there we have two backgrounds.
Stamps
These bright leaves are from the Caring Leaves stamp set. It is in the back of the Mini Catalog and is what I consider a sleeper set. I thought it was cute when I first saw it. But did not really think much after that. Then I saw other’s creations using it and had to look again. Now I am in love with this set.
The outline for the leaves are not totally closed. This gives them a very artistic look. And the filler stamps have the definition to them that leaves shading in places. I used the same inks for the fillers as I did the background strip. But I stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black for the outlines. I am happy with how it turned out. This sweet sentiment is also from the stamp set. It is stamped using Cherry Cobbler Ink.
Finishes
To keep these cards pretty simple I went with all the same colors for the layers as well. One has Cherry Cobbler base with a Crushed Curry layer and the other is the opposite. To give a touch of some bling, I turned to the Regal Foiled Adhesive Dots. These are so pretty with the gold flecks. I used the darker reddish ones. There are a trio scattered around each card.

I have a mix of Bright colors to share today. And what better to make a birthday card with! The colors make a simple card really pop.
Stamps
The paper on this card is so loud and bright that I kept the stamping fairly simple. The sentiment layer is all there is on the front. Both of these stamps are from the Friends For Life stamp set in the Annual Catalog. I generally go for sentiments that have mixed fonts, as that is my favorite look. But this one is just a simple, happy looking Happy Birthday. Plus the little hearts add just the right “extra” touch. The sentiment is stamped using Azure Afternoon Ink to pull the blue from the papers. And the hearts are stamped with Lemon Lime Twist Ink which is also in the papers.
Punches
There are two different punches used here. The first is the sentiment layer. That is the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch. I like the different shape from square and oval. We previously had a smaller version of this punch and hated to lose it. Now we have an even better one.
The second punch is for the greenery. This one is the Bough Punch. Again, it is a great punch to have on hand for some quick elements behind a sentiment or focal layer. Plus it punches two different leaves at the same time. I have three of the larger leaf and only one of the smaller one. It is in orange at the top of the sentiment. These are also punched using the DSP on the left side of the card. Getting the different shades of color is an added bonus to the card.
Papers
This pack of DSP is full of bright and different designs. It is the Full of Life Designer Series paper that is a 6 X 6 pack in the Annual Catalog. It is part of the suite containing the Friends For Life set. I chose to use two different patterns just to break things up. The card base, as well as all of the colors, were pulled from these DSP pieces. I chose Berry Burst from the multitude of colors to be the card base. With the bright DSP pieces there was not a lot of need for other colors. So I opted to use a thin layer of Basic White to help pop the DSP from the Berry Burst. The card base is 4 1/4 X 11, scored at 5 1/2. And the Basic White layer is 3 3/4 X 5.
Finishes
There are two simple additions to the card. First is the single Regal Foiled Adhesive Dot on the sentiment layer. The second is the thin bow behind the layer. This is the light blue from the 3 Color Pack Bakers Twine.

Yesterday’s card was using a few stamps from the More Than Autumn Bundle. So today I have a complete card using this awesome creation. Additionally this one is a square card.
Stamps and Die Bundle
This card uses quite a lot of the stamp images in this set. And I love that there are matching Dies for most, plus a few more. Since I am not a big coffee fan, I went with Hot Cocoa instead of the coffee for my drink. The fact that there are several beverage names in the set is an added bonus. For the Cocoa I used Foam Adhesive Sheet added to the Pecan Pie card stock before Die cutting. It makes adding the dimension so easy! There are not Dies for the “&” or the doughnuts. I used a small circle punch for the “&” and fussy cut around the “doughnuts”. For the first part of this multiple sentiment, I kept it simple with straight cuts.
The doughnuts are stamped and colored using Stampin’ Blends in Pecan Pie and Peach Pie. Then cut using the matching Die. For the cocoa I stamped the cup onto a piece of DSP before Die cutting. The foam is stamped on Very Vanilla using Wild Wheat ink. Pretend that is a cinnamon sprinkled whipped cream!
Papers
The card base is Pecan Pie card stock measuring 8 1/2 X 4 1/4 to make a 4 1/4 square card. I wanted to be a little different on this one. With the more Fall colors, I opted to pair it with Very Vanilla instead of Basic White. I find I rarely use Very Vanilla and need to rectify that. That layer is cut to 4 X 4.
The DSP is an Online Exclusive. It is the Iconic Celebration Designer Series paper. This paper is fabulous. It has sheets that work for Fall, Winter, Christmas, New Year, and into Valentine’s Day. With a couple of more generic mixed in. It is a pack of 6 X 6 paper. Both of the DSP pieces are from this pack. This piece is cut to 3 X 3. Since it was cut smaller, I allowed the cocoa and the doughnuts to hang over the edge onto the Very Vanilla.
Finishes
This card is a pretty busy one. Because of that I was not really sure about the embellishments. I opted to go along with the Fall colors and went with a couple of colors from the Speckled Dots embellishments. The darker color is in the center of the cup and then two lighter ones around the sentiments.
