Welcome to the Pals’ Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here because we made some great projects for our Retirement Fun Fold Party – showcasing our favorite products from the Holiday Catalog that will be leaving us forever. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.
I used the Holly Jolly Christmas stamp set for my card. I love coloring and he is perfect for that. I have made a gift card card holder for this project. I love the fold that makes the gift card, as it can be done in several different directions. It is a go to for me all year round.
The modified version I made is still super simple to do. Here is another view of the inside.
Instead of it being the normal sideways, I added a piece to the back and folded it over to create a regular layered card look from the front view.
Gift cards are so important for me this time of year that I wanted to make one a little different.
Here is how I added the back piece.
To finish off the coloring, I added the Shimmery Crystal Effects to Santa’s fur. It gives just a touch of shimmer and some shine.
Measurements:
4 1/4 X 9 3/4 scored at 5 1/2 and 8 1/4
navy 3 3/4 X 5
DSP 3 1/4 X 4 1/8
Vanilla 3 X 3 7/8
Extra piece of Cherry is 4 1/4 X 3 1/4 scored at 1/2 on the 3 1/4 side
Strip of gift card is DSP 4 x 1 1/4 and vanilla 3 3/4 X 1
Thank you for stopping by today, I hope you will leave a comment with your thoughts on today’s twist to a regular gift card holder.

Besides the great FREE SHIPPING Sale for tomorrow, it is also the Pals Blog Hop. We will be focusing on the Holiday Catalog. So stop in and get some ideas for the great products that are going away. I have the End Of Year Clearance link at the bottom, or you can just press the Shop Now button at the top and go directly to my online store. You can choose the different sales, products, etc from there.
For today’s card I am focusing on one of my favorites from the Holiday Catalog. It seemed the perfect choice for today’s post. This cute Elf is on the “going away list”. I think he is adorable and have enjoyed making several projects with him. He is on all of my Christmas Tags for my gifts.
I adore this little elf. He is taking a short break from Christmas Toy making! The layout of this card is similar to the Thinking of You from yesterday. This time I did use the Scoring Blade on the new Paper Trimmer. It works wonderfully. I only scored at the 1/2″ line all around. And I used the raised side instead of the indented side. This gives a very different look I believe.
I used a variety of the Stampin’ Blends for the elf and sign. I went with Bright colors on this little guy. And I finished it off with a Bright Granny Apple Green Ink for the sentiment.
Thank you for stopping by today. Please check back tomorrow for the Pals Blog Hop.

Stampin’ Up! likes to promote the #simplestamping, or stamping for beginners. I love the look that simple stamping gives. It is not “PLAIN”. The simple stamping is more of limited product use, like a new stamper would have in their craft space.
Today’s card is a #simplestamping, but I do not think it is plain at all. I hope you will give this one a CASE and see what you come up with.
I love this card and how elegant it looks. With a rhinestone in the center of the dandelion, it would be perfect. But I wanted to stay with the definition of the simple stamping, which is Stamp, Paper, and Ink.
I used my Simply Scored to do the scoring around the centerpiece. You can use the new Paper Trimmer and get the same results. The score blade on the new trimmer is a wheel instead of a blade as the old trimmer had. It scores much deeper and would be a great double use of the trimmer. I used the Simply Scored before I thought of the new trimmer. I did try with the trimmer and it worked perfectly.
The only thing the centerpiece has that is not just stamped and layered is that it is raised using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Little Tip: I always place one in the center of a piece like this to keep the center from sagging. You don’t even have to remove the backing to stick the center one, just use it as a dimension.

The Feels Like Frost 6 X 6 Designer Paper is just beautiful. It is so realistic looking that you just say “Wow”. So it does not take much to add to that paper for a super nice card to appear. That is what I did today. I turned the Frost paper into a birthday card. I was thinking outside of the box and away from the expected Christmas or Winter card.
For a color to pair with the DSP, I took the piece I had cut and went down my paper files. I found a few that were okay matches, but when I came to Purple Posy I knew it was the one. Yes, I hate that the ink for Purple Posy never worked out, but the other products are still wonderful.
The ribbon is Purple Posy Scalloped Linen Ribbon. That ribbon is available in all of the 2019-2021 In Colors. The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Birthdays, another of my “go to” stamp sets.
Thank you for stopping by today. Please come back on Monday for more projects.

I am late in sharing this cute little box. I made it as a roommate treat for OnStage Atlanta last month. It is the perfect size to hold a variety of items. I filled this one with different chocolates.
This is the Perfect Parcels Die, which is part of the Parcels & Petals Bundle from page 27 of the Annual Catalog. This box is pretty easy to fit together and would be great to share goodies with co-workers and friends over the holidays.
Here is another view.
The box is cut using Mossy Meadow Card Stock. I wrapped it with a strip of Garden Lane Designer Series Paper. The bow is the beautiful Shaded Spruce and Gold Striped Ribbon.
The sentiment is from #Elfie, my go to for a little gift tag! I added one of the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots that was from the Christmastime Is Here Suite of Products.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you will come back tomorrow for another new project. And don’t forget the Year End Closeout sale, some of the products are going quickly!

I have a sneak peak of a gorgeous stamp set from the upcoming Mini Catalog. (The Mini Catalog is the new name for the Occasions Catalog – – Actually it is a new / old name as that is what they used to be called.)
I love how soft this looks. Also it is a great pairing of the old / new and mix & match that I love with Stampin’ Up! products. I needed a birthday card and did not want it to have a Christmas look. And I had all of the new products laying on my desk to organize. Of course that is where my eye went to begin creating.
The pretty flower is from the Forever Blossoms stamp set you can order in January. It is stamped on Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper in Smoky Slate Ink. I wanted a soft look to go with the soft colors of the papers.
I paired the Petal Pink card stock and DSP with Soft Sea Foam card stock. I added touches of color to the stamped flower just to show a little definition. The sentiment is from Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and is stamped in Smoky Slate as well.

The list below this picture is something new. Several of the Holiday Catalog items were so popular that Stampin’ Up! has decided to do an experiment. The listed items will be carrying over to the NEXT 2020 Holiday Catalog. Yes, they will be in the 2020 Holiday Catalog. The sad part is they are not orderable between the end of this Holiday Catalog and the beginning of the 2020 Holiday Catalog.
If you have any questions, please reach out to me and I will do my best to answer your questions.

I made this card before I realized that the Christmas Gleaming designer paper was out of stock. I apologize, but you could use any of the beautiful DSP. The thing I love most of all is that it is another pretty quick card to make.
Once you disect the card, you see how it is pretty straightforward. I used the Copper Foil as the extra bling, not that the DSP didn’t already have enough!!
The base of the card is Thick Very Vanilla card stock. The Copper Foil Strip is 5 3/8 X 2 1/8 and the DSP strip is 5 1/4 X 2. The Copper Foil circle is punched using the 2 1/4″ Circle Punch. I punched more of the gorgeous DSP using each of the two sizes of the ornament punches. One is adhered with snail and the other with a dimensional to give it depth. The sentiment is simply stamped in Night of Navy Ink and cut with paper snips. Easy Peasy!!!
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you will stop back tomorrow for another new project as well as the debut of the new catalogs. They will be available on the side bar of the post for you to see. I hope you are as excited as I am.
If you cannot wait to order, I have a host cost listed just below! By placing an order with me, I will send you a little gift with a $50.00 order.

I love the Wrapped In Plaid 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper Stack. I have used it so many times since it debuted. At Brian King’s Fall event we did a card swap. I received probably the cutest of the Wrapped In Plaid cards. I have cased it for you today. The one I received was fro Jackie Hardy, a Demonstrator from Florida.
This is a super quick and simple card that is is just adorable. At least I think so!! I used this card for a card buffet at a friend’s church. Many had never stamped before so I needed quick and easy. This one was very easy and loved as well.
The focal Whisper White layer is 4 X 2 3/4. Punch the tree using the Pine Tree Punch from the Perfectly Plaid Bundle. Then stamp Merry Christmas from the stamp set. The little curly is from Merry Christmas To All stamp set and was the perfect finish. I cased that from the other card as well. I topped the tree with a star from Star Design Elements.
As I cut paper, I switched the background behind the plaid to a solid that best suited each plaid piece I was using. They are layered onto Thick Whisper White. Cute and quick is a winner!!
Thank you for stopping by today. Wednesday is the debut of the Sale A Bration Catalog and the January – June 2020 Mini Catalog. I hope you are as excited as I am! If you do not have a catalog and would like one, and do not currently have a demonstrator, please let me know. I would love to send one your way.
