The card for today is a sympathy card for the family of a long time friend. It is a mix of unexpected products. I have surprised myself by trying a technique that I have recently seen on different media pages. It is embossing on a window sheet.
DRYEMBOSSING
The photo may not be clear unless you zoom in, but on the left side of the card you should be able to see the shine of the window sheet. As I mentioned, I have seen different products, besides cardstock, that are being dry embossed of late. I decided to try a window sheet. Actually it is the thinner of the clear plastic the photopolymer stamps are attached to. Needless to say I am happy with the result. You do need to look closely to see the detail. But overall it is like looking through old glass that is a bit wavy if you know what I am referring to.
For the embossing folder I used the Damask Designs that is part of the Beautiful Gallery Suite. It pairs wonderfully with the painting type DSP of the Beautiful Gallery DSP. As it reminds me of just a bit old timey. I was pleasantly surprised at the detail on this thin plastic. And that it did not really warp the plastic. That is a win as a first try! I was very cautious in adhering the window sheet after recalling adhesive showing through on vellum. So I used a very thin layer of liquid glue around the edges and pressed down for a bit longer than normal. It worked perfectly.
STAMPS
This sweet and simple sentiment stamp is the only stamping on the front. I wanted the paper and embossing to shine. And it does shine!! This stamp is from the Beautiful Motifs stamp set. The simple font , that is just a bit thicker, is perfect. It seems to stand out just the right amount.
PAPERS
The gorgeous rose pattern paper is from the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper. With the new Cloud Cover as the main color, and Secret Sea as the matching, how could it go wrong. I love both of these colors. To compliment both colors I used Cloud Cover as the card base with Secret Sea as a thin layer. The touch of Basic White for the sentiment really pops from the busy pattern.
EXTRAS
There are two Extras and both are included with the sentiment. First is the fabulous Cloud Cover Faux Linen Ribbon. This is a nice and soft ribbon and is just thick enough to hold up as I have used it in wrapping around the card. The second Extra is one I have used a couple of times already. It is the 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls. I used the Secret Sea color today. There are shades of each of the new In Colors included.

Unfortunately we do need sympathy cards. I thought the new Beautiful Gallery DSP would be great since I have been using, and loving it, lately. And I added a few other extra products.
STAMPS& DIES
This gorgeous peony stamp is from the Gallery Blooms stamp set with the matching Gallery Blooms Dies to cut it out. I paired it with the Impressions Abloom Die for the oval background. It is in two pieces as you can see. I did not realize that when I cut it for the first time. DUH! But I figured a way to add the Mossy Meadow border around the white.
To complete the stamping, I added a simple sympathy statement. This one is from the Unbounded Love stamp set. This set has sentiments for most occasions. Plus it has a matching die set.
PAPERS
The papers are as much the star of the card as the die cut image. There are two sheets , or strips, from the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper. Both are the “back” of the painting type prints. I had the idea to color the flowers on the left side strip. By using Petal Pink Light Stampin’ Blend for the flower and then Flirty Flamingo Light Stampin’ Blend for the detail, I think it looks pretty good. The leaves are colored with Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. That matches fairly well to the right side strip of DSP.
For the card base I went with Gray Granite to pull from the flower outlines. And the layer is Petal Pink again. I rarely use this color and am very surprised how well I like it against the Gray Granite. It reminds me of the pink and gray 50’s / 60’s bathrooms!
EXTRAS
To complete my card I went with a new Bling. These are the Holographic Resin Dots. In person they really pick up the green colors. And since the flower is raised with Stampin’ Dimensionals the dots are not too tall.

The card for today is a quick and easy one that would work for most occasions by changing the sentiment. Sadly I needed a sympathy card. This fun paper and Bundle are great for quick cards.
Stamp Bundle
The Labeled With Love Bundle is a unique one in the Annual Catalog. It is one of two bundles that you have a choice of either a Punch or Dies to complete the bundle. Of course you could purchase the bundle and then add the other as an extra. I love Punches so that is the one I chose.
For this card I used the stamped outline for the punched image. And I added the little grouping of flowers. The flowers actually have a matching stem so you can stamp them in their proper colors. But I only wanted the flowers. Although the added stems would have been good as well.
The butterfly is part of the stamp set also. And there is a filler stamp to match it. I decided I liked the idea of stamping on the same DSP as the background. It looked better than I thought it would actually! That is always a nice surprise. It gives a softer look. I also stamped a second butterfly on the DSP and added it to the inside of the card. There are no dies for the butterfly, but they are quick and easy to fussy cut.
Sentiment
This sweet sentiment is from the Unbounded Love stamp set. That set is all sentiments and has ones for almost any occasion. I used a matching sentiment on the inside. And of course I love the font and strong script used. It really adds to the message.
Papers
The gorgeous DSP is the Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper. I suppose this would be considered one of the reverse sides. Whatever it is called, I love the mixed colors. To partner with these colors I went a bit off course. Instead of the exact colors, which are the new In Colors, I went a shade darker. The card base is Berry Burst with Coastal Cabana as the layer. And it is the tag color s well. NOTE: This DSP is part of the DSP sale during August!!
Finishes
To ground the sentiment, I added a strip of Petunia Pop ribbon. That is one of the colors from the DSP. The sentiment is then added with some Dimensionals, as is the butterfly. For the touch of bling, I used the 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems. I mixed the colors with the soft green and the soft berry color. All of the same color or a mix is fine with me!
Thank you for stopping by today!!!

The card I have to share today is a beautiful Flip Front Fun Fold that is a sympathy card. I hate making these, but they are necessary. And with the All About Autumn DSP it gives you a warm feeling.
Papers
The intention of this card was to focus on the stamp / punch bundle. But the paper really stole the show. This piece of the All About Autumn Designer Series Paper is a fabulous one. The walking through the woods is beautiful and perfect for a sympathy card. For the side panel I used the reverse of the front piece of paper. And the Wild Wheat really highlights the gold of the scene.
Stamps and Punches
The Heartfelt Hexagon is a new Online Exclusive bundle that I really like. It has stamps for a few different occasions which is great. The punch is the hexagon with the sentiment stamped on it. It reminds me of the Tailored Tag Punch, just a bit taller and fatter. The size is perfect for larger sentiments!
The hexagon is layered on the 2 3/8″ Circle. It needed something else and that circle seemed to do the trick. To give it a touch of bling, I added two of the Adhesive Backed Sparkle Gems. And for the inside sentiment I went to another stamp set. This one is the So Sincere from the Mini Catalog. It also is a multi-purpose sentiment set. Here is a view of the open card.
Fun Fold
This Fun Fold is a twist to what I call a “shortened” card. The card base is 7 1/2, instead of 8 1/2 wide with the height of 5 1/2. Score at 1″ and 4 1/4″ on the long side. As you can see from the inside view, the 1″ side is on the right and folds backwards to allow the card to open. The real trick is placing your sentiment layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals only on that 1″ panel. But I love how this keeps the card closed.
The layers are Very Vanilla cut to 3 X 5 1/4 and 3/4 X 5 1/4. Then the DSP is 2 7/8 X 5 1/8 and 5/8 X 5 1/8. I almost did only DSP instead of adding the Very Vanilla layer, but I like the lightness it adds. And it is aligned with the inside layer when open.
Thank you for visiting today!!

I love making cards and even the occasional sympathy card. They should be just as lovely and special as all of our cards. So this one, which is for a dear friend, was my first play with the Irresistible Blooms Bundle.
Stamps and Dies
The fun die in the center of this card is my most favorite from Stampin’ Up! right now. It is quite different from any other and really pops. The die is from the Irresistible Blooms Dies. I used the stamp set also, but it is on the inside of the card.
The front sentiment is one that fit my thoughts for this card perfectly. It is from the Potted Geranium stamp set. That set has some awesome sentiments and I will be sharing other cards with it soon.
Paper and Punches
The beautiful paper that is showing from behind the die cut is from the Hello Irresistible Designer Series Paper. That paper is simply beautiful! The different colors are amazing. And it has like an embossed resist look to it. This sheet showing is like it was sponged with soft pastels onto an embossed image. So very pretty!!!
The sentiment is stamped on the reverse of a paper in the same DSP pack. I love the soft Pastel look and went with all pastel colors actually. The card base is Soft Sea Foam card stock. And the layer is So Saffron. It is rare for me to use So Saffron but it is perfect in this case. Plus both of those colors are in that sponged look.
To finish the front of the card I needed something. Instead of die cutting leaves from the Die set. I used the Bough Punch. With a couple of Soft Sea Foam leaves and Petal Pink flower pieces it was complete.
Embellishments
The card is not finished without embellishments. So I miss -spoke above. By spreading some love with Enamel Dots, I was able to add a soft bling to the card. And since it is soft looking, I went a bit heavy on the bling! Those little round areas of the die cut just seemed to be calling for a little embellishment on each. But I did restrain myself and left a few empty.

Sharing the beautiful Sun Prints Designer Series Paper brings me happiness. And it can be the star of the card. That is the case for today’s quick, Fun Fold card.
Paper
The variations in colors of the Sun Prints Designer Series paper is so pretty! And that is an understatement. The pack is variations of Blue, gray and white. This piece is particularly appealing to me and is why I chose it for this card. Sadly a Sympathy cards was needed and I wanted it to be caring and pretty at the same time.
The DSP is paired with a color I rarely use. It is the Gray Granite. This color has a brownish tone to it compared to say Smoky Slate, which has a silvery tone. And either of these would work with this DSP. But the Gray Granite is maybe a touch softer so it seems to pull out the softer shades in the paper.
Stamps
There are two wonderful stamp sets used on this card. The first is the set for the sentiments. It is an awesome stamp set named Very Best Occasions and is in the Mini Catalog. Better yet is that it is paired in a bundle with the Very Best Trio Punch. The punch was used in a card last week for decoration on the focal layer. For a quick and beautiful edge to a layer, I highly recommend the punch and these sentiments are a nice mix of different occasions.
The second stamp set is the Nature’s Print stamp set. To give some beauty to the White part of the card which shows above the sentiment flap, I used one of the floral stamps. It is stamped in Gray Granite Ink and then stamped off before stamping the White layer. This gives quite a bit softer shade of color. But you still get the definition of the stamp.
Card Design
This card qualifies in my book as a Fun Fold. It is a quick and easy one to do, which is a super bonus. The card base is 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 and scored on the 8 1/2 side at 4 1/4. Then you cut off 2″ from the front flap. Save that piece because it becomes the little flap! Fold that 2 X 5 1/2 piece in half and burnish the fold. Then adhere half behind the White piece prior to adding the White inside layer.
The DSP pieces are 1 7/8 X 5 1/8 and 2 3/8 X 1 5/8. Each of these pieces is layered onto a piece of Basic White that are cut 2 X 5 1/4 and 2 1/2 X 1 3/4. The inside White layer is cut 4 X 5 1/4. As a finishing touch, the front sentiment layer, is stamped using Gray Granite Ink. The Double Oval Punch is used to cut the sentiment and the background scalloped layer. This is probably my most used punch! And this may be my card requiring the least number of supplies I have ever made!! 🙂
Here is a look at the open card.
