I am late getting my St. Patrick’s Day card out, but the day is not over yet! This has always been one of my favorite holidays. I am half Irish and love everything about it. So I had to share a card with the Lucky Clover set.
Stamps
The Lucky Clover stamp set is one that is simply fun! I love the shamrocks / clovers, the sentiments, along with the little extras that are included. It is part of a Punch Bundle, but sadly the Clover Punch was seriously popular. And it was not able to be restocked in a timely manner to be back before today. However, these clovers are really quite easy to cut out. I did both he large and the small one with no trouble.
The front sentiment is from the set as is the inside sentiment. I really love the inside one, as it is a perfect friend statement. And I added the little clover to go along with it. Here is the inside view.
Papers
To get all of the green I wanted, I went a bit wacky with my choice of papers. Both of the DSP are from the Flowers & More Designer Series Paper from the Mini Catalog Host rewards. I love this paper and I know you can tell since I have used it quite a lot! But I found two different bright greens that I love, and then pulled the Shaded Spruce from the darker one. I believe Shaded Spruce is a perfect Irish Green. And I love the Parakeet Party also.
Dies and Embellishments
To add some extra to my bold DSP choices, I used the Scalloped Contours Dies to add the scallops to the striped piece. For the sentiment, I used the larger of the Double Oval Punch for some additional scallops. The Balmy Blue Ink may seem a bit out of place. It is pulled from the darker of the DSP and breaks up the greens a bit.
As a way to add some brightness, I added the Parakeet Party Metallic Ribbon to the card. And gave it a double bow. For some more Parakeet Party, I colored a few of the Pearls Basic Jewels with the Dark Parakeet Party Stampin’ Blends and spread them around the card. Actually I added more than I normally do. But hey, this is a holiday!!

Today’s project is part of a Fun Fold Hop. I hope you will continue on from me and share the love with the other designers. We all love comments and to know if you like our Fun Folds.
My card is a version of a fold I made a few years ago as Christmas cards. Not sure why I have waited this long to recreate it. The Friendly Gnomes and Lucky Clover were my inspiration for this fun card. They create a sweet Luck and Love card.
Stamps
You can see that I used a mix of the Friendly Gnomes and the Lucky Clover to create my little scene. The Friendly Gnomes are just so darn cute. I love the look of the gnomes and since I love to color it was a great choice for me. The Gnomes Dies from the Holiday Mini carried over and fit the little guys in this stamp set. Also the little flower on the step is from the Friendly Gnomes set. To give the Gnome a little background, I punched a piece of Petal Pink with the Decorative Label Punch. It gives some strength to him standing up.
I hate that the Clover Punch sold out so quickly. But it is really not needed if you use the stamp. As long as you don’t mind a bit of cutting, you are good to go. And the shape is such that it is not at all a detailed cut. I used both the large and the smaller clover. Giving the Gnome a little clover for his hat seemed to really tie the two together. The Good Luck and large clover are cut with the Label Me Fancy Punch. The sentiment is over to the right to leave room for the clover to hang on the left side. And the clover received a little extra love with a Heart Pearl in it’s center.
Papers and Colors
The DSP used is from the Annual Catalog paper Happy Forest Friends. The woodsy paper fit perfectly with the gnomes and clovers. I used two different sheets. In the photos above you can see that the closed card has two pieces of the woodsy paper. And the “step” is the second one showing a green forest floor look.
All of the other colors came from the woodsy paper. I went with Mossy Meadow for the card base, but softened that with Petal Pink as the layers. The heart and the Good Luck are both Calypso Coral, again pulled from the DSP.
Measurements
The Mossy Meadow card base is 8 1/2 X 5 1/2, scored at 4 1/4 and 6 3/8. On the front, the Petal Pink layers are 2 pieces cut to 5 1/4 X 1 7/8. The 2 woodsy DSP pieces for the front are both 5 X 1 3/4. For a base on the inside of the card, there is a Petal Pink layer measuring 5 1/4 X 4. It has Basic White layer at the top cut 5 X 1 3/4 and then the grassy DSP piece is the same size. But the grassy piece is raised using Stampin’ Dimensionals. This allows the front fold to “stop” against it to hold the card in position. This is a super quick and easy card to put together as it is simple measurements. I hope you will give this a try!

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s March Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are having fun with our stamping favorites – our favorite themes for seasonal cards and projects. This month’s projects feature Flowers & Fauna, a brilliant starting point for so many projects. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
Happy Hop Day, and Happy St. Patrick’s Day! I have a 2 for 1 deal for you today. I couldn’t Not make a St. Patrick’s Day card, and I wanted to follow the Hop theme with a pretty Easter card. Even though both cards follow the title, you get two cards! And I apologize in advance for a longer than normal post.
First is my Hop card. I made an Easter wreath like I would place on my door.
I have been using quite a lot of the Highland Heather of late. But when I think of Easter, it is my go to. My Mom loved purple and would always dress me in purple when I was young. All of my Easter dresses were purple!! So you understand my color scheme.
All of the wreath items are from the Arrange A Wreath Bundle. I stamped the base of the wreath, then added a die cut wreath on top for texture. The eggs and flowers are also from the bundle. As is the sentiment!
I decided to use the Stitched Rectangle Dies to add a bit to the layers. And to tie in the sentiment, I used one of the smaller dies. I had to adjust the size, which is fairly easy with the stitched rectangles. There are several videos out there showing how to do it. Basically you just place the paper back into the die at the desired length and match up the already made stitches and the die. Easy Peasy!
For the finishing touches, I added a Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon bow to the wreath. I also added some of the Resin Hearts to the centers of the flowers and one on the sentiment banner.
Here is my St. Patrick’s Day card. I used the Jar of Flowers Bundle for the jar. I die cut the shamrocks by cutting flowers from the Pierced Blooms Dies and cutting off some of the petals. The white flowers are from the Pierced Blooms also. The background is the gorgeous Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper.
The finishing touch is the tag and bow. The tag is from the Hydrangea Dies. I have used it quite a few times. It is the perfect size! I added the White Baker’s Twine from the Snail Mail Trim Combo. It is wrapped around the jar and then an added bow.
I have the supply list for both cards at the bottom of the post! Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Renae Novak at Blessed By Cards. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!
