Hello Fall !

I love when Fall smells hit the air!  Although living in Atlanta we do not really get very much Fall.  But I am going to pretend for today’s card.

Merry Cafe’, 144965

Can you smell the pumpkin latte?  I love anything Pumpkin….pumpkin pie, pumpkin cake, pumpkin decorations!!  So when I saw this sentiment in the new Merry Cafe’ stamp set, I knew that would be the focus of my first card .

COLOR COMBINATION:

Thankfully the card is not as dark as these colors look !  Yikes…..  With sufficient white space it works I believe.  The DSP is Pick A Pattern Designer Series Paper.  It is bordered in black and black also borders the Whisper White to ground both of them.

I stamped and die cut the wrap for the cup, using the Coffee Cups Framelits.  Since that and the tag are raised, I chose to stamp the cup and lid directly on the whisper white.

The leaves are stamped in Crushed Curry , which is stamped off one time, just for a little cup decoration.  Linen Thread attaches the tag, which is from the Corrugated Elements accessories.  I adore those!  And the added heart is from the Regals Enamel Shapes.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I hope you have an awesome day.  I have the supplies I used listed at the bottom of the post.  You can click on any photo and be taken directly to my online store.

MEASUREMENTS:

Thank you for joining me today.  My card is made with a fabulous new set the Painted Harvest.  I cannot say enough good things about this set.  And it is probably the most forgiving set ever.  Of course I know you would never make a mistake on your cards!!  But this set truly does not show mistakes.

There are so many color combinations that you can try with this awesome sunflower set.  But I went with the traditional, more or less, colors today.  I wanted the colors to enhance the beautiful Copper Trim Ribbon and the Year of Cheer Specialty Washi Tape.  Wow!  This wash tape is gorgeous.  I only used two of the five designs.  They are a must have for Fall and  Winter.

COLOR COMBINATION:

I used the New Thick Very Vanilla card stock for the base of my card.  I added the Washi Tape and then aligned the stamped panel between the wash tape and the edge.  It is centered but to the side.  I mounted the stamped piece on Sahara Sand and Cajun Craze to help draw all the colors together.  The “splatter” is from the Touches of Texture stamp set. The sentiment is from the Painted Harvest stamp set and is punched out using the New Everyday Label Punch.  I just used the Cajun Craze Stampin’ Write Marker to go around the edge of the punched piece to give the illusion of another layer.

I hope I have inspired you to give this Painted Harvest set a chance once you get the Holiday Catalog in your hands!

Painted Harvest

I am so happy to share with you one of the upcoming stamp sets.  The Painted Harvest set will be in the Holiday Catalog which debuts September 1.  When I first saw the set I was not really excited.  But when I got it in my hands and could play with it….WOW!!  I love it.  Here is my first card with this cute set.

Stampin' Up! Painted Harvest, Stampinup, Jackie Beers, jackiebeers

Painted Harvest Bundle, 146021

This sunflower stamp is so fun to work with.  To get the different shading and layers, I stamped it with Crushed Curry, and each stamping I turned the clear block a quarter turn.  Basically I turned it so that each time I stamped a different side of the block was at the bottom.  The center is cajun craze and the splatter is Sahara Sand with the splatter stamp from Touches of Texture.  The extra splatter that you notice towards the bottom is Cajun Craze and I splattered using the marker with it’s cap.

The leaves are done with old olive and then Always Artichoke over the top.  The leaves are punched with the Leaf Punch which is part of the Painted Harvest Bundle.  The leaves and one sunflower are popped up with dimensionals.

COLOR COMBINATION:

MEASUREMENTS:

  • The base of Cajun Craze is 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 folded in half
  • The Always Artichoke is 5 1/4 X 4
  • The Cajun Craze is 4 3/4 X 3 1/2
  • The Very Vanilla is 4 1/2 X 3 1/4
