Garden Flowers for Pals Blog Hop

Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our Design Team is showcasing “Gifts From the Garden.” We hope you enjoy and will be inspired by them! Don’t forget to leave comments! We love hearing from you. At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

I took the theme of our hop literally for today’s project.  I made a flower bouquet using the Jar of Flowers Bundle.

My background is from the Brights 6X6 Designer Series Paper.  I chose to go with the wood look in Poppy Parade.  The Granny Apple Green is also used in the bouquet and works perfectly with the brightness of the DSP.

I love the Jar punch and the Mason Jar Shaker Domes.  They remind me of the old Ball or Mason jars that we used for a variety of things when I was a child.  They were always the vase of choice for pretty garden flowers.  The Shaker Domes really add the look of the real jar of flowers.  I did stamp behind the dome to give the water illusion, as well as added the stems from the flowers.  I did not add any shaker items to my flowers.

The flowers are from the Jar of Flowers Bundle as well.  I stamped, colored, and then fussy cut the flower arrangement.  The flowers are raised using Stampin’ Dimensionals for some added depth.  The flowers at the top of the jar are curved a bit.  I used my bone folder to bend them a little so it looks like they are hanging over the edge of the rim.   I also added a few of the Gilded Gems to the center of the sunflowers.

The finishing touch is the linen thread wrapped around the jar.  I added the bow to hold the tag.  The tag is from the Ornate Frames dies, although you cannot really see the tag top from the photo.  My “Love” is from the Field of Flowers stamp set.

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Mark your calendars for our next blog hop, which will be August 12th when our theme is “My Happiest Season.” The Design Team will showcase projects inspired by their favorite seasonal time of the year. Don’t miss the fun! Until then, please stay safe and have fun in your craft room

Ornate Garden

The Ornate Garden bundles and Designer Series Paper were available as a sneak peek before the annual catalog debuted last month.  I have used them in several posts.  Today’s card is one of the beautiful gold embossed floral pieces from the DSP.

This card was a fun one to make.  I got to do a lot of coloring!   I used a variety of Stampin’ Blends for my fun coloring.  And I decided after adding the ornate border, that I wasn’t even going to give this card a front sentiment.  I believe it stands alone quite well.

The ornate background is the Ornate Layers Dies.  I die cut it from Gold Foil paper.  The ornate layer has a center piece as well.  So I cut my colored piece down to the correct size and simply adhered it with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Sometimes it is difficult to adhere to the foil papers.

The base of this card is the new Just Jade.  I am growing more and more fond of this color.  It seems to have worked with every color I have placed with it..  Woohoo on this new color!

I rarely do a No Sentiment card, but am happy with this one.  I hope you like it as well.  Please come back tomorrow for the Pals July Blog Hop!  We will go live at 0530 ET.

Celebrate You

It seems I have a lot of friends with summer birthdays.  That is awesome though, because we have such great summery stamp sets.  For today’s card, I have CASED the catalog.  CASE can be defined a couple of ways.  It originally was Copy And Share Everything.  I like to thing of it as Copy the idea, layout, stamp set, then make it your own – then Share.

I CASED this from page 13 of the annual catalog.  I used the same products, just didn’t stamp the same and changed the sentiment.

I stamped the sunflowers with Crumb Cake Ink on Crumb Cake Card Stock.  I then used something I cannot even remember when I used it last.  I colored with the Watercolor Pencils!  I colored the flowers with a couple of different orange, yellow and white using the Blender Pen after each color.  I remember when the watercolor pencils were the main coloring method.  It was nice to break them out again.

The sentiment is stamped using Versamark Ink on Soft Suede Card stock.  I used White Embossing Powder and the Heat Tool to emboss the sentiment.  The bow is a couple of strands of linen thread.  Even though you cannot see it from the photo, the strands of thread are wrapped around the card beneath the sentiment as well.

For a finishing touch, I added a few of the Elegant Faceted Gems.  These are so pretty.  They are very soft colors where most of the dots and gems are pretty bold.  I felt like soft went well with this card.

Thank you for stopping by today!  I greatly appreciate it and love to hear from you.  Also, let me know if you have any questions regarding the Bonus Days special.

You Are Special

I have a tone on tone card to share today.  But first I want to let you know about the BONUS DAYS special for July.  (Can you believe that we are in July? YIKES!! )  The Bonus Days is explained at the bottom of my post.  But basically it is that for every $50.00 you spend July 1 – August 3, you receive a $5.00 coupon code that can be used from August 4 – 31.  Please read all of the information at the bottom.

So now on to to my card.  I am sharing my first card using the Tasteful Touches Bundle.

I went with a Tone on Tone color scheme.  All except the white card stock and ribbon is shades of blue.   And all of the stamps are from the Tasteful Touches stamp set.  You know I love cards made from just one set.

The background is the Hammered Metal 3D Embossing Folder.  I stamped the images prior to embossing.  Also, I obviously did not pay attention to the folder direction.  I ended up with the raised sections on the back.  After looking at it though, I decided I liked the “indented” look just as well.  So a new look from the embossing folder!

The blues I used are Pacific Point as the card base, with a layer of Whisper White to have the next color stand out more.  The embossed layer is Balmy Blue card stock.  The inks are Pacific Point, Balmy Blue, Misty Moonlight, and Pretty Peacock.  The Pretty Peacock may not technically be a blue, but I love it, so it is an honorary one! 🙂

The strip of ribbon is from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon pack.  I felt the need for a little more depth but didn’t want to add a bow.

The sentiment layer is a different look as well.  I stamped and die cut the sentiment.  I then turned the die over and used a pen to draw around the outside of the die.  I then fussy cut just inside the pen line to get a background for the sentiment.  This layer is finished off with a Frosted & Clear Epoxy Dot.  I added a couple to the center of the flower for good measure.

Thank you for stopping in  today.  I really appreciate it.  Please let me know if you have any questions about Bonus Days!  I would love to assist you.

The Little Things

Before I get to today’s project, I want to remind you that this is the end of June!  Wow, where has the time gone??  But the important thing about it being June 30th, is that the Starter Kit Special ends tonight!!  If you are interested in joining my team, I would LOVE to talk with you about the details of the Starter Kit.  There is NO obligation after purchasing the kit.  The idea is that you will love the products and discounts as much as I do.  So there is no further obligations.  And if you join by tonight, you get to choose a Bundle (Stamps + Punch or Stamps + Dies) as a bonus.  The most expensive bundle is $60.25!  That is pretty great bonus!!  So message me if you would like to know more.

Now, on to today’s project.  It is a pretty quick one.  It reminded me of the beach trip I was on two weeks ago.  Very simple and just enjoying the weather and the sand.

This is the Friends Like You Bundle.  It is almost two different stamp sets.  It has the curved edge with the palm tree but also a line of flowers and greenery.  I chose the simpler one for today.  I also did not use the die cut palm tree.  It would be attached to my “sand” about where I have stamped the trees.

I die cut the Crumb Cake piece as the sand, and snipped off the trees.  I used the splatter stamp from Forever Fern stamp set to add the definition on the sand.

You may not be able to see it very well, but I sponged the entire background of Whisper White with the Seaside Spray Ink.  I didn’t try to completely cover or equally cover it.  I wanted it to be more natural looking.

There is a die for the dragonflies I added beneath the sentiment.  I opted to just stamp them and keep it in the pretty simple mode.  To finish the “picture”, I added strips of the Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon to two corners.  This ribbon is so pretty and I was extremely happy when it carried over.  Thank You Stampin’ Up!!!

Thank you for stopping by today.  Please come back tomorrow for another new project.

Now is a great time to join my Blue Line Stars Team.  During June  purchasing the Starter Kit, which is a fabulous deal any time, is an even better Bang For Your Buck.  The regular cost of the Starter Kit is $99.00 and you receive $125.00 in products of your choice.  For this month, you get to add one of the Bundles listed in the flyer below.  It can be a Stamp/Punch Bundle, or a Stamp/Die Bundle.  The most expensive one is a value of $60.25.  And did I mention that shipping is FREE as well.  If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

A 3×3 Smile

I made this card as a 3X3 card because I am totally out of my Random Act of Kindness little cards.  Because of  the Covid I have not been going out in what seems like forever.  So I gave them to delivery people.  Now I need new and summer cards.

Even though my card is 3X3, this would work just as well as a full size card.  I am loving the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch.  We had a square one a couple of years ago that I really liked.  However, this one is more flexible because of the size.  I am hoping that it stays around for a while.

The sentiment is from the Lovely You Stamp set.  I colored the flower using Stampin’ Write Markers in Magenta Madness, Rococo Rose and Shaded Spruce.  Sadly, you cannot purchase individual Stampin’ Write Markers.  They are only available in color families, or In Color families. The In Color families are only 5 markers, so they are a bit less.  I stamped the Smile with the Magenta Madness Ink Pad.

The gorgeous background is a sheet of the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper.  It is cut to 2 7/8 square.  So I could was able to get 16 pieces from one sheet of DSP.  My RAK cards are back in stock. 🙂

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you have a great weekend.  Please come back on Monday for another new project.
