I have an old technique to share with you today . It is called Spotlighting. There are a few different versions of this technique. Mine is a very simple one.
My version of spotlighting is to draw a circle, or any shape, around a section of a stamped image. Then I only color the inside of the circle, leaving the rest of the image simply the ink color. For this card I used the second smallest of the Layering Circles Dies. I used my Black Stampin’ Write Marker , the hard tip, and went around the outside of the die.
The stamped image is from the Dragonfly Garden stamp set. Actually I used two images, the flowers and the swarm of dragonflies. I colored those images using Stampin’ Blends. All of the colors are listed in the supply list.
The gorgeous DSP is the Dandy Garden Designer Series Paper. I wanted the beautiful color and at the same time hated to not use the other side. It includes large and small dragonflies that are already colored. They are perfect to punch with the Dragonfly Punch. This stamp set bundles with the Dragonfly Punch.
I finished off the card with a triple strand of Linen Thread. I LOVE my Linen Thread for garden theme cards. I also added a touch of Wink of Stella to the dragonflies and the flowers. I hate that it doesn’t really show in the picture. It gives a touch of shimmer like they have some dew on them.
Here are the measurements for this card.
Base card of Granny Apple Green is 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 folded in half
Whisper White layer is 5 1/4 X 4
DSP layer is 5 X 3 3 /4
Granny Apple Green center layer is 4 3/4 X 2 1/4
Stamped layer is 4 5/8 X 2
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you are enjoying the new Mini and Sale-A-Bration catalogs. Please let me know if I can help you in any way. If you do not currently have a demonstrator, I would love to become your Demonstrator.

The Snailed It Bundle was the first set I wanted from this Mini Catalog. I think it is just so cute and definitely brings a Smile!! I love Smile cards.
I paired the Snail with the gorgeous Snail Mail Designer Series Paper. The hard part was trying to decide which of the paper to use! It is so cute!!
I chose the Bermuda Bay from the DSP as my background and then added the Snail Mail Combo Twine for the added touch. The twine is thinner than normal and great to work with.
I hope you are enjoying looking at all of the new products. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
All of the new items are not available yet for me to pull pictures for my supply list. They should be up tomorrow. I will try to remember to update the supply list then.

Hello everyone! I hope your New Year has started off well. Except for failing to finish this post and get it scheduled, I am wonderful !! 🙂
Today’s card includes two items from the upcoming Sale-A-Bration Catalog. I hope you have received yours. With the extra Christmas mailings, I believe they are behind in being delivered. Fingers crossed that you have yours now.
Here is the card I have to share.
The stamp is the Corner Bouquet. I stamped it in Granny Apple Green, to match the green in the paper. I then went over the fuller part of the leaves with the Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blend. It gave a softer look without as much white showing between the leaves and stems.
The second SAB item is the DSP. It is the Flower and Field Designer Series Paper. The colors are just as vibrant on all of the sheets as this one is. It definitely makes me ready for spring!
The flowers are from the Confetti Flowers Punch. This is a border punch, if you are not familiar with it. But I used the punched out flowers instead of a border. The flower colors are Bumblebee and Cherry Cobbler.
I went a bit overboard with the pearls! In some recent cleaning I found a couple of sheets of pearls from Stampin’ Up! that were quite a few years old. (Can you relate??) These sheets had some tiny pearls on them. So I decided these flowers would love those little pearls for the centers. I actually used two different sizes.
To finish the card I searched for an appropriate sentiment that was an “any occasion” type. I found it in the Enjoy The Moment stamp set. It is in the upcoming Mini Catalog. I used it last week. It has the seed pods from all over the world. I do recommend that one!!
Thank you for stopping by today. Sorry I was late, the old brain is still on vacation I believe. I do want to remind you that today is the last day you can order the Curvy Christmas stamp set and the Classic Christmas DSP from the Quite Curvy products I have listed below.
And the Mini Catalog plus Sale-A-Bration begin tomorrow!! WooHoo!!

I have a new card to share with you. But I wanted to remind you first of the Curvy Celebrations products. The Curvy Christmas stamp set and the Classic Christmas DSP will be going away next week. The Quite Curvy Bundle will be available in the upcoming Mini Catalog.
My favorite of this bundle is the Designer Series Paper. It has Winter and Anytime patterns on the paper. The card I am sharing with you today is using some of that paper.
The Designer Series Paper in the background is from the Classic Christmas DSP! The pattern is in all of the colors of the paper. I think it is a perfect background.
I paired this paper with the upcoming stamp set, Enjoy The Moment. This is not a set I would normally purchase. The images are all seed pods from around the world. They are all a sketch like the one I used today. They are all lovely, just not my normal choice. What sold me on the set was the sentiments! Now I love the entire set of course.
The sentiments are all just “perfect” ones. They are like the one I used today. “Friendship is found in simple things”. I just love that! In our crazy year, it is the simple things that have been the stars, at least for me.
Did you notice the bright green of the sentiment? I stamped it in Mossy Meadow Ink to match the card base. I then decided to give parts of the card some sparkle. I went over the top of the seed pod and the sentiment with Wink Of Stella. Oh My!!! It just gave some shine to the seed pod. But it made the sentiment really stand out. I was thrilled with an unexpected find. I would never have thought it would change the shade of the color and give it such brightness. Woohoo!! Now I want to try all of the colors to see which other ones change like this.
To finish the card, I added the Light Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blend as shading around the stamping. I also added the Mossy Meadow Braided Linen Trim. This trim is a dream to work with. It is the same as the Real Red Braided Trim in the current Mini, but much softer. The Red one is pretty stiff. The final touch was a few of the Elegant Faceted Gems.
As has been the case most of this week, some of the images of upcoming products are not available to me yet. So if my supply list is missing pieces, that is why.
I do have the measurements for you today.
Mossy Meadow card base is 5 1/2 X 8 1/2
Whisper White is 5 1/4 X 4
Classic Christmas DSP is 5 X 3 3/4
Mossy Meadow is 2 3/8 X 3
Whisper White is 2 1/8 X 2 3/4
Thank you for stopping by today. I really appreciate you following my cards. Be safe during this New Year debut!

I have another sneak peek to share. I have shared different stamps from this set previously. Actually I have even shared the DSP before. So it is a “Not totally new Sneak Peek!”
I used the leftover halves of the upcoming Annual Catalog 6X6 Neutrals DSP Pack. The other half, and other sides of the two DSP were used on the donkey card from last week. If you missed that card you can see it HERE
I knew I had left those pieces on my desk for a reason. (And not just because I didn’t put them where I should have!!) I wanted a background that was pretty but did not take away from the single flower. And the Color Family paper packs are wonderful for those type backgrounds.
The single flower is from the Garden Wishes stamp set. It is in the soon to be released Mini Catalog. I did the Marker To Rubber Technique to color this flower. Since it is Red Rubber, the Stampin’ Write Markers are the perfect way to add multiple colors prior to stamping. I use my Stampin’ Blends a lot more than the Stampin’ Write Markers, but I could not do without my markers. They are also great for touching up a color that did not quite stamp full enough.
The dandelion flower, I don’t want to call it a weed and hurt it’s feelings!, is the perfect size for a stand alone focal point. All I did to finish it was add one of the larger Gold Glitter Enamel Dots to the center. I then wrapped the White layer with the matching Bumblebee In Color Ribbon. I failed to say that my main colors are Bumblee and Just Jade. Sorry about that.
I have the supplies listed at the bottom of the page. However, the Garden Wishes stamp set and the Neutrals DSP (2021-2022) are not available for me to pull the pictures. Sorry!!
Thank you for stopping by today. I really do appreciate it and your comments. I hope you have a wonderful day.

Today I have a card to share that reminds me of my Mom. She loved Everything strawberry especially, but any berry was a favorite! I am thrilled to say that there are not one, but TWO wonderful berry stamp sets on the way. One is in the upcoming Mini Catalog, and the other is in the upcoming Sale-A-Bration catalog. And if that is not enough, there is strawberry / berry DSP as well! Oh My!!!
I am sharing the Sale-A- Bration one with you today. It is titled Berry Blessings. I have used quite a few of the stamps in the set. And I have used the DSP to partner it.
I used the Raspberry stamp today. I stamped the outline with Blackberry Bliss and then the solid inside with Rich Razzleberry. For the leaves, I stamped the outline with Shaded Spruce and the inside with Granny Apple Green. None of these pairings are ones I would have thought to put together! In looking at the colors in the Designer Series Paper, they were all part of the colors. So I thought I would give them a try. Especially the two on the berry work wonderfully! It reminds me of the light and dark on an actual raspberry.
Do you Love that plaid DSP? It is the back side of one of the berry papers in the Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper. It seems to make the rest of the card just Pop! My card base is Blackberry Bliss and the background for the stamped images and the sentiment are Rich Razzleberry. Another mix of the two colors.
I finished this card with some Rhinestones for some bling. I have a couple on a few of the berries and one by the sentiment.
I hope this card gets you excited about the upcoming Sale-A-Bration! The Berry Blessings stamp set plus the Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper are paired as one of the $100.00 sets. This means that if you place an order for at least $100.00, you can choose this bundle as your SAB Reward. It is definitely a favorite of mine!!
Please come back tomorrow for another Berry project. I do not have the photos of the stamp set or DSP from today. I do have the rest of the items I used int he supply list at the bottom of the post.
Reminder: The time to choose the Curvy Christmas and the Classic Christmas Designer Series paper is almost over. They will not be available in the upcoming Mini Catalog. They will be gone for good. The Quite Curvy Bundle will be available though.
