I have two versions of a Penguin Place card to share today. One is pretty simple and the other is using the same products with just a little addition.
Stamps
The Penguin Place Bundle is a wonderful Bundle! One of the things I love is that it is a Punch Bundle. I really prefer punches when doing multiples of a card. And this punch and stamp set allow you to punch just a piece of Black cardstock and a piece of White cardstock that you layer together. OR … you stamp the Penguin and punch it out as I did.
And is that sentiment not the cutest??? The matching sentiment is on the inside and says “It’s Like A Little Except A Lot” I think that is adorable.
Here is the 2nd version that has a bit added to it.
Technically, the only addition is the balloon and string. But the change of layout really amps it up a bit. The balloon is from the stamp set and is fussy cut. The sentiment is the same, I used the paper snips to cut the flag end.
Paper
The prettiest paper on this card in my opinion is the 2021-2023 In Color Vellum. And yes, I used it last week as well. This piece seems to show up better than the darker piece did. The die cut circle is from the Penguin Playmates Designer Series Paper. It is a Sale-A-Bration item. There are a couple of Sale-A-Bration papers that partner with Mini Catalog sets. I love this approach. Purchase the Bundle, with maybe a little bit extra products to reach the $50.00 and get the paper Free.

I love the various fun animal stamps that Stampin’ Up! artists come up with. They are always spot on in terms of their cuteness. When I saw the Counting Sheep in the Sale-A-Bration catalog I was drawn to one particularly. This one is the star of my card today.
I wanted to play along with a Color Challenge from Global Design Project. The colors are the ones I have used here today. They helped me to create the little barn yard scene. Here is the banner.
Paper
The paper that I picked for the color challenge are from the You’re A Peach Designer Series Paper. The sky and grass are the reverse side of some of the peach papers. As soon as I had my scene in my head, I knew which papers I needed and I think they are great. The card base is Pale Papaya, as is the sheeps lips and eyeliner!
The fence is made using Crumb Cake cardstock and cut with the matching Sheep Dies. I cut two pieces and they fit the size of my layer perfectly.
Stamps
This is the sheep that got my attention. I could just see her, with her eyeliner and lip gloss, being the center of attention. To further carrying that theme I placed her on top of the fence like she is performing, or maybe just needed to be seen!
The banner hanging on the fence is another stamp from the set. You Are Amazing is always a good stamp to have on hand. For this application, I stamped it and then rough cut some tears in the banner. I figure someone tried to eat it!
Finishing Touches
The final touch for this card was adding the Sun. It is also in the Sheep Dies and I love the stitching around the center. Since I have used it several times this week, you know I am loving the In Color Shimmer Vellum from the Annual Catalog. I used the Pale Papaya Vellum for the sun. It is finished off with a 2021-2023 In Color Jewel in Pale Papaya as well.

Sweet Treats are always welcome in my opinion. And Birthday Sweet Treats are even better because everyone knows that those treats have no calories!! Today’s card is one of those Birthday Treats.
Stamps
There are a mixture of stamp sets in making this card. The cake plate and dome are from the Sweets & Treats stamp set from the Mini Catalog. The stack of cupcakes is from the Measure of Love stamp set from the Annual Catalog. And the top cookie is also from the Sweets & Treats. All of these pieces are colored using the Stampin’ Blends. I have all of them listed in the Supply List.
Paper
The recipient of this card loves purple. So I found this piece of the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper as a perfect compliment to the touches of pink and purple in the cupcakes and cookie. Because the focal point is quite large, I kept the rest of the card fairly simple. It is Thick Basic White cardstock, the DSP piece, and the Basic White layer.
Finishing Touches
I tied the colors of the cake plate and dome together by stamping and coloring with Pool Party Ink and Stampin’ Blends. The Pool Party reminds me of the old fashioned carnival glass that my grandmother had. So to match that color with some bling, I used the Genial Gems. They are in a soft green and a soft gold. The green blends well with the Pool Party. You can never have too much bling, and it doesn’t show well in the photo, I added Wink of Stella to the cupcake wrappers and the center icing on the cookie.

Welcome to InKing Royalty’s August Blog Hop! During this year’s blog hops, we are having fun with our stamping favorites – our favorite themes for seasonal cards and projects. This month’s projects feature leaves and trees, so you are likely to find lots of inspiration for Autumn. We are excited to share our creations with you today! After you read my post, I hope you’ll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.
I love Fall / Autumn and always hope for the drop in temperature to be a good one. LOL!!! My card showcases a couple of different leaves, but is not the vibrant Fall leaves color you might expect.
Instead of vibrant colors I went with a more monochromatic palette with just a pop of color. But it is all about the leaves.
Background Layer
I used the Forever Fern stamp set to create the background layer. It is Soft Succulent that is stamped off once before going onto the Sahara Sand piece. After stamping the leaves, I used the new Time Worn Type 3D Embossing Folder to give a rough texture to the layer. To finish it off, I sponged Soft Succulent ink over the raised areas very lightly. Just enough to show the texture.
Die Cut Pieces
The die cut leaves are from the Stitched Leaves Dies. I used Soft Succulent, Sahara Sand and Bumblebee for the different leaves. The detail on the leaves is one I never get tired of seeing. As a grounding layer for the leaves, I went back to one of my favorite dies. It is the Painted Labels Die swirly circle. The shimmer you see is from the 2021-2023 Shimmer Vellum. This one is the Evening Evergreen. That shimmer is so pretty!
Finishing Touches
To finish off the theme, I used a sentiment from the Sale-A-Bration stamp set, Delicate Dahlias. The full sentiment is Oh So Happy For You. I wanted just the Oh So Happy, like I am Oh So Happy it is cooler weather for the Fall theme!!! All it takes is a small post it note to cover the For You when inking up, and I had what I wanted. The final touch to match the Bumblee leaf is a small Playing With Pattern Adhesive Dot.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you’ll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Sue Jackson at Just Peachy Stamping. There’s lots of inspiration to be found in this group – and you don’t want to miss it!

I am showcasing one of the Free Sale-A-Bration stamp sets today. It is one that is Free with a $50.00 product order. The Feels Like Home stamp set is a sweet set to have on hand. And if you are like me and love to color, then it is a perfect one to get.
Stamps
I love this little scene with the bicycle, flowers, and what appears to be, an older building and door. As soon as I saw this scene I thought of my trip to Amsterdam a few years ago. There were flowers everywhere and more bicycles than I would have imagined.
This layout is a bit of a “clean” one from my normal cards. I did not intend for it to be that way. But the stamp and the sweet sentiment sort of decided for me.
Colors
To bring out all of the images in the stamp, it required quite a bit of color. I thought a purple would go great with the Crumb Cake card base and the brown of the door. It needed to pop a bit. The 1/8″ border you see of Highland Heather is enough to pull the flower pots and bicycle flowers out. . All of the Stampin’ Blends I used are listed in the supply list. I will say that this is one of the shortest supplies lists I have ever done, with the exception of the Stampin’ Blends!!

For those of you that ordered my Paper Shares, the paper has arrived. I will get them completed over the weekend. The Blackberry Beauty, that was not originally available, is on it’s way. Hopefully the beginning of the week will see everything finished. I will let you all know when they are ready to go. Thank You again for ordering them.
Today’s card is a very clean and feminine card. I mixed the Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper with the Brew Some Fun stamp set.
Stamp Set
The Brew Some Fun stamp set pairs with the Warm Wraps Dies that are a carryover from the last Holiday Mini Catalog coffee set. This set has great little decorations and sentiments. I think of this type set as a Friends stamp set. One which I would make cards for specific friends and they would get the theme. Here is a look at the inside.
The little party hats are so cute. I colored them with Stampin’ Write Markers in a variety of purple and pink colors.
Paper and Color
The gorgeous and soft plaid paper is from the Pansy Petals Designer Series paper. I love a light purple or lavender color. With the business of the plaid, the sentiment did not need anything to add on to it. The tea cup is colored with the Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends.
The card base is Fresh Freesia with a layer of Basic White before the plaid DSP. The fun Fold is Basic White. I hope you will give this sweet stamp set a second glance if you have passed over it previously.
