Today for me means Fall!! I always think of October as the change into Fall with leaves becoming the gorgeous Fall colors and a relief from the heat of Summer. It also makes me think of Paper Crafting and Stampin’ Up! of course! World Card Making Day is October 3rd this year. And what a great way to start the month than making cards. Stampin’ Up! has added to that fun with a Designer Series Paper Sale! 15% OFF of select papers. I have them all listed below. I love that it is simply the 15% off and not buy a certain amount to get a free one.
I am sharing a card today that has one of these sale papers as the main design. It is the Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper. This paper was in last year’s Holiday catalog and was a Returning Favorite this year.
The Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper is two sided as all of Stampin’ Up!’s DSP, but this one is a bit different. The patterns are the same on both sides. The only difference is that one side is Garden Green and the other is Real Red. I love this!
This is a super quick card to make. I simply layered a strip of the Toile Tidings onto a strip of Real Red and adhered it to the front. The tag is made using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch along with the Rectangle Postage Stamp Punch. I believe they layered wonderfully together. The sentiment is from the Rustic Christmas stamp set. It is in the Annual Catalog and a favorite of mine. The images are all a bit on the smaller side and pair very well with this DSP. I finished it off with the 3/8″ Embroidered Ribbon from the Mini Catalog.
Here is a look at the inside of the card.
The little sprig is from the Rustic Christmas stamp set as well. And the DSP is another of the Toile Tidings patterns. You may not have really noticed from the front view of the card, but the front is cut shorter than the back. I wanted the striped DSP to show with the card closed. Plus it gives a bit of a different look, and I love different folds and cuts to cards. I have all of the measurements listed just below.
The card base is 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 scored at 4 1/4. Cut 1 1/4″ off of the front piece.
The striped DSP is cut to 5 1/2 x 1 1/2″ . This ensures there will not be a gap when the card is closed.
The front DSP is cut to 5 1/2 X 2
The Real Red beneath the DSP is cut to 5 1/2 X 2 1/4
The Real Red Tag is 2 X 2 1/2 prior to being punched
Thank you for stopping by today. Please return tomorrow for another new project!

I have gotten into the Slim Line cards somewhat. So I have another one to share with you today. For this card I used the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set. I believe this large flower, or any large flower, would be great on the slim line.
I really love how this card turned out! I went a bit bolder with the coloring on the flowers here and I have to say that the picture does not do it justice. I have to work on my photography!.
The sunflowers are stamped with Early Espresso Ink. I then colored the center, which is dark from the Early Espresso, all over with the Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends. I went over the darker areas with the Dark and then all over with the Light. The petals are colored with the Light Cajun Craze for the darker parts, and then Light Mango Melody all over. I was surprised at how well they all worked. It gives a lot more definition using the darker colors. I wanted to try it and it was great. So do not let your doubts stop you. It’s only paper!
The sentiment is from the Gather Together stamp set. I love the saying. I debated on layering the sentiment because of all the white space in the center. But I think the smaller sentiment in there sort of pops.
Thank you very much for stopping by today! I have the measurements listed right below here and the supplies I used are at the bottom of the post. Remember to day is the last day to get the added bonuses of the current Starter Kit Promotion!!

My Pocket Flap Card, I think I need a better name, is one I have done previously. I will add links to those later on. Today’s version is a quick Christmas Card. And one thing I love about this fold is that you can easily slip a gift card inside as well.
I paired the Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper with the Gold Foil for a very classy look. The DSP is one of the Returning Favorites from last Holiday Catalog and is in the current Mini Catalog. The small ornament punch is also part of the Returning Favorites. It is a pair of punches, this one and a larger ornament, named Gleaming Ornaments Punch Pack.
The sentiment across the top and the image on the inside are from the Tag Buffet Stamp set. This can be purchased with a Kit of tags or the stamp set alone. I love the stamp set and especially this Merry Christmas. Speaking of the Merry Christmas, I have stated previously that I dislike the Metallic Inks due to the messy and time consuming clean up. I have discovered the Cinnamon Cider Ink seems to have the same color and metallic look without the mess. When I stamped here and placed it against the foil, I was extremely pleased!!! I believe it is a perfect match and no messy clean up!
Here is a look at the inside of the card:
The white card pulls out for plenty of writing space. And since the bottom section is secured along each side, you have a secure spot to add a gift card if you wish.
NOTE: I used Tear & Tape to secure the sides here. I also put the inside white card in place when I secure the sides. And if adding a gift card, you would definitely want to place the gift card as you are securing it. This ensures you have enough room and it is not too tight and does not try to bend your card.
You can click HERE (this one has a video attached ) and HERE to see previous cards with this type fold.
Measurements:
Base card is 5 1/2 X 8 1/2, scored at 2 1/4 and 6 1/4 , or 2 1/4 from each end. (The folded card ends up as 5 1/2 X 4 instead of 4 1/4)
NOTE: The two “flaps” are the same measurements, it does not matter which you choose as the top.
Front flap Foil bases are 5 1/4 X 2 ( you need 2)
Front DSP is 5 X 1 3/4
Front White is 5 X 1 3/4
Inside card is 3 1/2 X 4 3/4
When securing bottom flap to hold inside card, lay the card in place before peeling off the Tear & Tape to secure the flap. This ensures you have room to easily slide the card in and out. If you are adding a gift card, lay it down there as well prior to securing.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you have a good rest of your day!

Today I have a twist to an old technique. Do you remember the “spotlighting” technique of many years ago? We would stamp a large image and then draw a circle, or stamp again on scrap and punch a circle. Then you only colored the image inside that circle. So today’s card began with that idea.
My idea of the “spotlight” didn’t quite work out. I planned to spotlight the wreath, but that looked odd because of the light just above it. It would have been a long oval instead of a circle. So I finally decided just to do the light pole and wreath. I am happy with how it turned out. I would still call this “spotlighting”, just a different version!
All of the stamps are from the Light Me Home stamp set. I love this image. It seems to be the Old Fashioned Christmas card look. I wanted Rich colors for the card and chose Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce. The colors I used in the wreath are all the Light color of each of the Stampin’ Blends. They are all listed in my supply list at the bottom of the post.
The sentiment is from the stamp set and is cut using the Layering Circles Dies. To give it a grounded look, I cut a strip of Shaded Spruce 1/2″ X 2 1/2″ and used the Banner Pick A Punch to make the banner end.
Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you will return tomorrow for another new project. Also, there are only two more days to take advantage of the Starter Kit Promotion I have listed below. Check it out before it is gone.

I have only played with the Beautiful World stamp set a couple of times. So I decided it was past time to pull it out again. The stamp set and matching DSP are wonderful.
I used the Beautiful World Bundle today. The cut outs in the globe are a favorite! I didn’t plan on it when choosing the DSP sheets, but I do love the map paper you can see through the cut outs of the globe. Surprises are always appreciated!
I chose the map piece of the World of Good Designer Series Paper as my starting point for today’s card. All of the sheets are gorgeous! Especially the ones with the foil accent. I had not previously used the piece in the background, so added it as well. With those two choices I decided on the Cinnamon Cider card stock as my card base. I am falling more and more in love with this color. It seems to match so many colors.
I chose to think of the colors in the background layer as blue and gray. The perfect match for that, at least to me, is Misty Moonlight. And that finished my color choices! I did add one of the 2020-2022 In Color Dots in Cinnamon Cider as the accent point on the sentiment.
Measurements:
Cinnamon Cider base card is 4 1/4 X 11
Misty Moonlight layer is 4 X 5 1/4
large DSP layer is 3 7/8 X 5 1/8
small Misty Moonligh layer is 2 1/4 X 4
small DSP layer is 2 X 3 3/4
scraps for Whisper White and Misty Moonlight Layering Circles
