The Cutest Crew Stamp Set may just be the best ever animal stamps from Stampin’ Up!. These guys cannot help but to make you smile. At least they make me smile. They look so happy, as little pups should. This card was for my neighbor’s birthday. Her little Doodle loves us and comes to visit regularly. Don’t tell anyone that it may be because we have treats for him!!

Stamps
The adorable line of puppies is one stamp from the stamp set. There is also one of kittens that I have used a few times as well. These little guys are so simple to stamp and color as you see fit. They make a card almost by themselves when used as I did. A layer behind the images and a sentiment is the requirements. Then all you have to decide is how to “decorate” everything.
To have a fun sentiment to go along with the pups I went to a different stamp set. There is a Happy Birthday in the set that is adorable. But I have really fallen for the one I used which adds the “to you” to the sentiment. This one is from the Exciting Times stamp set. I have already used this one several times both inside and outside on cards.
Layers
There are paper layers as well as decorative layers today. I used the Everyday Arches (you know they are a huge favorite of mine) to create a little hanging down banner for the sentiment. Or if you have a vivid imagination, it could be a tongue. A friend suggested that when seeing the pups on the card as well. Hhmmm. I am considering it a banner. No one said banners had to be pointed on the ends.
The beautiful, yet simple, DSP is from the Everyday Essentials Designer Series Paper. This paper has colors and designs that go with almost anything. As do these stripes. I paired them with the card base of Crumb Cake cut to 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 with a layer of Peaceful Pine cut to 5 1/8 X 3 7/8. The Peaceful Pine is also the layer behind the pups. That layer is 4 3/8 X 1 1/8. And the DSP measures 5 X 3 3/4. I went back to the DSP for the banner. It is a soft Crumb Cake that has a bit of splatter look on it. Please do not be afraid to stamp on your DSP!
Extras
The Extras are a single embellishment from the 2026-2028 In Color Dots. It is the Barely Blush for a soft look. I also used Shimmer Brushes as an Extra. The flowers, dog tags, and bandanas are all colored with Shimmer Brushes. For the flowers I used the Barely Blush, Peaceful Pine for the bandana, and finished with Golden Glow for the Dog Tags. These Shimmer Brushes are really fun to color with and add a good bit of sparkle. Think Wink of Stella but in colors.
