The July OnLine Exclusives have launched and some of them are really amazing. Those of you who are used to me and my silliness probably know the first one I am going to share with you. Yes it is one with crazy animals!! I am in love!
Stamps
These birds make me laugh every time I see them. They are so much fun and the sentiments pair perfectly. From the sentiment you can tell it is part of the stamp set. The “Hey” is separate from the other words and could be placed in another location, or left off. There are additional birthday sentiments as well.
The birds are colored using Bubble Bath, Barely Blush, and Fresh Freesia. Their legs and bills are colored using the Crisp Cantaloupe Shimmer Brush, as are the party hats with Hydrangea Hue Shimmer Brush.
Dies
This fabulous shape for the birds is from the Sweet Words & Labels Die set. I have used it quite a bit in the last two weeks. But as you can see it is a great Die set to have. I love the larger size as the birds with the saying required quite a bit of space.
Papers
The papers chosen for this card are fairly plain compared to my normal. Especially the brightness of the DSP. I wanted the birds and the layer to be the stars of the show. The card looks simple, and it is, but there are a few extra parts to it.
This simple polka dot DSP is from the Paper Medley Designer Series Paper from the May Catalog. The package is not tied to any other products like a Suite. But it matches quite a lot of different products. I really like that. To go with the Misty Moonlight of the DSP, I chose Bubble Bath from the bird coloring. Then added a thin layer of Basic White to highlight the white dots as well as the focal layer shape. A very neat and simple mix.
Extras
The only Extra for today are retired. They are Shimmer Dots. I chose them as they were the first I came to that included different shades of pink. You probably have shades of pink in your embellishment stash as well. I even debated on a blue to match the DSP. Hhmmm.
