Yesterday I shared a Fun Fold covered in Butterflies. Today is a really simple card and it also is covered in butterflies. The rainy weather is making me want sunshine again. So I have made my own pretty outdoors.
Papers
This card could not be much simpler to create. A couple of punches and some beautiful DSP. The background floral piece is from the Velvet Meadow Designer Series Paper. These floral papers in this package are amazingly beautiful. And they have the added advantage of having a bit of flocking on the white flowers. It is very subtle but fabulous.
The brilliantly variegated butterflies are from a piece of the Garden Poetry Designer Series Paper. The color matches the Berry Burst flowers and ties everything together very well. For the card base I used Daffodil Delight which also comes from the large DSP floral pattern. With a tiny bit of Basic White to separate the base and floral layer that is all you need.
Stamps and Punches
The Sending Lots of Sunshine was just what I had in mind for this card. This perfect sentiment is from the Springtime Scenes stamp set. I used Lost Lagoon Ink to stamp. It is another color pulled from the DSP. There are such gorgeous colors in this piece of DSP that you could remake this card in a variety of colors to match your intended recipient! I love that.
There are two punches used on this simple to create card. Punches are my Go To for quick and easy. Both of these punches are great for that and as you can see fit perfectly together. The sentiment is cut using the Rounded Rectangle Punch. It has a great size and the rounded edges make it just enough different from other Dies and punches. Of course the All Aflutter Punch speaks for itself. I could have stamped the butterflies and then punched those out. But I loved the look that just using pretty DSP gave. By attaching this trio with a Glue Dot it allows them to seem as if they are floating above the flowers.
Extras
The only Extra today is a trio of Bling. My bling of choice here are the Sunset Sparkle Sequins. I used the more clear ones for the butterflies. They seemed to stand out well and give a bit of shine to each butterfly. We would not want to overpower such pretty little things.
