A Fun Fold is one of my favorite type cards to create. The one I have to share today has the included bonus of a swarm of butterflies to really make you smile. At least I hope it makes you smile.

Stamp Bundle

This fun card is made with one of my favorite things, a Stamp and Punch Bundle named All Aflutter. Punches are so quick and easy to use, as well as great for traveling and crafting. It is that time of year. First are the butterflies. There are the outlines for three butterflies that are attached. And then fillers for the three butterflies also attached. This makes it extremely easy to line them up for clean stamping.

To create this card I wanted a lot of butterflies. Normally I would have kept it contained to the three. But I wanted the one for the inside, and since that meant stamping a second set of three, I thought I would use them all. They are all stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then filled using Fresh Freesia Ink. Using the punch gives you all three punched out at once. I adhered them with Glue Dots so they could seem a bit 3 Dimensional. The sweet sentiment is also from the stamp set.

Papers

The beautiful DSP with the gorgeous colors is a sheet from the Valley In Bloom Designer Series Paper. This is part of a Suite of products but all I used today is the papers. The greens are so vibrant and the color of the little bell flowers matches my butterflies. I believe the butterflies would be all over these plants!

Pulling from the DSP I chose Granny Apple Green as the card base and then Darling Duckling to match the little yellow flowers. To create the Fun Fold of the card base, I cut the Granny Apple to 11 X 4 1/4 and scored at 5 1/2. Next I cut the front flap from the top of the score line down to the opposite corner. This removes the top angle. Save this piece for a scrap for future projects. Then cut a piece of the DSP to measure 5 1/4 X 4 with the pattern going up in landscape mode. Make the angle cut from top left to bottom right. Now adhere the top section to the top inside of the card and the lower angle to that front section.

To finish the card, I added a small card. This ones is cut from the Darling Duckling and measures 3 1/4 X 7 1/2 and is scored at 3 3/4. You need two pieces of Basic White cut to 3 X 3 1/2. The front piece is stamped with the sentiment and has the added butterflies. The inside only has the one added butterfly. Do a dry fit of the folded card into the card base to get your positioning properly placed. Then simply adhere the back of the small card to the inside of the card base. Easy Peasy!!

Extras

The only Extras are a bit of bling. All of the butterflies fluttering around add quite a bit to the card. But of course there must be Bling. This was accomplished with a trio of Shimmering Dots in what matches the Granny Apple Green quite well.
