I have been working on Christmas cards for a couple of reasons. So this week is going to be all about Christmas. The Trucking Along Bundle is the star of today’s card. It is also a favorite of mine.
STAMP BUNDLE
This oh so fun stamp set is the Trucking Along set and is special for several reasons. First, it is simply adorable! Second, it is a Punch Bundle, my favorite kind of bundle. And third, fourth and so on….it has extras that make it an any time of year set.
The truck scene I have created is a country Christmas with gifts out for delivery. The truck stamp is a two step stamp. I used Cherry Cobbler Ink for the truck outline and then the fill stamp is stamped using Real Red Ink. The tires and gifts are colored using Stampin’ Blends. The gifts are a separate stamp that I fussy cut and then added to the back of the truck.
PAPERS
There is only a touch of DSP today. That is not my norm. Although I did pull the colors from that small piece. This fun design is from the Take A Bow Designer Series Paper. It is the 6X6 pack that goes with the Make A Bow Dies. There are a lot of great patterns in this paper. The card base is Granny Apple Green. It is a brighter and more festive green than the others. And the layer is Garden Green. Both are in the DSP, as is the Cherry Cobbler / Real Red of the truck.
EXTRAS
To add a little extra to the sentiment layer, I used the Deckled Rectangle Dies. The sentiment, which is from the Trucking Along set also, is the smallest Die and the truck is on the 3rd from smallest. Then for a touch of bling I added some Pearls. These are leftovers of the Festive Pearls from last holiday catalog. Any bling would be great. And you can color our pearls with Stampin’ Blends to create your own.
