Fun Folds are my favorite card to make and today is a twist on one of the most used fun folds.  Plus it stars the fabulous More Than Autumn Bundle.  This bundle is going to be available tomorrow when the Mini Catalog goes live.  If you do not have a current demonstrator and need a catalog, reach out to me and I will be happy to get one to you.

Stamp and Die Bundle

The More Than Autumn Bundle really is more than just a Fall / Autumn set.  It contains the coffee cup with whipped topping and sprinkles, mini marshmallows, donuts, pie, and fun sentiments.  Plus a couple of the sentiments have matching Dies.

Today I stamped all of the images using Pecan Pie Ink.  The donut and pie are stamped on the layer of Basic White.  And the coffee is stamped on scrap paper along with the whipped topping and the tiny pumpkin.  Everything is colored using Stampin’ Blends.  The fun sentiment carries to the inside where I also added more of the sprinkles.  Here is the two open views which allows you to see the Fun Fold.

The above view shows the second DSP on the flap as well as a peek at the inside.  And the next one shows the fully opened card.

Papers

This fun fold card base is from Cajun Craze.  The two DSP pieces are fairly dark, so I added a thin layer of Basic White to separate them from the Cajun Craze.  Plus I think it helps the white focal layers to pop as well.  The flap DSP is from the OnLine Exclusive Iconic Celebration Designer Series Paper.  This pack has paper for any theme for the rest of the year, plus New Year and Valentines Day.

The speckled paper on the inside of the card is from the Annual Catalog.  It is part of the To Market Designer Series Paper.  One of the things I love about Stampin’ Up! papers is how they coordinate due to the colors being consistent throughout.  I pulled the Pumpkin Pie as a darker color from the dotted paper.  Where the stamped speckles are Peach Pie for a lighter image.

How To:

The card base begins with a piece of Cajun Craze measuring 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 and scored at 4 1/4.  Next cut 2 1/8 off of one end.  (I have used this 1/2 flap many times as a card base.)  Now use the cut away piece and cut it in half.  This leaves you a piece that is 2 1/8 X 2 3/4.  Score one end at 3/4.  This becomes the hinge for the focal layer.  With the flap folded up at the bottom, add the hinge to the inside of the top.  See the photos.

The inside layer is Basic White at 5 1/4 X 4.  And the dotted DSP is 5 1/8 X 3 7/8.  The stamped inside layer is Basic White at 4 1/4 X 3.  For the flap the Basic White is 5 1/4 X 2 and the Iconic Celebration DSP is 5 1/8 X 1 7/8.  The front focal area Pumpkin Pie measures 4 3/4 X 3 1/2.  And the Basic White stamped layer is 4 1/2 X 3 1/4.  To add this to the hinge, fold the hinge inward and add adhesive to the bottom 2/3 of the hinge.  Place the Pumpkin Pie layers over the card and center on all four sides.  By adding the adhesive to the hinge it takes the guesswork out of trying to figure out how and where to place adhesive.
