I love bright colors. So today’s card is a happy one for me. The inspiration was a card I saw from a designer on Just Add Ink. It is a color challenge of Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, and Daffodil Delight. As I said, right up my alley!
Stamps
This fun flower is from the Color & Contours stamp set. I like the “scribbled” look of it. And it does not require a lot of color. I did follow the other colors for my coloring though. The flower petals are Daffodil Delight with Parakeet Party as the leaves and stem. And for some added color I speckled with stamped off Tahitian Tide.
The sentiment is a beautiful script! It is from the new Lasting Joy stamp set. I love the elegance of it. Yet it seems to be fine with the scribbled flower.
Dies
The Scallop Contour Dies are no longer bundled with the Color & Contour stamps, but thankfully both are still available. The scalloped layers have been a go to for some time now. The flower is on the middle of the sizes in those layers. And the scalloped border for the Parakeet Party is also included in the die set. It is big and bold, and perfect for this card!
Finishes
This card did not require much in the way of finishes. I gave the sentiment a jaunty little angle, which always is good. Plus it is punched on the ends using the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. I love those little ticket edges! I also added a trio of the 2022-2024 In Color Pearls. Simply moving the layers off to one side gives this card a bit of a different look from the beginning. I like different.
