I am playing along with the Paper Players Challenge with today’s card. It is the first time I have tried one of their challenges and this is a fun one. It is animals and Clean and Simple with lots of white space. If you know my style…..that is not my normal card. I will let you be the judge.
Here is the Challenge banner.
The beginnings of the card is another “Found on my desk” item! You would think by now that I would be down to desktop!! I found the negative to a die cut from the Painted Labels Dies. I used the negative and the new Blending Brushes to make the background. The beautiful blue is the Seaside Spray Ink. It was difficult for me to only use the card base and White!!
The Sloth is from the Back On Your Feet stamp set. I love these sweet images depicting oopsies in our lives. Humor is always a good thing. I stamped the sloth in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored using Stampin’ Blends. I highlighted his bandage with Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend on the edges instead of leaving it plain. The final touch was just the sweet “Sigh” sentiment from the stamp set.
Now that I completed the card, I find that I really like this Clean look! You may be seeing more of this type card in the future.

Jackie I LOVE this card! It’s so clean and fresh. I especially love how you created your background. So creative!
Clean and simple perfection, Jackie! Your little sloth is colored beautifully! I am so happy you decided to join us at The Paper Players this week. Welcome to our challenges!
So glad you found our challenge! You did a lovely job with it and one wouldn’t know that CAS isn’t your regular style! The sponged label as a background for the sloth is super smart; it’s a nice detail without adding a ‘heavy’ layers! Well done! Hope you’ll play again soon. Thanks for sharing at The Paper Players!
A very nice get well card.
I like the background you made with the negative. How do you do this? Do you have a video or link from something you have created in the past?
This is really thinking outside the box.
I love this so, so much, Jackie! That blended backdrop is pure perfection. ♥
Jackie, I love your card. Simple but with a wow factor. Thanks for sharing it.
