I made a patriotic birthday card to share with you for July 4th. Since it is considered the birthday of our country I felt it was appropriate.
The Happy Birthday is from the Monogram Messages stamp set. I stamped the H and B along with the happy and birthday. They are cut out or with the happy birthday, cut with the Classic Label Punch and then reinserted to make the banner tips.
The background was something I did a while back and has been laying on my desk. I was practicing watercoling with watercolor paper and reinkers. I had previously made the red stripes. I saw the piece when I was trying to think of a patriotic card to make. So all I had to do was go back and add the blue stripes. It isn’t perfect, but then neither am I 🙂
I do love the versatility of this Monogram Messages set and hope you will give it a second look. I really have not seen but a few samples with it. Thank you for stopping in today and I hope you can enjoy the weekend.
