The Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog debuted on Tuesday. I am still going through the products from my pre-order. That is a demonstrator perk. I love the catalog and flipping through it, but everything is even better when it is in my hands!! Today’s card is an example of that.
Flowers
The stamped image and the Designer Series Paper are both the Hand Penned Petals. Oh My! I thought it was pretty in the catalog. In person is way more exciting. The paper truly looks as if it is drawn in ink and then lightly watercolored.
For this card I chose the Single flower stem from the Hand-Penned Petals stamp set. Choosing the color was hard, as all of the colors in the DSP would work. I finally decided on the Highland Heather. The image is stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black and I used the fill stamp for the purple flower. The fill stamp left white places, as it shows on the DSP. I decided to try an experiment. Using the Highland Heather Dark Stampin’ Blend, I filled in the white spaces. The look that created is almost like a bleached look. I am happy with that experiment!
Finishing Touches
I put the card together and did not add a sentiment. Then I second guessed myself. I love the mix of fonts in each of the sentiments in this stamp set. As soon as I saw this “Anything is Possible”, I knew it was the correct one to use. That is such a sweet sentiment.
My final touch for the card was to add a Pastel Pearl in the center of the smaller flower. I chose the one that is a light blueish color. It brings out some of the very light blue in the DSP. And I believe the single pearl was enough of embellishments.
Thank you for stopping by today. I really do appreciate you looking at my projects. All of the supplies I used are at the bottom of the post.

Have you gotten through the new Annual Catalog? I find something new and add to my wish list every time I go through it. Today’s project is a partner to the card I shared yesterday. You can see that card HERE if you missed it.
A Quick Gift
The star of this project is this gorgeous Ombre Gift Bag. The pack contains 4 each of the 5 New 2021-2023 In Colors. So 20 bags for a low price of $6.00. That is a deal to me. The bags measure 4 3/4 X 7, so they are plenty roomy for any small gift. Even a cookie would be a sweet treat in this bag.
I used all of the same stamps and colors as the card from yesterday. The flower is from the Flowers of Friendship stamp set. The Polished Pink and Soft Succulent really compliment each other. And the larger flower on the tag is proportioned well for the size of the bag.
New Punch
The focal part of the tag is the stamped area. But did you notice the fancy top of the tag? It is the new Elegant Tag Punch. It comes as part of a bundle and part of a Suite of products. Punches are always a favorite of mine.
This one is special in that you can make the tag as long as you wish. It is designed to feed in and punch the top, but the tail of the paper can extend beyond the punch. The only requirement is that the width of the paper be 1 3/4 or smaller. My tag measures 1 3/4 X 4 1/2 before punching the top.
Finishing Touches
Today’s finishing touches are two different ones. I added the matching Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon that I used on the card from yesterday. This tag has a simply bow as that is all it really needed. I also added the Bumblebee Trinket again. These little guys are so stinkin’ cute!!
The finish of the bag is to simply fold it over. I added the tag with a single Stampin’ Dimensional. The weight of the tag , along with creasing the bag fold, keeps the bag closed very well.
Thank you for stopping by today. I really appreciate your visits and comments. The companion projects are to share with you how everything with Stampin’ Up! products pair so easily. All of today’s supplies are listed at the bottom of the post.

The New Annual Catalog is HERE !!!! I am so excited to share with you some of the new products. I hope you are as excited about this catalog as I am. Getting the new catalog and sitting down with a beverage is one of my favorite things!

Today’s New Products
I have mixed a Bundle, that includes a punch, with some new border dies. Punches are always a favorite of mine. And I have found that creating pretty edges on my cards are an easy yet special touch. Tomorrow I will share a matching gift bag and tag to this card.
This card began with the Flowers of Friendship Bundle. It is a flower set with a matching punch. But it is so much more than that. The fonts of the sentiments are really nice, and are different from any before. The punch is called Flowers and Leaves Punch. It punches two different single flowers along with leaves.
Layers
I used the large flower from the stamp set and colored it using the Stampin’ Blends. All of my colors are Polished Pink and Soft Succulent. I stamped a couple of the single flowers and colored them as well. One of the flowers I cut into petals and using the Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, added it over top of the main flower. I love the dimension it gives to the card.
The gorgeous edge of the card is made using one of the Basic Borders Dies. This is also a new set in the Annual Catalog. There are 6 different edging dies that could be used in a variety of ways. For me it is an easy way to give my card a totally different look.
Extras
This card has an element that I rarely use. I buy the trinkets, and then never use them. Today I did use the Bumblebee Trinket. All it takes is a single Glue Dot to hold this cute bee into place. And I believe it adds quite a bit to the card. The other extra is the new In Color Open Weave Ribbon. It is a dream to work with and comes in all 5 of the New In Colors.
Thank you for stopping by today. I have all of these new supplies listed at the bottom of the page. You can simply choose the Shop button on the menu bar at the top of the page. It will take you directly to my online store. And I would appreciate your order very much. I have a host code listed just below as well.

I have needed a slew of birthday cards lately. And I see that as a Good Thing!. One that works so well for men, women, and children is the Sweet Ice Cream Bundle. It is so Sweet!! And yes the “sweet” is part of the bundle name. Today’s card is for a male, but I believe you will agree that it would work for anyone.
So Cool
For me the background DSP is the star of the card. Those splotches are wonderful colors. The paper is the Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper. The Terracotta Tile layer behind the top piece is also from the same DSP pack. You know that I love my paper layers!
The ice cream treat is punched using the Ice Cream Builder Punch. It is part of the Bundle with the stamp set. Both of these products are carrying over into the new Annual Catalog. Which debuts tomorrow !!! The cone is from a page of the DSP. The two scoops are also from the DSP. The top one is from the sheet that is just like my top layer, except in the Terracotta colors. The bottom scoop is from the same sheet as the top layer. I chose one of the lighter sections. How cool is that???
Banner Highlights
The banner is cut using the Triple Banner Punch. I am really sad to see this great punch retire. It makes these banners so quick and easy to do. I stamped the sentiment using Terracotta Tile Ink on the white banner and then added sprinkles. The sprinkles are the Ice Cream Corner Sprinkles. They are not adhesive backed, but just a drop of Multipurpose Liquid Glue holds them perfectly. I also added a few to the top scoop of the ice cream.
Thank you for coming by today to see my project. If you have not placed your final order for the current Annual Catalog, now is the time to do it. Simply click on the Shop button at the top of my blog page. Be sure and use my Host Code that is further down in the post. You get added benefits!

I have a difficult time making cards for men. Especially ones that are not so young. (Isn’t that a nice way of phrasing the age?) One stamp set that is perfect for this age group, or anyone who loves flight, is the Soar Confidently stamp set from the Mini Catalog.
Framing
The Well Suited Designer Series Paper has been a “Go To” for masculine cards. I love the simple patterns and the surprise of the Poppy Parade in some of the sheets. To frame the airplane I used three different sheets of the DSP. The touch of Poppy Parade peeking out behind the Navy layer is the same as the top layer of DSP. My thought with these layers was similar to multiple mats in the framing of a picture.
Let It Shine
For the airplane, I stamped it in Night of Navy Ink and did nothing else. I love the extreme details in the drawing of this stamp. It has all it needs simply with the stamped image.
To add the finishing touch, I used the tag from the Hydrangea Haven Bundle. It is the perfect size for a small sentiment. The “for you” is from the Hydrangea Hill stamp set. To add the tag, I used the Navy Twine from the Well Suited Twine Combo. A simple little bow was the finishing touch.
Thank you very much for stopping by here today. I hope you enjoyed this simple card. The layers may appear more difficult, but it is definitely not! A few layers of paper and a stamp is all you need.
Reminder
There are only a few days left of the Annual Catalog as well as the Retiring Items. They go away on Monday Night! So please double check your wish list and don’t miss out on something you like.

Today’s card is the last time I get to share the Kangaroo & Company Bundle with you. Sadly it’s time is almost over. I think these stamps are some of the cutest ever in regard to the animals. And the versatility with the images that fit with it are simply adorable.
My plan
This little Kangaroo is so cute. My thought with the circles is that they match the DSP. The Designer Series Paper is the Ice Cream Corner DSP. It is the green ice cream for the stick on the opposite side. The front of the card was intended to make you wonder what is on the inside. I think the little envelope, which is part of the stamp and the die sets, lends to that thought. And the little butterfly is perfect for the delivery!
Here is the inside of the card.
I gave the Mom some gifts to deliver in her little pouch. I could not decide on the sentiment, so left that off until I needed it. The gifts could work for either a birthday or a baby shower in my way of thinking. The gifts are attached to the little piece from the die set which allows the item you are using to be pulled out of the pouch and then returned as well.
Original Idea
My first thought for this card was the same overall, but to be made a square card. That was great right up until I was going to add the kangaroo on the inside. Yes, you guessed correctly. The Mom Kangaroo is too tall. But here is a picture of that card as well.
The only difference on the front is the cardstock strips. I felt with the extra space on the larger card, the circle needed to be grounded. Other than the strips, the layout is the same. So you get two ideas for the same project and supplies! What a deal!!
