QUICK REMINDER: Today is the last day for the Free Shipping on orders of $75.00 or more. I know I have to get an order in myself!
Today’s card is a sweet one. And it is a nod towards a fun new set that is in the upcoming Annual Catalog. If you know me, then you know I love the quirky animals that Stampin’ Up! has. Hint, Hint!
STAMPS
This fun turtle is my nod to an upcoming mega suite of products featuring some playful turtles. But this guy has always been one I am drawn to. He looks very shy to me. He is part of the Playing In The Rain stamp set, with matching Dies. Both are on the Last Chance List but still available and discounted.
To achieve a softer look for the shy turtle, I stamped him in Old Olive Ink and then colored with Old Olive, Lemon Lime Twist and some shading of Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends. He is not a stand out type guy.
The sentiment is from the all sentiment stamp set named Wonderful Thoughts. It is a great set to have on hand with smaller sentiments for any occasion. This little “Hello, Friend” just seemed perfect for my shy guy to say.
DIES
All of the Dies used are from the same great set. It is the Stylish Shapes Dies. This set includes layering squares, circles and banners. For this card I used the two largest of the Circle Dies for Mr. Turtle and his layer. And the smallest Banner Die for the little sentiment, They all have the little stitching around the edges which I love.
PAPERS
This card debuts, from me anyway, the Cloud Cover cardstock. This is a new InColor for 2025-2027. It is a soft blue/gray. I have paired it with two patterns from the Floral Delight Designer Series Paper. The listed coordinating colors mention Pool Party as the background for this floral pattern. When I placed the Cloud Cover with it, that seemed to match the shade better and it did match the little dots that are in the background. So I think it is a winner.
The textured green is the same for both the layer and the sentiment layer. It really pulls the green from the flower leaves as well as the turtle. And it actually works with the Cloud Cover as well. I think this will be a new favorite.
EXTRAS
There are two Extra today. I added a strip of Daffodil Delight 1/8 Ribbon around the two layers and beneath Mr. Turtle. It sort of ground him. The second Extra is bling, but a new one. This single hexagon is from the upcoming catalog also and is part of the turtle suite I mentioned in the beginning. They are called Shades Of Green Hexagons. There are a lot of them. The package contains several shades of green in a couple of sizes. I love that it is a new shape. Hopefully you will love them as well.

I have a fun card for you today. But before we get there, remember that the Free Shipping on orders of $75.00 or more is happening thru tomorrow. That is a great deal. Especially with all of the products on the Last Chance List.
Now for today’s card: I have paired a lot of new/upcoming products for a debut. Sadly that doesn’t give you much of a supply list, but I will update it once the products are available.
STAMPS& DIES
This fun tag is from the upcoming Paper Tags Bundle. It will be available in the May OnLine Exclusives release. When I saw this demonstrated at OnStage last month, I knew I had to have it. And I was even more surprised when I used it to make this card.
The way the tag stamps, and then Die cuts with the white edge, it makes it appear the White is embossed. But it is not. The detail is fabulous. Also in playing with the Dies, I found that the two tags layer, or are great individually. I began with the individual, and then realized they could layer. So there is my convoluted thinking process. LOL!!!
To create the tag I pulled the Strawberry Slush from the DSP. In case this color looks and sounds familiar, Strawberry Slush was a previous In Color. Now it has returned as a new 2025-2027 In Color.
PAPERS
This bright floral DSP is from another upcoming product. It is the Celebratory Sips Designer Series Paper. This is a perfect summer paper with not just these small flowers, but other sheets that have summery drinks on them. The Stamps and Dies are great as well.
The colors were all pulled from the DSP. I chose the Strawberry Slush, mentioned with the stamping, as the card base and the stamped tag color. Then opted for the deep Blackberry Bliss for the thin layer and the tag layer. I was really surprised how these colors paired so well.
EXTRAS
There are two Extras today. The little green bow is from the Pack Your Bags Twine 3 pack. It is the only item that is available right now. It is part of the fun suite of products named On The Go. It is in the Online Exclusives. If you like to travel please check this one out. It is available now.
The final Extra is bling of course. What I chose is the new 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls. These have a pearly shine to them. Plus each color includes three different sizes. I have used one of each and I especially love the ones that are flat. That makes mailing much simpler. The one I used is the Timid Tiger new color.

Having been working on pulling and rearranging my stamps, I am falling in love with some all over again. Today I am focussing on one beautiful image and have paired it with a new floral DSP. Simple and elegant.
STAMPS
This single image from the Everyday Details stamp set is one that I have used several times. I love the size and different flowers. Plus it is one that can stand alone as I have used it today. This set , along with the coordinating Dies, are on the Last Chance List. The Dies are circles and squares that have larger than usual holes around the edges.
The image is stamped using Gray Granite Ink. I have been using grays for images that I plan on coloring. In this case, you can see how the outline is there, but not overwhelmng. I like that in some cases. All of the colors were pulled from the DSP, with the exception of the green. I used Old Olive Stampin’ Blends here since Garden Green does not have a pair of Stampin’ Blends. So sad!
PAPERS
The fabulously bold and beautiful DSP here is from the new Florals In Bloom Designer Series Paper. These colors just seem to pop out of the paper. And I really love when a blue is added to flowers. For some reason it seems to make them stand out more, instead of detracting as you would expect. This wonderful paper is part of the Florals In Bloom Suite that is coming in May.
For the card base I went with the soft Bubble Bath cardstock. But then added Night of Navy (there is my blue again) for the layer. I was afraid the DSP would fade into the light color of the base. And again I used the Night of Navy for the layer behind the focal flower.
EXTRAS
This focal layer was designed to really stand out. The flower does that, but I wanted to add a bit extra. So my favorite EXTRA of today is the Textured Notes Die. These Dies are part of the Botanical Suite of products in the Online Exclusives.
The last EXTRA is bling of course. I went a bit overboard and added a Iridescent Pearl to the center of each of the flowers. It does not really stand out, but is noticeable, and that is all I ask.
STAMPIN’ REWARDS
The new Stampin’ Rewards begins on April 15. I think you will Love this new version. You will earn rewards on all orders over $20.00 in products The system will track your rewards for you. I am still working on going through my stamps and marking the ones moving over to the Last Chance List. One that I use for a quick card is the one I have to share today. The Poised Peony looks great as simple or stepped up. And I have stepped it up just a bit for you.
STAMPS
The stamps I used are from the Poised Peony stamp set. Peonies are probably my most favorite flower. They remind me of my Mom and my grandmother. Sadly the deer like them as well. They have eaten all of mine. But this is one that I can look at anytime of year.
The image is stamped using Basic Gray Ink. I have found this gives lighter outline and softens with the Stampin’ Blends over it. The Stampin’ Blends are Bubble Bath and then Petunia Pop for the tips. The leaves are Old Olive. I did have to fussy cut the flower. But it was well worth the trouble I believe.
This card could be for any occasion with the simple Hello sentiment on the front. That is included in the set as well. Except this is actually a birthday card and I failed to photograph the inside. I added the medium size peony on the inside. There are actually three different sizes of this gorgeous flower iincluded.
PAPERS
The decision on the flower colors also decided the card base and layer colors. Then I ran across this Regal Distressed Patterns Specialty Designer Series Paper. I believe it came out as a special during the holidays. However the three different sheets are not holiday prints. So I felt like making my birthday peony special. Actually the gold netting look is similar to what I tried to protect my peony bush with to keep the deer from eating it.
EXTRAS
There are a couple of Extras today. First is the Everyday Arches Dies. Sadly they are currently unavailable but are coming back. I used the smallest of these dies for this sentiment frame. Because it was larger than needed for the word, I added a ribbon knot onto the one end. This is Petunia Pop to match the card base. And to complete the card with bling, I used a scattering of Gold Textured Dots around the card. Both the stamp set and the Gold Dots are still available on the Last Chance List with a little bit of a discount.
STAMPIN’ REWARDS
The new Stampin’ Rewards begins on April 15. I think you will Love this new version. You will earn rewards on all orders over $20.00 in products The system will track your rewards for you. Yesterday I mentioned I was using some of the wonderful products from the Last Chance List that are still available. My Fun Fold card for today uses the Adventurous Sky Bundle. I love Fun Folds and this one is a great Pop Up type. Plus the card layout will work with any stamp set.
STAMPS& DIES
This fun stamp set is the Adventurous Sky. The stamp set is gone from the Last Chance list since I checked, but the Dies are still available and the DSP as well. The front sentiment, which I love, is from the stamp set. And is die cut using a Die from the Cheerful Daisies Die set. These Dies are on the Last Chance List as well, but still available. The stitching and the edge trim are so cute.
The inside airplane is stamped and then colored using Stampin’ Blends. I Die cut it with the matching Die set. (The Dies cut several of the planes from the DSP also.) And the inside sentiment is from the set.
PAPERS
The card colors all come from the DSP. It is the Take To The Sky Designer Series Paper. And it is not retiring , but is currently on Low Inventory. I decided the card base should be Night of Navy to match the large DSP sheet on the front. A layer of Basic White helps that piece to pop . The angled plane piece on front is one of the sheets also. There is one sheet that has six or eight tag size designs. This is one of those. And the copper DSP strip is to help match the plane.
The inside is a piece of Basic White with a simple method cut from the folded center that pops out to hold the plane and sky. That little strip I added of sky is also from the DSP.
EXTRAS
There are two Extras today. The Jute Twine around the top adds some texture to a simple area of the card. It is from the 2023-2025 InColor Jute Trim. This is the Boho Blue twine. Since those colors are retiring, it is on the Last Chance List as well. And the bling for today is very simple. I placed a single bling from the 2025-2027 In Color Flat Pearls on the sentiment.
MEASUREMENTS
This layout is one I see myself repeating quite often. Any stamped image that will look good popped up on the inside will work. Or with the simple matchbook design, it can be more of a plain card without a pop up. I cased this card from Sunny Day Stampin’.
The card base measures 9 3/4 X 3 3/4 scored at 5 1/4. The taller half is the back of the card. Then the top section measures 4 1/4 X 2 1/2 and is scored at 1 1/4. The taller half of the base fits, centered, into the folded center of this piece to create the matchbook.
For the inside piece, Basic White is cut to measure 3 3/4 X 9 3/4 and is scored at 5. Again the taller section is the back. Now fold this and place the fold on your paper trimmer. cut a 3/4 ” slit through the folded card stock, making sure it cuts through both pieces, at 1 1/2 and 2. This pushes out and becomes the pop up holder.
The DSP layers for my card are 3 1/2 X 4 1/4 for the blue and white large front piece. Then 1 X 4 for the matchbook top. And the DSP with the plane on the front is 1 1/4 X 2 1/2.
STAMPIN’ REWARDS
