Geared Up

Even though the Geared Up Garage stamp set is carrying over, I realized I had not used it often and especially had not used the accessories.  So I had to fix that little issue and made a card that is quick, cute, and masculine.

I love this car as a masculine card, but it could very well be a female card with her favorite car color.

For this one I began with Crumb Cake card stock, Layered Soft Suede that I embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.  And then topped it with Very Vanilla card stock.

The Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder is a new one and is Super!  It looks like a furniture fabric to me.  Or a more deeply embossed version of the Subtle Embossing Folder.  I think it will join the Subtle Folder for a “perfect for any card” type go to background.

The car is stamped in Soft Suede with Sahara Sand as the “exhaust” !  When I first saw that stamp and tried to figure out what to do with it, that is what I saw.  I hope I am not the only one who sees exhaust or dust coming from the back of the car.

For the sentiment, I stamped it in Soft Suede as well.  Both layers are cut using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. To add the little Key, I used a 10″ piece of Linen Thread.  I placed the thread centered over the front of the sentiment and went around back and then back to the front with each end.  I tied a knot, added the key on one of the strings, and tied another knot.  I do love how that little key makes a big different on the card.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you have a great weekend.  I look forward to sharing more projects with you next week.

Below are links to the two Retiring or Last Chance Lists.  Keep in mind, a Bundle may retire, but the stamp set and dies or punch can still carry over.  So look for the individual item.  Also, all of the Stampin’ Blends are not retiring.  It is only that in the new catalog, they will be sold in the combo pack only.  The only ones retiring are the 2018-2020 In Color ones.

You may also click on the Shop Now on my Menu bar and be taken to my online store.  There you can see all of the Retiring / Last Chance items as well as all other products.

Masculine Celebration

I struggle somewhat with masculine cards.  Especially for other than a birthday.  It is hard to choose a design that would meet the needs of say a promotion, retirement, even graduation.  Today’s card could fit those categories.

I love these colors from the designer series paper!  The paper is the Country Club Designer Series Paper with the addition of Garden Green as the base and Poppy Parade as the stitched layer.

The layers and sentiment are from the So Sentimental Bundle.  The dies have been on back order and are now back in stock!!  Woohoo.  These dies are awesome.  They not only have three varied shapes for sentiments but also the stitched and scalloped layers for layering or large sentiments.

I went with the DSP as the focal point of the card and chose two complimentary patterns.  I added the Poppy Parade layer to break it up a bit.  I generally layer my sentiments, but this cute shape did not need it.  Especially with the bold prints behind it.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you will give this layered card a try and share your version with me on my Facebook Page, Blue Line Stamping.

Blossoms

Today I am sharing one of the New Release Sale-A-Bration Items.  It is subtle on the card, and that is a great definition of the item.  Have you guessed what it is?  Yes, It is the So Very Vellum.  And it is more beautiful in person.  I love the soft colors.

The vellum comes with this embossing already done for you.   All of the sheets have the same embossing.  The vellum I chose for the background is the Soft Sea Foam one.  I used the Highland Heather Vellum for the flowers.  They are die cut using the Dies from Forever Blossoms Bundle.  The embossed vellum gives an added definition to the petals.

The stamp is from the Forever Blossoms stamp set.  It also is die cut using the bundled dies.  That is such a great focal point for any design you could come up with.

I stamped in Smoky Slate Ink and then colored with Soft Sea Foam and Purple Posy Stampin’ Blends.  For the bow, I used the Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.  It is simply wonderful to work with.  I don’t usually do multiple loops with ribbon, but this is so silky and thin I went for it.

Thank you for stopping in today.  I have new projects each day to share with you.  And this coming Wednesday is the InKing Royalty Blog Hop, you will not want to miss that.

Sale-A-Bration is heading towards the final month.  Please don’t miss out on a great opportunity to get an awesome amount of product for very little money!  And the fun of joining my team, as well as InKing Royalty.  We share a great community of stampers and you could be part of it!!

The Ultimate Bundle is the Stampin’ Up! Starter Kit.  During Sale-A-Bration you get the extra value for your $99.00.  If you have a wish list or are ready to place an order and it totals close to 99.00, please read this first.

There is NO OBLIGATIONS to do anything beyond ordering the kit. You pay $99.00 + tax and receive $125.00 of your choice of products + any stamp set from the annual or mini catalog (the most expensive one is the Well Said set with a $45.00 price) + the Mini Paper Cutter, a $26.50 value + the 6X6 DSP sampler pack (48 sheets of DSP) an $11.50 value + a Paper Pumpkin Kit with a value of $22.00 + FREE Shipping which is usually 10% of the order and would add another $23.00 value here.  This equals over $230.00 value + business supplies added in at no cost.  That is an awesome deal!!  And you never have to purchase another thing.  But while you are trying it out, and you have until the end of July before your trial period runs out, you are part of my Team!  As well as my upline’s team.  We have Facebook groups to share our projects and assist each other.  I would love to talk with you about this opportunity.

Kerchief Cards

I am sharing one of the FREE Sale-A-Bration products today.  It is the Kerchief Card Kit.  Usually when I use these Kits from the catalogs, I add extra items in addition to the kit supplies.  For these samples, I stuck strictly to the supplies given.

I did used products included in the kit, but I did not copy the cards in the brochure.  They are similar, but I added and moved pieces around.  Overall I give this kit a grade A!  They were quick, easy, and fun to play with.

When I finish the other four, I will do my usual and add other items.  I will share those with you as well and refer back to this post so you can compare.

I have taken the Paper Pumpkin kits on trips with me so I do not go into stamping withdrawal.  This kit would be a great one to take as all you need are a pair of paper snips for the ribbon as an addition.

Thank you for visiting today.  I hope you will come back for a new project on Monday!  I am hoping for no rain this weekend.  I hope your weekend goes as you want.

Pals January 2020 Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pals’ Blog Hop! We’re so glad you’re here because it’s “Time to Sale-A-Brate”! We’re showcasing our favorite new products from 2020 Sale-A-Bration brochure. You may be starting the hop here or coming from a previous Pal’s blog. Either way, you’ve come to the right place. You’ll find the full line-up below to help you move, or “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Happy New Year stampers!  I am starting the new year with a Celebration cake.  Who doesn’t love cake?  I tried to keep the card fairly simple and something you would all want to use again and again when a cake is needed.

My celebration cake is created with the Happy Birthday To You Sale-A-Bration stamp set.  When I first saw this cake, I thought it would be beautiful for showers and weddings.  I never seem to have that kind of set on hand.  But after playing it with and going for the more simple approach, I believe it can be used as any celebration that requires cake.  Who wouldn’t want all of those roses to eat?? 🙂

It does not show well in the photo but the flowers have Wink Of Stella on the petals.  I stamped the cake and sentiment in Smoky Slate Ink.  I did not want a dark cake.  I was planning on a soft look with all the colors.

I used a variety of the Stampin’ Blends to color the cake and flowers.  I outlined the cake definition lines and shaded the cake stand.  I debated on fussy cutting a flower and layering it on the cake.  But my plan all along was a pretty card that would not be too time consuming to make.  I look at a lot of the stamps and make my choices based on that.  All of the colors are listed in the supply list at the bottom of the page.

The ribbon is a member of the Parisian Blossoms Suite. The suite is one of the “I want it all” suites of products.  It is the Petal Pink Metallic Edge Ribbon.  I chose to just frame with the ribbon instead of overpowering the cake with a bow.

More inspiration awaits! Use the Blog Hop Line-up below to visit the rest of this month’s Design Team. My fellow Pals are excited to show you what they’ve created! Don’t forget to show us some love by commenting on our creations. Mark your calendars for Wednesday, February 12th, for our Art From The Heart blog hop when our Design Team showcase projects made from the heart for any occasion. Don’t miss the fun!

Thank you for stopping in while on the hop.  I would love to hear from you.

The Gang for GDP220

You may have seen the Gangs All Meer stamp set in the upcoming Sale-A-bration catalog.  I have seen several sneak Peeks of them.  So I am sharing one today.  It fit perfectly with my Global Design Project Case The Designer Challenge.

The Gangs All Meer makes an adorable card that any age recipient would love.  I know I would.  It makes me Smile!!  The Case The Designer Challenge (GDP220) is such a fun challenge.  Casing is Using the card for inspiration, colors, layout, and everything down to almost copying it.  Of course if you copy exactly please give credit to the person you copied.

In this instance, here is the card I Cased.

These challenges are a great way to get ideas when you cannot get anything to work from your brain to your hands.  I have that problem quite often and look back at challenges to get an idea.

I paired the stamped image with the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper.  I love the colors it contains.  Of Course my card base and layers are from that striped piece of DSP.  The ribbon is Calypso Coral Satin ribbon and is a great way to “ground” the framed focal point.

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you will return tomorrow for another new project.  And if you need a hint to someone for a gift for yourself, or if you have a stamping friend who is hard to by for, I Have Gift Certificates.  All you have to do is contact me and I will do it right away.

All of the supplies I used on today’s project are listed at the bottom of the page.
